Exodus 32:13 זְכֹ֡ר Remember zə·ḵōr עֲבָדֶ֗יךָ Your servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā לְאַבְרָהָם֩ Abraham , lə·’aḇ·rā·hām לְיִצְחָ֨ק Isaac , lə·yiṣ·ḥāq וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל and Israel , ū·lə·yiś·rā·’êl לָהֶם֮ to lā·hem אֲשֶׁ֨ר whom ’ă·šer נִשְׁבַּ֣עְתָּ You swore niš·ba‘·tā בָּךְ֒ by Your very self bāḵ וַתְּדַבֵּ֣ר when You declared wat·tə·ḏab·bêr אֲלֵהֶ֔ם . . . , ’ă·lê·hem זַרְעֲכֶ֔ם ‘ {I will make} your descendants zar·‘ă·ḵem אַרְבֶּה֙ as numerous ’ar·beh אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- כְּכוֹכְבֵ֖י as the stars kə·ḵō·wḵ·ḇê הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם in the sky , haš·šā·mā·yim אֶתֵּן֙ and I will give ’et·tên לְזַרְעֲכֶ֔ם your descendants lə·zar·‘ă·ḵem וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl הַזֹּ֜את this haz·zōṯ הָאָ֨רֶץ land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer אָמַ֗רְתִּי I have promised , ’ā·mar·tî וְנָחֲל֖וּ and it shall be their inheritance wə·nā·ḥă·lū לְעֹלָֽם׃ forever . ’” lə·‘ō·lām Exodus 32:14 יְהוָ֑ה So YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּנָּ֖חֶם relented way·yin·nā·ḥem עַל־ from ‘al- הָ֣רָעָ֔ה the calamity hā·rā·‘āh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer דִּבֶּ֖ר He had threatened dib·ber לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת to bring la·‘ă·śō·wṯ לְעַמּֽוֹ׃פ on His people . lə·‘am·mōw Exodus 32:15 מֹשֶׁה֙ Then Moses mō·šeh וַיִּ֜פֶן turned way·yi·p̄en וַיֵּ֤רֶד and went down way·yê·reḏ מִן־ min- הָהָ֔ר the mountain hā·hār וּשְׁנֵ֛י with the two ū·šə·nê לֻחֹ֥ת tablets lu·ḥōṯ הָעֵדֻ֖ת of the Testimony hā·‘ê·ḏuṯ בְּיָד֑וֹ in his hands . bə·yā·ḏōw לֻחֹ֗ת . . . lu·ḥōṯ כְּתֻבִים֙ They were inscribed kə·ṯu·ḇîm מִשְּׁנֵ֣י on both miš·šə·nê עֶבְרֵיהֶ֔ם sides , ‘eḇ·rê·hem הֵ֥ם hêm כְּתֻבִֽים׃ - kə·ṯu·ḇîm מִזֶּ֥ה front miz·zeh וּמִזֶּ֖ה and back . ū·miz·zeh Exodus 32:16 וְהַ֨לֻּחֹ֔ת The tablets wə·hal·lu·ḥōṯ מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה were the work ma·‘ă·śêh אֱלֹהִ֖ים of God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm הֵ֑מָּה . . . hêm·māh וְהַמִּכְתָּ֗ב and the writing wə·ham·miḵ·tāḇ מִכְתַּ֤ב [was] the writing miḵ·taḇ אֱלֹהִים֙ of God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm ה֔וּא . . . hū חָר֖וּת engraved ḥā·rūṯ עַל־ on ‘al- הַלֻּחֹֽת׃ the tablets . hal·lu·ḥōṯ Exodus 32:17 יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ When Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁמַ֧ע heard way·yiš·ma‘ ק֥וֹל the sound qō·wl הָעָ֖ם of the people hā·‘ām בְּרֵעֹ֑ה shouting , bə·rē·ʿōh וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ he said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses , mō·šeh ק֥וֹל “ The sound qō·wl מִלְחָמָ֖ה of war mil·ḥā·māh בַּֽמַּחֲנֶה׃ [is] in the camp . ” bam·ma·ḥă·nɛh Exodus 32:18 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר But Moses replied : way·yō·mer אֵ֥ין “ It is neither ’ên קוֹל֙ the cry qō·wl עֲנ֣וֹת . . . ‘ă·nō·wṯ גְּבוּרָ֔ה of victory gə·ḇū·rāh וְאֵ֥ין nor wə·’ên ק֖וֹל the cry qō·wl עֲנ֣וֹת . . . ‘ă·nō·wṯ חֲלוּשָׁ֑ה of defeat ; ḥă·lū·šāh אָנֹכִ֖י I ’ā·nō·ḵî שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃ hear šō·mê·a‘
