לְעַמּ֗וֹ His people : lə·‘am·mōw הִנְנִ֨י “ Behold , hin·nî שֹׁלֵ֤חַ I will send šō·lê·aḥ לָכֶם֙ you lā·ḵem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַדָּגָן֙ grain , had·dā·ḡān וְהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ new wine , wə·hat·tî·rō·wōš וְהַיִּצְהָ֔ר and oil , wə·hay·yiṣ·hār אֹת֑וֹ and by them ’ō·ṯōw וּשְׂבַעְתֶּ֖ם you will be satisfied . ū·śə·ḇa‘·tem וְלֹא־ I will never again wə·lō- ע֛וֹד . . . ‘ō·wḏ אֶתֵּ֨ן make you ’et·tên אֶתְכֶ֥ם - ’eṯ·ḵem חֶרְפָּ֖ה a reproach ḥer·pāh בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ among the nations . bag·gō·w·yim Joel 2:20 וְֽאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַצְּפוֹנִ֞י The northern [army] haṣ·ṣə·p̄ō·w·nî אַרְחִ֣יק I will drive away ’ar·ḥîq מֵעֲלֵיכֶ֗ם from you , mê·‘ă·lê·ḵem וְהִדַּחְתִּיו֮ banishing it wə·hid·daḥ·tîw אֶל־ to ’el- צִיָּ֣ה a barren ṣî·yāh וּשְׁמָמָה֒ and desolate ū·šə·mā·māh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֶ֣רֶץ land , ’e·reṣ פָּנָ֗יו its front pā·nāw אֶל־ ranks ’el- הַקַּדְמֹנִ֔י into the Eastern haq·qaḏ·mō·nî הַיָּם֙ Sea , hay·yām וְסֹפ֖וֹ and its rear guard wə·sō·p̄ōw אֶל־ into ’el- הָאַֽחֲר֑וֹן the Western hā·’a·ḥă·rō·wn הַיָּ֣ם Sea . hay·yām בָאְשׁ֗וֹ And its stench ḇā·’ə·šōw וְעָלָ֣ה will rise ; wə·‘ā·lāh צַחֲנָת֔וֹ its foul odor ṣa·ḥă·nā·ṯōw וְתַ֙עַל֙ will ascend . wə·ṯa·‘al כִּ֥י For kî לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ He has done la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הִגְדִּ֖יל great things . hiḡ·dîl Joel 2:21 אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּֽירְאִ֖י be afraid , tî·rə·’î אֲדָמָ֑ה O land ; ’ă·ḏā·māh גִּ֣ילִי rejoice gî·lî וּשְׂמָ֔חִי and be glad , ū·śə·mā·ḥî כִּֽי־ for kî- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ has done la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הִגְדִּ֥יל great things . hiḡ·dîl Joel 2:22 אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּֽירְאוּ֙ be afraid , tî·rə·’ū בַּהֲמ֣וֹת O beasts ba·hă·mō·wṯ שָׂדַ֔י of the field , śā·ḏay כִּ֥י for kî מִדְבָּ֑ר the open miḏ·bār נְא֣וֹת pastures nə·’ō·wṯ דָשְׁא֖וּ have turned green , ḏā·šə·’ū כִּֽי־ kî- עֵץ֙ the trees ‘êṣ נָשָׂ֣א bear nā·śā פִרְי֔וֹ their fruit , p̄ir·yōw תְּאֵנָ֥ה and the fig tree tə·’ê·nāh וָגֶ֖פֶן and vine wā·ḡe·p̄en נָתְנ֥וּ yield nā·ṯə·nū חֵילָֽם׃ their best . ḥê·lām Joel 2:23 גִּ֤ילוּ Be glad , gî·lū וּבְנֵ֣י O children ū·ḇə·nê צִיּ֗וֹן of Zion , ṣî·yō·wn וְשִׂמְחוּ֙ and rejoice wə·śim·ḥū בַּיהוָ֣ה in YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם your God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem כִּֽי־ for kî- נָתַ֥ן He has given nā·ṯan לָכֶ֛ם you lā·ḵem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמּוֹרֶ֖ה the autumn rains ham·mō·w·reh לִצְדָקָ֑ה for your vindication . liṣ·ḏā·qāh וַיּ֣וֹרֶד He sends way·yō·w·reḏ לָכֶ֗ם you lā·ḵem גֶּ֛שֶׁם showers , ge·šem מוֹרֶ֥ה both autumn mō·w·reh וּמַלְק֖וֹשׁ and spring rains , ū·mal·qō·wōš בָּרִאשֽׁוֹן׃ as before . bā·ri·šō·wn Joel 2:24 הַגֳּרָנ֖וֹת The threshing floors hag·go·rā·nō·wṯ
