אֵֽימָתִי֙ My terror ’ê·mā·ṯî לְפָנֶ֔יךָ ahead of you lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וְהַמֹּתִי֙ and throw into confusion wə·ham·mō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ every kāl- הָעָ֔ם nation hā·‘ām אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer תָּבֹ֖א you encounter tā·ḇō בָּהֶ֑ם . bā·hem כָּל־ I will make all kāl- אֹיְבֶ֛יךָ your enemies ’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā וְנָתַתִּ֧י turn wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֵלֶ֖יךָ and run ’ê·le·ḵā עֹֽרֶף׃ . . . . ‘ō·rep̄ Exodus 23:28 וְשָׁלַחְתִּ֥י I will send wə·šā·laḥ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַצִּרְעָ֖ה the hornet haṣ·ṣir·‘āh לְפָנֶ֑יךָ before you lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וְגֵרְשָׁ֗ה to drive wə·ḡê·rə·šāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַחִוִּ֧י the Hivites ha·ḥiw·wî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֛י and Canaanites hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַחִתִּ֖י and Hittites ha·ḥit·tî מִלְּפָנֶֽיךָ׃ out of your way . mil·lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā Exodus 23:29 לֹ֧א I will not lō אֲגָרְשֶׁ֛נּוּ drive them out ’ă·ḡā·rə·šen·nū מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ before you mip·pā·ne·ḵā אֶחָ֑ת in a single ’e·ḥāṯ בְּשָׁנָ֣ה year ; bə·šā·nāh פֶּן־ otherwise pen- הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ the land hā·’ā·reṣ תִּהְיֶ֤ה would become tih·yeh שְׁמָמָ֔ה desolate šə·mā·māh הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ and wild haś·śā·ḏeh חַיַּ֥ת animals ḥay·yaṯ וְרַבָּ֥ה would multiply wə·rab·bāh עָלֶ֖יךָ against you . ‘ā·le·ḵā Exodus 23:30 מְעַ֥ט Little mə·‘aṭ מְעַ֛ט by little mə·‘aṭ אֲגָרְשֶׁ֖נּוּ I will drive them out ’ă·ḡā·rə·šen·nū מִפָּנֶ֑יךָ ahead of you , mip·pā·ne·ḵā עַ֚ד until ‘aḏ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer תִּפְרֶ֔ה you become fruitful tip̄·reh וְנָחַלְתָּ֖ and possess wə·nā·ḥal·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָֽרֶץ׃ the land . hā·’ā·reṣ Exodus 23:31 וְשַׁתִּ֣י And I will establish wə·šat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- גְּבֻלְךָ֗ your borders gə·ḇul·ḵā סוּף֙ from the Red sūp̄ מִיַּם־ Sea mî·yam- וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- יָ֣ם the Sea yām פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים of the Philistines , pə·liš·tîm וּמִמִּדְבָּ֖ר and from the desert ū·mim·miḏ·bār עַד־ to ‘aḏ- הַנָּהָ֑ר the [Euphrates] . han·nā·hār כִּ֣י׀ For kî אֶתֵּ֣ן I will deliver ’et·tên יֹשְׁבֵ֣י the inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê הָאָ֔רֶץ . . . hā·’ā·reṣ בְּיֶדְכֶ֗ם into your hand , bə·yeḏ·ḵem אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ וְגֵרַשְׁתָּ֖מוֹ and you will drive them out wə·ḡê·raš·tā·mōw מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃ before you . mip·pā·ne·ḵā Exodus 23:32 תִכְרֹ֥ת You shall make ṯiḵ·rōṯ לֹֽא־ no lō- בְּרִֽית׃ covenant bə·rîṯ לָהֶ֛ם with them lā·hem וְלֵאלֹֽהֵיהֶ֖ם or with their gods . wə·lê·lō·hê·hem Exodus 23:33 לֹ֤א They must not lō יֵשְׁבוּ֙ remain yê·šə·ḇū בְּאַרְצְךָ֔ in your land , bə·’ar·ṣə·ḵā פֶּן־ lest pen- יַחֲטִ֥יאוּ they cause you to sin ya·ḥă·ṭî·’ū אֹתְךָ֖ - ’ō·ṯə·ḵā לִ֑י against Me . lî כִּ֤י For kî
