Exodus 23:21 הִשָּׁ֧מֶר Pay attention hiš·šā·mer מִפָּנָ֛יו to him mip·pā·nāw וּשְׁמַ֥ע and listen ū·šə·ma‘ בְּקֹל֖וֹ to his voice ; bə·qō·lōw אַל־ do not ’al- תַּמֵּ֣ר defy tam·mêr בּ֑וֹ him , bōw כִּ֣י for kî לֹ֤א he will not lō יִשָּׂא֙ forgive yiś·śā לְפִשְׁעֲכֶ֔ם rebellion , lə·p̄iš·‘ă·ḵem כִּ֥י since kî שְׁמִ֖י My Name šə·mî בְּקִרְבּֽוֹ׃ is in him . bə·qir·bōw Exodus 23:22 כִּ֣י But kî אִם־ if ’im- שָׁמֹ֤עַ you will listen carefully šā·mō·a‘ תִּשְׁמַע֙ . . . tiš·ma‘ בְּקֹל֔וֹ to his voice bə·qō·lōw וְעָשִׂ֕יתָ and do wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā כֹּ֖ל everything kōl אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer אֲדַבֵּ֑ר I say , ’ă·ḏab·bêr אֹ֣יְבֶ֔יךָ I will be an enemy ’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā וְאָֽיַבְתִּי֙ to your enemies wə·’ā·yaḇ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְצַרְתִּ֖י and a foe wə·ṣar·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צֹרְרֶֽיךָ׃ to your foes . ṣō·rə·re·ḵā Exodus 23:23 כִּֽי־ For kî- מַלְאָכִי֮ My angel mal·’ā·ḵî יֵלֵ֣ךְ will go yê·lêḵ לְפָנֶיךָ֒ before you lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וֶהֱבִֽיאֲךָ֗ and bring you we·hĕ·ḇî·’ă·ḵā אֶל־ into ’el- הָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ the land of the Amorites , hā·’ĕ·mō·rî וְהַ֣חִתִּ֔י Hittites , wə·ha·ḥit·tî וְהַפְּרִזִּי֙ Perizzites , wə·hap·pə·riz·zî וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔י Canaanites , wə·hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî הַחִוִּ֖י Hivites , ha·ḥiw·wî וְהַיְבוּסִ֑י and Jebusites , wə·hay·ḇū·sî וְהִכְחַדְתִּֽיו׃ and I will annihilate them . wə·hiḵ·ḥaḏ·tîw Exodus 23:24 לֹֽא־ You must not lō- תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֤ה bow down ṯiš·ta·ḥă·weh לֵאלֹֽהֵיהֶם֙ to their gods lê·lō·hê·hem תָֽעָבְדֵ֔ם or serve them ṯā·‘ā·ḇə·ḏêm וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō וְלֹ֣א or wə·lō תַעֲשֶׂ֖ה follow ṯa·‘ă·śeh כְּמַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑ם their practices . kə·ma·‘ă·śê·hem כִּ֤י Instead , kî הָרֵס֙ you are to demolish them hā·rês תְּהָ֣רְסֵ֔ם . . . tə·hā·rə·sêm מַצֵּבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ and smash their sacred stones maṣ·ṣê·ḇō·ṯê·hem וְשַׁבֵּ֥ר to pieces wə·šab·bêr תְּשַׁבֵּ֖ר . . . . tə·šab·bêr Exodus 23:25 וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֗ם So you shall serve wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tem אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם your God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem וּבֵרַ֥ךְ and He will bless ū·ḇê·raḵ אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- לַחְמְךָ֖ your bread laḥ·mə·ḵā וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- מֵימֶ֑יךָ your water . mê·me·ḵā וַהֲסִרֹתִ֥י And I will take away wa·hă·si·rō·ṯî מַחֲלָ֖ה sickness ma·ḥă·lāh מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃ from among you . miq·qir·be·ḵā Exodus 23:26 לֹ֥א No lō בְּאַרְצֶ֑ךָ {woman} in your land bə·’ar·ṣe·ḵā תִהְיֶ֛ה . . . ṯih·yeh מְשַׁכֵּלָ֥ה will miscarry mə·šak·kê·lāh וַעֲקָרָ֖ה or be barren wa·‘ă·qā·rāh אֶת־ - ; ’eṯ- אֲמַלֵּֽא׃ I will fulfill ’ă·mal·lê מִסְפַּ֥ר the number mis·par יָמֶ֖יךָ of your days . yā·me·ḵā Exodus 23:27 אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲשַׁלַּ֣ח I will send ’ă·šal·laḥ
