Habakkuk 1:11 אָ֣ז Then ’āz חָלַ֥ף they sweep by ḥā·lap̄ ר֛וּחַ like the wind rū·aḥ וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֖ר and pass on through . way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr ז֥וּ They zū וְאָשֵׁ֑ם are guilty ; wə·’ā·šêm כֹח֖וֹ their own strength ḵō·ḥōw לֵאלֹהֽוֹ׃ is their god . ” lê·lō·hōw Habakkuk 1:12 אַתָּ֣ה Are You ’at·tāh הֲל֧וֹא not hă·lō·w מִקֶּ֗דֶם from everlasting , miq·qe·ḏem יְהוָ֧ה O YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהַ֛י my God , ’ĕ·lō·hay קְדֹשִׁ֖י my Holy One ? qə·ḏō·šî לֹ֣א vvv lō נָמ֑וּת We will not die . nā·mūṯ יְהוָה֙ O YHWH , Yah·weh שַׂמְתּ֔וֹ You have appointed them śam·tōw לְמִשְׁפָּ֣ט to execute judgment ; lə·miš·pāṭ וְצ֖וּר O Rock , wə·ṣūr יְסַדְתּֽוֹ׃ You have established them yə·saḏ·tōw לְהוֹכִ֥יחַ for correction . lə·hō·w·ḵî·aḥ Habakkuk 1:13 עֵינַ֙יִם֙ Your eyes ‘ê·na·yim טְה֤וֹר are too pure ṭə·hō·wr מֵרְא֣וֹת to look upon mê·rə·’ō·wṯ רָ֔ע evil , rā‘ לֹ֣א and You cannot lō תוּכָ֑ל . . . ṯū·ḵāl וְהַבִּ֥יט tolerate wə·hab·bîṭ אֶל־ . . . ’el- עָמָ֖ל wrongdoing . ‘ā·māl לָ֤מָּה So why lām·māh תַבִּיט֙ do You tolerate ṯab·bîṭ בּֽוֹגְדִ֔ים the faithless ? bō·wḡ·ḏîm תַּחֲרִ֕ישׁ Why are You silent ta·ḥă·rîš רָשָׁ֖ע while the wicked rā·šā‘ בְּבַלַּ֥ע swallow up bə·ḇal·la‘ צַדִּ֥יק those more righteous ṣad·dîq מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ than themselves ? mim·men·nū Habakkuk 1:14 וַתַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה You have made wat·ta·‘ă·śeh אָדָ֖ם men ’ā·ḏām כִּדְגֵ֣י like the fish kiḏ·ḡê הַיָּ֑ם of the sea , hay·yām כְּרֶ֖מֶשׂ like creeping things kə·re·meś לֹא־ [that have] no lō- מֹשֵׁ֥ל ruler mō·šêl בּֽוֹ׃ . bōw Habakkuk 1:15 כֻּלֹּה֙ [The foe] pulls all of them kul·lōh הֵֽעֲלָ֔ה up hê·‘ă·lāh בְּחַכָּ֣ה with a hook ; bə·ḥak·kāh יְגֹרֵ֣הוּ he catches them yə·ḡō·rê·hū בְחֶרְמ֔וֹ in his dragnet , ḇə·ḥer·mōw וְיַאַסְפֵ֖הוּ and gathers them wə·ya·’as·p̄ê·hū בְּמִכְמַרְתּ֑וֹ in his fishing net ; bə·miḵ·mar·tōw עַל־ so ‘al- כֵּ֖ן . . . kên יִשְׂמַ֥ח he rejoices gladly yiś·maḥ וְיָגִֽיל׃ . . . . wə·yā·ḡîl Habakkuk 1:16 עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּן֙ . . . kên יְזַבֵּ֣חַ he sacrifices yə·zab·bê·aḥ לְחֶרְמ֔וֹ to his dragnet lə·ḥer·mōw וִֽיקַטֵּ֖ר and burns incense wî·qaṭ·ṭêr לְמִכְמַרְתּ֑וֹ to his fishing net , lə·miḵ·mar·tōw כִּ֤י for kî בָהֵ֙מָּה֙ by these things ḇā·hêm·māh חֶלְק֔וֹ his portion ḥel·qōw שָׁמֵ֣ן is sumptuous šā·mên וּמַאֲכָל֖וֹ and his food ū·ma·’ă·ḵā·lōw בְּרִאָֽה׃ is rich . bə·ri·’āh Habakkuk 1:17 הַ֥עַל Will he , ha·‘al כֵּ֖ן therefore , kên יָרִ֣יק empty yā·rîq חֶרְמ֑וֹ his net ḥer·mōw וְתָמִ֛יד and continue wə·ṯā·mîḏ לַהֲרֹ֥ג to slay la·hă·rōḡ גּוֹיִ֖ם nations gō·w·yim לֹ֥א without lō יַחְמֽוֹל׃ס mercy ? yaḥ·mō·wl
