Joel 2:7 יְרֻצ֔וּן They charge yə·ru·ṣūn כְּגִבּוֹרִ֣ים like mighty men ; kə·ḡib·bō·w·rîm יַעֲל֣וּ they scale ya·‘ă·lū חוֹמָ֑ה the walls ḥō·w·māh כְּאַנְשֵׁ֥י like men kə·’an·šê מִלְחָמָ֖ה of war . mil·ḥā·māh וְאִ֤ישׁ Each one wə·’îš יֵֽלֵכ֔וּן marches yê·lê·ḵūn בִּדְרָכָיו֙ in formation , biḏ·rā·ḵāw וְלֹ֥א not wə·lō יְעַבְּט֖וּן swerving yə·‘ab·bə·ṭūn אֹרְחוֹתָֽם׃ from the course . ’ō·rə·ḥō·w·ṯām Joel 2:8 לֹ֣א They do not lō יִדְחָק֔וּן jostle yiḏ·ḥā·qūn וְאִ֤ישׁ one wə·’îš אָחִיו֙ another ; ’ā·ḥîw גֶּ֥בֶר each ge·ḇer יֵֽלֵכ֑וּן proceeds yê·lê·ḵūn וּבְעַ֥ד . . . ū·ḇə·‘aḏ בִּמְסִלָּת֖וֹ in his path . bim·sil·lā·ṯōw יִפֹּ֖לוּ They burst through yip·pō·lū הַשֶּׁ֛לַח the defenses , haš·še·laḥ לֹ֥א never lō יִבְצָֽעוּ׃ breaking ranks . yiḇ·ṣā·‘ū Joel 2:9 יָשֹׁ֗קּוּ They storm yā·šōq·qū בָּעִ֣יר the city ; bā·‘îr יְרֻצ֔וּן they run yə·ru·ṣūn בַּֽחוֹמָה֙ along the wall ; ba·ḥō·w·māh יַעֲל֑וּ they climb ya·‘ă·lū בַּבָּתִּ֖ים into houses , bab·bāt·tîm יָבֹ֖אוּ entering yā·ḇō·’ū בְּעַ֧ד through bə·‘aḏ הַחַלּוֹנִ֛ים windows ha·ḥal·lō·w·nîm כַּגַּנָּֽב׃ like thieves . kag·gan·nāḇ Joel 2:10 לְפָנָיו֙ Before them lə·p̄ā·nāw אֶ֔רֶץ the earth ’e·reṣ רָ֣גְזָה quakes ; rā·ḡə·zāh שָׁמָ֑יִם the heavens šā·mā·yim רָעֲשׁ֖וּ tremble . rā·‘ă·šū שֶׁ֤מֶשׁ The sun še·meš וְיָרֵ֙חַ֙ and moon wə·yā·rê·aḥ קָדָ֔רוּ grow dark , qā·ḏā·rū וְכוֹכָבִ֖ים and the stars wə·ḵō·w·ḵā·ḇîm אָסְפ֥וּ lose ’ā·sə·p̄ū נָגְהָֽם׃ their brightness . nā·ḡə·hām Joel 2:11 וַֽיהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh נָתַ֤ן raises nā·ṯan קוֹלוֹ֙ His voice qō·w·lōw לִפְנֵ֣י in the presence lip̄·nê חֵיל֔וֹ of His army . ḥê·lōw כִּ֣י Indeed , kî מַחֲנֵ֔הוּ His camp ma·ḥă·nê·hū מְאֹד֙ is very mə·’ōḏ רַ֤ב large , raḇ כִּ֥י for kî עָצ֖וּם mighty [are] ‘ā·ṣūm עֹשֵׂ֣ה those who obey ‘ō·śêh דְבָר֑וֹ His command . ḏə·ḇā·rōw כִּֽי־ For kî- יוֹם־ the Day yō·wm- יְהוָ֛ה of YHWH Yah·weh גָד֧וֹל [is] great ḡā·ḏō·wl מְאֹ֖ד and very mə·’ōḏ וְנוֹרָ֥א dreadful . wə·nō·w·rā וּמִ֥י Who ū·mî יְכִילֶֽנּוּ׃ can endure it ? yə·ḵî·len·nū Joel 2:12 וְגַם־ “ Yet even wə·ḡam- עַתָּה֙ now , ” ‘at·tāh נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh שֻׁ֥בוּ “ return šu·ḇū עָדַ֖י to Me ‘ā·ḏay בְּכָל־ with all bə·ḵāl לְבַבְכֶ֑ם your heart , lə·ḇaḇ·ḵem וּבְצ֥וֹם with fasting , ū·ḇə·ṣō·wm וּבְבְכִ֖י weeping , ū·ḇə·ḇə·ḵī וּבְמִסְפֵּֽד׃ and mourning . ” ū·ḇə·mis·pêḏ Joel 2:13 וְקִרְע֤וּ So rend wə·qir·‘ū לְבַבְכֶם֙ your hearts lə·ḇaḇ·ḵem וְאַל־ and not wə·’al-
