Exodus 32:35 יְהוָ֖ה And YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּגֹּ֥ף sent a plague way·yig·gōp̄ הָעָ֑ם on the people hā·‘ām עַ֚ל because of ‘al אֲשֶׁ֣ר what ’ă·šer עָשׂ֣וּ they had done ‘ā·śū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָעֵ֔גֶל with the calf hā·‘ê·ḡel אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer אַהֲרֹֽן׃ס Aaron ’a·hă·rōn עָשָׂ֖ה had made . ‘ā·śāh Exodus 33:1 יְהוָ֤ה Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר said way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁה֙ Moses , mō·šeh לֵ֣ךְ “ Leave lêḵ עֲלֵ֣ה ‘ă·lêh מִזֶּ֔ה this place , miz·zeh אַתָּ֣ה you ’at·tāh וְהָעָ֔ם and the people wə·hā·‘ām אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer הֶֽעֱלִ֖יתָ you brought up he·‘ĕ·lî·ṯā מֵאֶ֣רֶץ out of the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt , miṣ·rā·yim אֶל־ [and go] to ’el- הָאָ֗רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer נִ֠שְׁבַּעְתִּי I promised niš·ba‘·tî לְאַבְרָהָ֨ם to Abraham , lə·’aḇ·rā·hām לְיִצְחָ֤ק Isaac , lə·yiṣ·ḥāq וּֽלְיַעֲקֹב֙ and Jacob ū·lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ לֵאמֹ֔ר when I said , lê·mōr אֶתְּנֶֽנָּה׃ ‘ I will give it ’et·tə·nen·nāh לְזַרְעֲךָ֖ to your descendants . ’ lə·zar·‘ă·ḵā Exodus 33:2 וְשָׁלַחְתִּ֥י And I will send wə·šā·laḥ·tî מַלְאָ֑ךְ an angel mal·’āḵ לְפָנֶ֖יךָ before you , lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וְגֵֽרַשְׁתִּ֗י and I will drive out wə·ḡê·raš·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ the Canaanites , hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî הָֽאֱמֹרִ֔י Amorites , hā·’ĕ·mō·rî וְהַֽחִתִּי֙ Hittites , wə·ha·ḥit·tî וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י Perizzites , wə·hap·pə·riz·zî הַחִוִּ֖י Hivites , ha·ḥiw·wî וְהַיְבוּסִֽי׃ and Jebusites . wə·hay·ḇū·sî Exodus 33:3 אֶל־ Go up to ’el- אֶ֛רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ זָבַ֥ת flowing zā·ḇaṯ חָלָ֖ב with milk ḥā·lāḇ וּדְבָ֑שׁ and honey . ū·ḏə·ḇāš כִּי֩ But kî לֹ֨א I will not lō אֶֽעֱלֶ֜ה go ’e·‘ĕ·leh בְּקִרְבְּךָ֗ with you , bə·qir·bə·ḵā כִּ֤י because kî אַ֔תָּה you ’at·tāh קְשֵׁה־ are a stiff-necked qə·šêh- עֹ֙רֶף֙ . . . ‘ō·rep̄ עַם־ people ; ‘am- פֶּן־ otherwise , pen- אֲכֶלְךָ֖ I might destroy ’ă·ḵel·ḵā בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ you on the way . ” bad·dā·reḵ Exodus 33:4 הָעָ֗ם When the people hā·‘ām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע heard way·yiš·ma‘ הַזֶּ֖ה these haz·zeh הָרָ֛ע bad hā·rā‘ הַדָּבָ֥ר tidings , had·dā·ḇār וַיִּתְאַבָּ֑לוּ they went into mourning , way·yiṯ·’ab·bā·lū וְלֹא־ and no wə·lō- אִ֥ישׁ one ’îš שָׁ֛תוּ put on šā·ṯū עֶדְי֖וֹ any of his jewelry ‘eḏ·yōw עָלָֽיו׃ . . . . ‘ā·lāw Exodus 33:5 יְהוָ֜ה For YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֨אמֶר had said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֗ה Moses , mō·šeh אֱמֹ֤ר “ Tell ’ĕ·mōr אֶל־ . . . ’el- בְּנֵֽי־ the Israelites bə·nê-
