Micah 5:8 שְׁאֵרִ֨ית Then the remnant šə·’ê·rîṯ יַעֲקֹ֜ב of Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ וְהָיָה֩ will be wə·hā·yāh בַּגּוֹיִ֗ם among the nations , bag·gō·w·yim בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ in the midst bə·qe·reḇ רַבִּ֔ים of many rab·bîm עַמִּ֣ים peoples , ‘am·mîm כְּאַרְיֵה֙ like a lion kə·’ar·yêh בְּבַהֲמ֣וֹת among the beasts bə·ḇa·hă·mō·wṯ יַ֔עַר of the forest , ya·‘ar כִּכְפִ֖יר like a young lion kiḵ·p̄îr בְּעֶדְרֵי among flocks bə·ʿɛḏ·rē צֹ֑אן of sheep , ṣōn אֲשֶׁ֧ר which ’ă·šer וְרָמַ֥ס tramples wə·rā·mas וְטָרַ֖ף and tears wə·ṭā·rap̄ אִם as ’im עָבַ֛ר it passes through , ‘ā·ḇar וְאֵ֥ין with no wə·’ên מַצִּֽיל׃ one to rescue them . maṣ·ṣîl Micah 5:9 יָדְךָ֖ Your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā תָּרֹ֥ם will be lifted tā·rōm עַל־ over ‘al- צָרֶ֑יךָ your foes , ṣā·re·ḵā וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl אֹיְבֶ֖יךָ your enemies ’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃פ will be cut off . yik·kā·rê·ṯū Micah 5:10 וְהָיָ֤ה “ - wə·hā·yāh הַהוּא֙ In that ha·hū בַיּוֹם־ day , ” ḇay·yō·wm- נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י “ I will remove wə·hiḵ·rat·tî סוּסֶ֖יךָ your horses sū·se·ḵā מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ from among you miq·qir·be·ḵā וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֖י and wreck wə·ha·’ă·ḇaḏ·tî מַרְכְּבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ your chariots . mar·kə·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā Micah 5:11 וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י I will remove wə·hiḵ·rat·tî עָרֵ֣י the cities ‘ā·rê אַרְצֶ֑ךָ of your land ’ar·ṣe·ḵā וְהָרַסְתִּ֖י and tear down wə·hā·ras·tî כָּל־ all kāl- מִבְצָרֶֽיךָ׃ your strongholds . miḇ·ṣā·re·ḵā Micah 5:12 וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י I will cut wə·hiḵ·rat·tî כְשָׁפִ֖ים the sorceries ḵə·šā·p̄îm מִיָּדֶ֑ךָ from your hand , mî·yā·ḏe·ḵā יִֽהְיוּ־ and you will have yih·yū- לָֽךְ׃ lāḵ לֹ֥א no lō וּֽמְעוֹנְנִ֖ים fortune-tellers . ū·mə·‘ō·wn·nîm Micah 5:13 וְהִכְרַתִּ֧י I will also cut off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî פְסִילֶ֛יךָ the carved images p̄ə·sî·le·ḵā וּמַצֵּבוֹתֶ֖יךָ and sacred pillars ū·maṣ·ṣê·ḇō·w·ṯe·ḵā מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ from among you , miq·qir·be·ḵā וְלֹֽא־ so that you will no wə·lō- ע֖וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה bow down ṯiš·ta·ḥă·weh לְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה to the work lə·ma·‘ă·śêh יָדֶֽיךָ׃ of your own hands . yā·ḏe·ḵā Micah 5:14 וְנָתַשְׁתִּ֥י I will root out wə·nā·ṯaš·tî אֲשֵׁירֶ֖יךָ the Asherah poles ’ă·šê·re·ḵā מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ from your midst miq·qir·be·ḵā וְהִשְׁמַדְתִּ֖י and demolish wə·hiš·maḏ·tî עָרֶֽיךָ׃ your cities . ‘ā·re·ḵā Micah 5:15 וְעָשִׂ֜יתִי I will take wə·‘ā·śî·ṯî נָקָ֖ם vengeance nā·qām אֶת־ . . . ’eṯ- בְּאַ֧ף in anger bə·’ap̄ וּבְחֵמָ֛ה and wrath ū·ḇə·ḥê·māh הַגּוֹיִ֑ם upon the nations hag·gō·w·yim אֲשֶׁ֖ר that ’ă·šer לֹ֥א have not lō שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃ס obeyed Me . ” šā·mê·‘ū Micah 6:1 שִׁמְעוּ־ Hear šim·‘ū-
