תַעֲבֹד֙ if you serve ṯa·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם their gods , ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem כִּֽי־ it will surely kî- יִהְיֶ֥ה be yih·yeh לְמוֹקֵֽשׁ׃פ a snare lə·mō·w·qêš לְךָ֖ to you . ” lə·ḵā Exodus 24:1 אָמַ֜ר Then [YHWH] said ’ā·mar וְאֶל־ to wə·’el- מֹשֶׁ֨ה Moses , mō·šeh עֲלֵ֣ה “ Come up ‘ă·lêh אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH — Yah·weh אַתָּה֙ you ’at·tāh וְאַהֲרֹן֙ and Aaron , wə·’a·hă·rōn נָדָ֣ב Nadab nā·ḏāḇ וַאֲבִיה֔וּא and Abihu , wa·’ă·ḇî·hū וְשִׁבְעִ֖ים and seventy wə·šiḇ·‘îm יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel’s yiś·rā·’êl מִזִּקְנֵ֣י elders — miz·ziq·nê וְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתֶ֖ם and you are to worship wə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wî·ṯem מֵרָחֹֽק׃ at a distance . mê·rā·ḥōq Exodus 24:2 מֹשֶׁ֤ה Moses mō·šeh לְבַדּוֹ֙ alone lə·ḇad·dōw אֶל־ . . . ’el- וְנִגַּ֨שׁ shall approach wə·nig·gaš יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh וְהֵ֖ם but the others wə·hêm לֹ֣א {must} not lō יִגָּ֑שׁוּ come near . yig·gā·šū וְהָעָ֕ם And the people wə·hā·‘ām לֹ֥א may not lō יַעֲל֖וּ go up ya·‘ă·lū עִמּֽוֹ׃ with him . ” ‘im·mōw Exodus 24:3 מֹשֶׁ֗ה When Moses mō·šeh וַיָּבֹ֣א came way·yā·ḇō וַיְסַפֵּ֤ר and told way·sap·pêr לָעָם֙ the people lā·‘ām אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- דִּבְרֵ֣י the words diḇ·rê וְאֵ֖ת - wə·’êṯ כָּל־ and kāl- הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֑ים ordinances ham·miš·pā·ṭîm יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH , Yah·weh הָעָ֜ם [they] hā·‘ām כָּל־ all kāl- וַיַּ֨עַן responded way·ya·‘an אֶחָד֙ with one ’e·ḥāḏ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ . . . way·yō·mə·rū ק֤וֹל voice : qō·wl כָּל־ “ All kāl- הַדְּבָרִ֛ים the words had·də·ḇā·rîm אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּ֥ר has spoken , dib·ber נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ we will do . ” na·‘ă·śeh Exodus 24:4 מֹשֶׁ֗ה And Moses mō·šeh אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב wrote down way·yiḵ·tōḇ כָּל־ all kāl- דִּבְרֵ֣י the words diḇ·rê יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH . Yah·weh בַּבֹּ֔קֶר {Early} the next morning bab·bō·qer וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֣ם he got up way·yaš·kêm וַיִּ֥בֶן and built way·yi·ḇen מִזְבֵּ֖חַ an altar miz·bê·aḥ תַּ֣חַת at the base of ta·ḥaṯ הָהָ֑ר the mountain , hā·hār וּשְׁתֵּ֤ים along with twelve ū·šə·têm עֶשְׂרֵה֙ . . . ‘eś·rêh מַצֵּבָ֔ה pillars maṣ·ṣê·ḇāh לִשְׁנֵ֥ים for the twelve liš·nêm עָשָׂ֖ר . . . ‘ā·śār שִׁבְטֵ֥י tribes šiḇ·ṭê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Exodus 24:5 וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח Then he sent out way·yiš·laḥ אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- נַעֲרֵי֙ some young men na·‘ă·rê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl בְּנֵ֣י . . . , bə·nê וַיַּֽעֲל֖וּ and they offered way·ya·‘ă·lū עֹלֹ֑ת burnt offerings ‘ō·lōṯ וַֽיִּזְבְּח֞וּ and sacrificed way·yiz·bə·ḥū פָּרִֽים׃ young bulls pā·rîm
