יַעֲקֹ֑ב will Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ יָק֖וּם survive , yā·qūm כִּ֥י since kî הֽוּא׃ he hū קָטֹ֖ן is so small ? ” qā·ṭōn Amos 7:6 יְהוָ֖ה So YHWH Yah·weh נִחַ֥ם relented ni·ḥam עַל־ from ‘al- זֹ֑את this [plan] . zōṯ הִיא֙ “ It hî לֹ֣א will not lō תִֽהְיֶ֔ה happen ṯih·yeh גַּם־ either , ” gam- אָמַ֖ר said ’ā·mar אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִֽה׃ס YHWH . Yah·weh Amos 7:7 כֹּ֣ה This is what kōh הִרְאַ֔נִי He showed me : hir·’a·nî וְהִנֵּ֧ה Behold , wə·hin·nêh אֲדֹנָ֛י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy נִצָּ֖ב was standing niṣ·ṣāḇ עַל־ by ‘al- חוֹמַ֣ת a wall ḥō·w·maṯ אֲנָ֑ךְ true to plumb , ’ă·nāḵ אֲנָֽךְ׃ with a plumb line ’ă·nāḵ וּבְיָד֖וֹ in His hand . ū·ḇə·yā·ḏōw Amos 7:8 עָמ֔וֹס “ Amos , ‘ā·mō·ws מָֽה־ what māh- אַתָּ֤ה do you ’at·tāh רֹאֶה֙ see ? ” rō·’eh וַיֹּ֨אמֶר asked way·yō·mer יְהוָ֜ה YHWH . Yah·weh אֵלַ֗י . . . ’ê·lay אֲנָ֑ךְ “ A plumb line , ” ’ă·nāḵ וָאֹמַ֖ר I replied . wā·’ō·mar הִנְנִ֨י “ Behold , ” hin·nî וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֲדֹנָ֗י the Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy שָׂ֤ם “ I am setting śām אֲנָךְ֙ a plumb line ’ă·nāḵ בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ among bə·qe·reḇ עַמִּ֣י My people ‘am·mî יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel ; yiś·rā·’êl לֹֽא־ I will no lō- אוֹסִ֥יף longer ’ō·w·sîp̄ ע֖וֹד . . . ‘ō·wḏ עֲב֥וֹר spare ‘ă·ḇō·wr לֽוֹ׃ them : lōw Amos 7:9 בָּמ֣וֹת The high places bā·mō·wṯ יִשְׂחָ֔ק of Isaac yiś·ḥāq וְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙ will be deserted , wə·nā·šam·mū וּמִקְדְּשֵׁ֥י and the sanctuaries ū·miq·də·šê יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl יֶחֱרָ֑בוּ will be laid waste ; ye·ḥĕ·rā·ḇū וְקַמְתִּ֛י and I will rise up wə·qam·tî עַל־ against ‘al- בֵּ֥ית the house bêṯ יָרָבְעָ֖ם of Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām בֶּחָֽרֶב׃פ with My sword . ” be·ḥā·reḇ Amos 7:10 אֲמַצְיָה֙ Then Amaziah ’ă·maṣ·yāh כֹּהֵ֣ן the priest kō·hên בֵּֽית־ vvv bêṯ- אֵ֔ל of Bethel ’êl וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח sent way·yiš·laḥ אֶל־ word to ’el- יָרָבְעָ֥ם Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl לֵאמֹ֑ר saying , lê·mōr עָמ֗וֹס “ Amos ‘ā·mō·ws קָשַׁ֨ר has conspired qā·šar עָלֶ֜יךָ against you ‘ā·le·ḵā בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ in the midst bə·qe·reḇ בֵּ֣ית of the house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl הָאָ֔רֶץ The land hā·’ā·reṣ לֹא־ cannot lō- תוּכַ֣ל . . . ṯū·ḵal לְהָכִ֖יל bear lə·hā·ḵîl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- דְּבָרָֽיו׃ his words , də·ḇā·rāw
