Exodus 23:8 לֹ֣א Do not lō תִקָּ֑ח accept ṯiq·qāḥ וְשֹׁ֖חַד a bribe , wə·šō·ḥaḏ כִּ֤י for kî הַשֹּׁ֙חַד֙ a bribe haš·šō·ḥaḏ יְעַוֵּ֣ר blinds yə·‘aw·wêr פִּקְחִ֔ים those who see piq·ḥîm וִֽיסַלֵּ֖ף and twists wî·sal·lêp̄ דִּבְרֵ֥י the words diḇ·rê צַדִּיקִֽים׃ of the righteous . ṣad·dî·qîm Exodus 23:9 לֹ֣א Do not lō תִלְחָ֑ץ oppress ṯil·ḥāṣ וְגֵ֖ר a foreign resident , wə·ḡêr וְאַתֶּ֗ם since you wə·’at·tem יְדַעְתֶּם֙ yourselves know yə·ḏa‘·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נֶ֣פֶשׁ - ne·p̄eš הַגֵּ֔ר how it feels to be foreigners ; hag·gêr כִּֽי־ for kî- הֱיִיתֶ֖ם you were hĕ·yî·ṯem גֵרִ֥ים foreigners ḡê·rîm בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt . miṣ·rā·yim Exodus 23:10 וְשֵׁ֥שׁ For six wə·šêš שָׁנִ֖ים years šā·nîm תִּזְרַ֣ע you are to sow tiz·ra‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אַרְצֶ֑ךָ your land ’ar·ṣe·ḵā וְאָסַפְתָּ֖ and gather wə·’ā·sap̄·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- תְּבוּאָתָֽהּ׃ its produce , tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯāh Exodus 23:11 וְהַשְּׁבִיעִ֞ת but in the seventh [year] wə·haš·šə·ḇî·‘iṯ תִּשְׁמְטֶ֣נָּה you must let it rest tiš·mə·ṭen·nāh וּנְטַשְׁתָּ֗הּ and lie fallow , ū·nə·ṭaš·tāh אֶבְיֹנֵ֣י so that the poor ’eḇ·yō·nê עַמֶּ֔ךָ among your people ‘am·me·ḵā וְאָֽכְלוּ֙ may eat wə·’ā·ḵə·lū הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה from the field haś·śā·ḏeh חַיַּ֣ת and the wild animals ḥay·yaṯ תֹּאכַ֖ל may consume tō·ḵal וְיִתְרָ֕ם what they leave . wə·yiṯ·rām תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה Do ta·‘ă·śeh כֵּֽן־ the same kên- לְכַרְמְךָ֖ with your vineyard lə·ḵar·mə·ḵā לְזֵיתֶֽךָ׃ and olive grove . lə·zê·ṯe·ḵā Exodus 23:12 שֵׁ֤שֶׁת For six šê·šeṯ יָמִים֙ days yā·mîm תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה you are to do ta·‘ă·śeh מַעֲשֶׂ֔יךָ your work , ma·‘ă·śe·ḵā הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖י but on the seventh haš·šə·ḇî·‘î וּבַיּ֥וֹם day ū·ḇay·yō·wm תִּשְׁבֹּ֑ת you must cease , tiš·bōṯ לְמַ֣עַן so that lə·ma·‘an שֽׁוֹרְךָ֙ your ox šō·wr·ḵā וַחֲמֹרֶ֔ךָ and your donkey wa·ḥă·mō·re·ḵā יָנ֗וּחַ may rest yā·nū·aḥ בֶּן־ and the son ben- אֲמָתְךָ֖ of your maidservant ’ă·mā·ṯə·ḵā וְיִנָּפֵ֥שׁ may be refreshed , wə·yin·nā·p̄êš וְהַגֵּֽר׃ as well as the foreign resident . wə·hag·gêr Exodus 23:13 תִּשָּׁמֵ֑רוּ Pay close attention tiš·šā·mê·rū וּבְכֹ֛ל to everything ū·ḇə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אָמַ֥רְתִּי I have said ’ā·mar·tî אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם to you . ’ă·lê·ḵem לֹ֣א You must not lō תַזְכִּ֔ירוּ invoke ṯaz·kî·rū וְשֵׁ֨ם the names wə·šêm אֲחֵרִים֙ of other ’ă·ḥê·rîm אֱלֹהִ֤ים gods ; ’ĕ·lō·hîm לֹ֥א they must not lō יִשָּׁמַ֖ע be heard yiš·šā·ma‘ עַל־ on ‘al- פִּֽיךָ׃ your lips . pî·ḵā Exodus 23:14 שָׁלֹ֣שׁ Three šā·lōš רְגָלִ֔ים times rə·ḡā·lîm בַּשָּׁנָֽה׃ a year baš·šā·nāh תָּחֹ֥ג you are to celebrate a feast tā·ḥōḡ לִ֖י to Me . lî
