Amos 7:11 כִּי־ for kî- כֹה֙ this is what ḵōh עָמ֔וֹס Amos ‘ā·mō·ws אָמַ֣ר has said : ’ā·mar יָרָבְעָ֑ם ‘ Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām יָמ֣וּת will die yā·mūṯ בַּחֶ֖רֶב by the sword , ba·ḥe·reḇ וְיִ֨שְׂרָאֵ֔ל and Israel wə·yiś·rā·’êl גָּלֹ֥ה will surely gā·lōh יִגְלֶ֖ה go into exile , yiḡ·leh מֵעַ֥ל away from mê·‘al אַדְמָתֽוֹ׃ס their homeland . ’” ’aḏ·mā·ṯōw Amos 7:12 אֲמַצְיָה֙ And Amaziah ’ă·maṣ·yāh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- עָמ֔וֹס Amos , ‘ā·mō·ws לֵ֥ךְ “ Go away , lêḵ חֹזֶ֕ה you seer ! ḥō·zeh בְּרַח־ Flee bə·raḥ- לְךָ֖ lə·ḵā אֶל־ to ’el- אֶ֣רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah ; yə·hū·ḏāh וֶאֱכָל־ earn your bread we·’ĕ·ḵāl- לֶ֔חֶם . . . le·ḥem וְשָׁ֖ם there wə·šām תִּנָּבֵֽא׃ and do your prophesying tin·nā·ḇê שָׁ֣ם there . šām Amos 7:13 לֹֽא־ But never lō- לְהִנָּבֵ֑א prophesy lə·hin·nā·ḇê וּבֵֽית־ vvv ū·ḇêṯ- אֵ֔ל at Bethel ’êl תוֹסִ֥יף again ṯō·w·sîp̄ ע֖וֹד . . . , ‘ō·wḏ כִּ֤י because kî ה֔וּא it [is] hū מִקְדַּשׁ־ the sanctuary miq·daš- מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ of the king me·leḵ וּבֵ֥ית and the temple ū·ḇêṯ מַמְלָכָ֖ה of the kingdom mam·lā·ḵāh הֽוּא׃ס . ” hū Amos 7:14 אָנֹ֔כִי “ I ’ā·nō·ḵî וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō לֹא־ was not lō- נָבִ֣יא a prophet , ” nā·ḇî עָמוֹס֙ Amos ‘ā·mō·ws וַיֹּ֣אמֶר way·yō·mer אֶל־ ’el- וַיַּ֤עַן replied way·ya·‘an אֲמַצְיָ֔ה - , ’ă·maṣ·yāh בֶן־ “ [nor was I] the son ḇen- נָבִ֖יא of a prophet ; nā·ḇî כִּֽי־ rather , kî- אָנֹ֑כִי I ’ā·nō·ḵî בוֹקֵ֥ר was a herdsman ḇō·w·qêr אָנֹ֖כִי [and] ’ā·nō·ḵî וּבוֹלֵ֥ס a tender ū·ḇō·w·lês שִׁקְמִֽים׃ of sycamore-fig trees . šiq·mîm Amos 7:15 יְהוָ֔ה But YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּקָּחֵ֣נִי took me way·yiq·qā·ḥê·nî מֵאַחֲרֵ֖י from following mê·’a·ḥă·rê הַצֹּ֑אן the flock haṣ·ṣōn וַיֹּ֤אמֶר and said way·yō·mer אֵלַי֙ to me , ’ê·lay יְהוָ֔ה . . . Yah·weh לֵ֥ךְ ‘ Go , lêḵ הִנָּבֵ֖א prophesy hin·nā·ḇê אֶל־ to ’el- עַמִּ֥י My people ‘am·mî יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . ’ yiś·rā·’êl Amos 7:16 וְעַתָּ֖ה Now, therefore , wə·‘at·tāh שְׁמַ֣ע hear šə·ma‘ דְּבַר־ the word də·ḇar- יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH . Yah·weh אַתָּ֣ה You ’at·tāh אֹמֵ֗ר say : ’ō·mêr לֹ֤א ‘ Do not lō תִנָּבֵא֙ prophesy ṯin·nā·ḇê עַל־ against ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel ; yiś·rā·’êl וְלֹ֥א do not wə·lō תַטִּ֖יף preach ṯaṭ·ṭîp̄ עַל־ against ‘al- בֵּ֥ית the house bêṯ יִשְׂחָֽק׃ of Isaac . ’ yiś·ḥāq
