מִקִּרְיָ֜ה the city miq·qir·yāh וְשָׁכַ֣נְתְּ and camp wə·šā·ḵant בַּשָּׂדֶ֗ה in the open fields . baś·śā·ḏeh וּבָ֤את You will go ū·ḇāṯ עַד־ to ‘aḏ- בָּבֶל֙ Babylon ; bā·ḇel שָׁ֣ם there šām תִּנָּצֵ֔לִי you will be rescued ; tin·nā·ṣê·lî שָׁ֚ם there m יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh יִגְאָלֵ֣ךְ will redeem you yiḡ·’ā·lêḵ מִכַּ֖ף from the hand mik·kap̄ אֹיְבָֽיִךְ׃ of your enemies ! ’ō·yə·ḇā·yiḵ Micah 4:11 וְעַתָּ֛ה But now wə·‘at·tāh רַבִּ֑ים many rab·bîm גּוֹיִ֣ם nations gō·w·yim נֶאֶסְפ֥וּ have assembled ne·’es·p̄ū עָלַ֖יִךְ against you , ‘ā·la·yiḵ הָאֹמְרִ֣ים saying , hā·’ō·mə·rîm תֶּחֱנָ֔ף “ Let her be defiled , te·ḥĕ·nāp̄ וְתַ֥חַז vvv wə·ṯa·ḥaz עֵינֵֽינוּ׃ and let us feast our eyes ‘ê·nê·nū בְּצִיּ֖וֹן on Zion . ” bə·ṣî·yō·wn Micah 4:12 וְהֵ֗מָּה But they wə·hêm·māh לֹ֤א do not lō יָֽדְעוּ֙ know yā·ḏə·‘ū מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת the thoughts maḥ·šə·ḇō·wṯ יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh וְלֹ֥א or wə·lō הֵבִ֖ינוּ understand hê·ḇî·nū עֲצָת֑וֹ His plan , ‘ă·ṣā·ṯōw כִּ֥י for kî קִבְּצָ֖ם He has gathered them qib·bə·ṣām כֶּעָמִ֥יר like sheaves ke·‘ā·mîr גֹּֽרְנָה׃ to the threshing floor . gō·rə·nāh Micah 4:13 ק֧וּמִי Rise qū·mî וָד֣וֹשִׁי and thresh , wā·ḏō·wō·šî בַת־ O Daughter ḇaṯ- צִיּ֗וֹן of Zion , ṣî·yō·wn כִּֽי־ for kî- אָשִׂ֤ים I will give you ’ā·śîm קַרְנֵ֞ךְ horns qar·nêḵ בַּרְזֶל֙ of iron bar·zel וּפַרְסֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ and hooves ū·p̄ar·sō·ṯa·yiḵ אָשִׂ֣ים . . . ’ā·śîm נְחוּשָׁ֔ה of bronze nə·ḥū·šāh וַהֲדִקּ֖וֹת to break to pieces wa·hă·ḏiq·qō·wṯ רַבִּ֑ים many rab·bîm עַמִּ֣ים peoples . ‘am·mîm וְהַחֲרַמְתִּ֤י Then you will devote wə·ha·ḥă·ram·tî בִּצְעָ֔ם their gain biṣ·‘ām לַֽיהוָה֙ to YHWH , Yah·weh וְחֵילָ֖ם their wealth wə·ḥê·lām לַאֲד֥וֹן to the Lord la·’ă·ḏō·wn כָּל־ of all kāl- הָאָֽרֶץ׃ the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ Micah 5:1 עַתָּה֙ Now , ‘at·tāh בַת־ O daughter ḇaṯ- גְּד֔וּד of troops , gə·ḏūḏ תִּתְגֹּדְדִ֣י mobilize your troops ; tiṯ·gō·ḏə·ḏî מָצ֖וֹר for a siege mā·ṣō·wr שָׂ֣ם is laid śām עָלֵ֑ינוּ against us ! ‘ā·lê·nū בַּשֵּׁ֙בֶט֙ With a rod baš·šê·ḇeṭ יַכּ֣וּ they will strike yak·kū עַֽל־ - ‘al- הַלְּחִ֔י the cheek hal·lə·ḥî אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ שֹׁפֵ֥ט of the judge šō·p̄êṭ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Micah 5:2 וְאַתָּ֞ה But you , wə·’at·tāh בֵּֽית־ vvv bêṯ- לֶ֣חֶם Bethlehem le·ḥem אֶפְרָ֗תָה Ephrathah , ’ep̄·rā·ṯāh לִֽהְיוֹת֙ who are lih·yō·wṯ צָעִיר֙ small ṣā·‘îr בְּאַלְפֵ֣י among the clans bə·’al·p̄ê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh מִמְּךָ֙ out of you mim·mə·ḵā יֵצֵ֔א will come forth yê·ṣê לִ֣י for Me lî לִֽהְי֥וֹת One to be lih·yō·wṯ מוֹשֵׁ֖ל ruler mō·wō·šêl בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל over Israel — bə·yiś·rā·’êl וּמוֹצָאֹתָ֥יו One whose origins ū·mō·w·ṣā·’ō·ṯāw
