מִקֶּ֖דֶם are of old , miq·qe·ḏem מִימֵ֥י from the days mî·mê עוֹלָֽם׃ of eternity . ‘ō·w·lām Micah 5:3 לָכֵ֣ן Therefore lā·ḵên יִתְּנֵ֔ם [Israel] will be abandoned yit·tə·nêm עַד־ until ‘aḏ- עֵ֥ת . . . ‘êṯ יוֹלֵדָ֖ה she who is in labor yō·w·lê·ḏāh יָלָ֑דָה has given birth ; yā·lā·ḏāh וְיֶ֣תֶר then the rest wə·ye·ṯer אֶחָ֔יו of His brothers ’e·ḥāw יְשׁוּב֖וּן will return yə·šū·ḇūn עַל־ to ‘al- בְּנֵ֥י the children bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Micah 5:4 וְעָמַ֗ד He will stand wə·‘ā·maḏ וְרָעָה֙ and shepherd [His flock] wə·rā·‘āh בְּעֹ֣ז in the strength bə·‘ōz יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH , Yah·weh בִּגְא֕וֹן in the majestic biḡ·’ō·wn שֵׁ֖ם name šêm יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהָ֑יו His God . ’ĕ·lō·hāw וְיָשָׁ֕בוּ And they will dwell securely , wə·yā·šā·ḇū כִּֽי־ for kî- עַתָּ֥ה then ‘at·tāh יִגְדַּ֖ל His greatness will extend yiḡ·dal עַד־ to ‘aḏ- אַפְסֵי־ the ends ’ap̄·sê- אָֽרֶץ׃ of the earth . ’ā·reṣ Micah 5:5 זֶ֖ה And He zeh וְהָיָ֥ה will be wə·hā·yāh שָׁל֑וֹם our peace šā·lō·wm כִּֽי־ when kî- אַשּׁ֣וּר׀ Assyria ’aš·šūr יָב֣וֹא invades yā·ḇō·w בְאַרְצֵ֗נוּ our land ḇə·’ar·ṣê·nū וְכִ֤י and wə·ḵî יִדְרֹךְ֙ tramples yiḏ·rōḵ בְּאַרְמְנֹתֵ֔ינוּ our citadels . bə·’ar·mə·nō·ṯê·nū וַהֲקֵמֹ֤נוּ We will raise wa·hă·qê·mō·nū עָלָיו֙ against it ‘ā·lāw שִׁבְעָ֣ה seven šiḇ·‘āh רֹעִ֔ים shepherds , rō·‘îm וּשְׁמֹנָ֖ה even eight ū·šə·mō·nāh נְסִיכֵ֥י leaders nə·sî·ḵê אָדָֽם׃ of men . ’ā·ḏām Micah 5:6 וְרָע֞וּ And they will rule wə·rā·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֶ֤רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ אַשּׁוּר֙ of Assyria ’aš·šūr בַּחֶ֔רֶב with the sword , ba·ḥe·reḇ וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- אֶ֥רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ נִמְרֹ֖ד of Nimrod nim·rōḏ בִּפְתָחֶ֑יהָ with the blade drawn . bip̄·ṯā·ḥe·hā וְהִצִּיל֙ So He will deliver us wə·hiṣ·ṣîl כִּֽי־ when kî- מֵֽאַשּׁ֔וּר Assyria mê·’aš·šūr יָב֣וֹא invades yā·ḇō·w בְאַרְצֵ֔נוּ our land ḇə·’ar·ṣê·nū וְכִ֥י and wə·ḵî יִדְרֹ֖ךְ marches yiḏ·rōḵ בִּגְבוּלֵֽנוּ׃ס into our borders . biḡ·ḇū·lê·nū Micah 5:7 שְׁאֵרִ֣ית Then the remnant šə·’ê·rîṯ יַעֲקֹ֗ב of Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ וְהָיָ֣ה׀ will be wə·hā·yāh בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ in the midst bə·qe·reḇ רַבִּ֔ים of many rab·bîm עַמִּ֣ים peoples ‘am·mîm כְּטַל֙ like dew kə·ṭal מֵאֵ֣ת from mê·’êṯ יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh כִּרְבִיבִ֖ים like showers kir·ḇî·ḇîm עֲלֵי־ on ‘ă·lê- עֵ֑שֶׂב the grass , ‘ê·śeḇ אֲשֶׁ֤ר which ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ do not lō- יְקַוֶּה֙ wait yə·qaw·weh לְאִ֔ישׁ for man lə·’îš וְלֹ֥א or wə·lō יְיַחֵ֖ל linger yə·ya·ḥêl לִבְנֵ֥י for mankind liḇ·nê אָדָֽם׃ . . . . ’ā·ḏām
