ל֑וֹ - lōw וְיֹאמַ֗ר speaking wə·yō·mar וּמְלִיצָ֖ה with mockery ū·mə·lî·ṣāh חִיד֣וֹת and derision : ḥî·ḏō·wṯ ה֚וֹי ‘ Woe hō·w הַמַּרְבֶּ֣ה to him who amasses ham·mar·beh לֹּא־ what is not his lō- ל֔וֹ - lōw וּמַכְבִּ֥יד and makes himself rich ū·maḵ·bîḏ עָלָ֖יו - ‘ā·lāw עַבְטִֽיט׃ with many loans ! ‘aḇ·ṭîṭ עַד־ How ‘aḏ- מָתַ֕י long will this go on ? ’ mā·ṯay Habakkuk 2:7 הֲל֣וֹא Will not hă·lō·w נֹשְׁכֶ֔יךָ your creditors nō·šə·ḵe·ḵā פֶ֗תַע suddenly p̄e·ṯa‘ יָק֙וּמוּ֙ arise yā·qū·mū מְזַעְזְעֶ֑יךָ and those who disturb you mə·za‘·zə·‘e·ḵā וְיִקְצ֖וּ awaken ? wə·yiq·ṣū וְהָיִ֥יתָ Then you will become wə·hā·yî·ṯā לִמְשִׁסּ֖וֹת their prey lim·šis·sō·wṯ לָֽמוֹ׃ . lā·mōw Habakkuk 2:8 כִּֽי Because kī אַתָּ֤ה you ’at·tāh שַׁלּ֙וֹתָ֙ have plundered šal·lō·w·ṯā רַבִּ֔ים many rab·bîm גּוֹיִ֣ם nations , gō·w·yim כָּל־ vvv kāl- יֶ֣תֶר the remnant ye·ṯer עַמִּ֑ים of the people ‘am·mîm יְשָׁלּ֖וּךָ will plunder you — yə·šāl·lū·ḵā מִדְּמֵ֤י because of your bloodshed mid·də·mê אָדָם֙ against man ’ā·ḏām וַחֲמַס־ and your violence wa·ḥă·mas- אֶ֔רֶץ against the land , ’e·reṣ קִרְיָ֖ה the city , qir·yāh וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl יֹ֥שְׁבֵי their dwellers yō·šə·ḇê בָֽהּ׃פ . . . . ḇāh Habakkuk 2:9 ה֗וֹי Woe hō·w בֹּצֵ֛עַ to him who builds bō·ṣê·a‘ לְבֵית֑וֹ his house lə·ḇê·ṯōw רָ֖ע by unjust rā‘ בֶּ֥צַע gain , be·ṣa‘ לָשׂ֤וּם to place lā·śūm קִנּ֔וֹ his nest qin·nōw בַּמָּרוֹם֙ on high bam·mā·rō·wm לְהִנָּצֵ֖ל [and] escape lə·hin·nā·ṣêl מִכַּף־ the hand mik·kap̄- רָֽע׃ of disaster ! rā‘ Habakkuk 2:10 יָעַ֥צְתָּ You have plotted yā·‘aṣ·tā בֹּ֖שֶׁת shame bō·šeṯ לְבֵיתֶ֑ךָ for your house lə·ḇê·ṯe·ḵā קְצוֹת־ by cutting off qə·ṣō·wṯ- רַבִּ֖ים many rab·bîm עַמִּ֥ים peoples ‘am·mîm וְחוֹטֵ֥א and forfeiting wə·ḥō·w·ṭê נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ your life . nap̄·še·ḵā Habakkuk 2:11 כִּי־ For kî- אֶ֖בֶן the stones ’e·ḇen תִּזְעָ֑ק will cry out tiz·‘āq מִקִּ֣יר from the wall , miq·qîr וְכָפִ֖יס and the rafters wə·ḵā·p̄îs יַעֲנֶֽנָּה׃פ will echo it ya·‘ă·nen·nāh מֵעֵ֥ץ from the woodwork . mê·‘êṣ Habakkuk 2:12 ה֛וֹי Woe hō·w בֹּנֶ֥ה to him who builds bō·neh עִ֖יר a city ‘îr בְּדָמִ֑ים with bloodshed bə·ḏā·mîm וְכוֹנֵ֥ן and establishes wə·ḵō·w·nên קִרְיָ֖ה a town qir·yāh בְּעַוְלָֽה׃ by iniquity ! bə·‘aw·lāh Habakkuk 2:13 הֲל֣וֹא Is it not hă·lō·w הִנֵּ֔ה indeed hin·nêh מֵאֵ֖ת from mê·’êṯ יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֑וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ וְיִֽיגְע֤וּ that the labor wə·yî·ḡə·‘ū עַמִּים֙ of the people ‘am·mîm
