מֵאֶ֣רֶץ ever since the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt ; miṣ·rā·yim תֵדָ֔ע you know ṯê·ḏā‘ לֹ֣א no lō וֵאלֹהִ֤ים God wê·lō·hîm זֽוּלָתִי֙ but Me , zū·lā·ṯî אַ֖יִן for [there is] no ’a·yin וּמוֹשִׁ֥יעַ Savior ū·mō·wō·šî·a‘ בִּלְתִּֽי׃ besides Me . bil·tî Hosea 13:5 אֲנִ֥י I ’ă·nî יְדַעְתִּ֖יךָ knew you yə·ḏa‘·tî·ḵā בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר in the wilderness , bam·miḏ·bār בְּאֶ֖רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ תַּלְאֻבֽוֹת׃ of drought . tal·’u·ḇō·wṯ Hosea 13:6 כְּמַרְעִיתָם֙ When they had pasture , kə·mar·‘î·ṯām וַיִּשְׂבָּ֔עוּ they became satisfied ; way·yiś·bā·‘ū שָׂבְע֖וּ when they were satisfied , śā·ḇə·‘ū לִבָּ֑ם their hearts lib·bām וַיָּ֣רָם became proud , way·yā·rām עַל־ and as a result ‘al- כֵּ֖ן . . . kên שְׁכֵחֽוּנִי׃ they forgot Me . šə·ḵê·ḥū·nî Hosea 13:7 כְּמוֹ־ So like kə·mōw- שָׁ֑חַל a lion šā·ḥal וָאֱהִ֥י I will pounce wā·’ĕ·hî לָהֶ֖ם on them ; lā·hem כְּנָמֵ֖ר like a leopard kə·nā·mêr אָשֽׁוּר׃ I will lurk ’ā·šūr עַל־ by ‘al- דֶּ֥רֶךְ the path . de·reḵ Hosea 13:8 כְּדֹ֣ב Like a bear kə·ḏōḇ שַׁכּ֔וּל robbed of her cubs šak·kūl אֶפְגְּשֵׁם֙ I will attack them , ’ep̄·gə·šêm וְאֶקְרַ֖ע and I will tear wə·’eq·ra‘ סְג֣וֹר open their chests sə·ḡō·wr לִבָּ֑ם . . . . lib·bām שָׁם֙ There šām וְאֹכְלֵ֥ם I will devour them wə·’ō·ḵə·lêm כְּלָבִ֔יא like a lion , kə·lā·ḇî הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה like a wild haś·śā·ḏeh חַיַּ֥ת beast ḥay·yaṯ תְּבַקְּעֵֽם׃ would tear them apart . tə·ḇaq·qə·‘êm Hosea 13:9 שִֽׁחֶתְךָ֥ You are destroyed , ši·ḥeṯ·ḵā יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל O Israel , yiś·rā·’êl כִּֽי־ because you are kî- בִ֥י against Me — ḇî בְעֶזְרֶֽךָ׃ against your helper . ḇə·‘ez·re·ḵā Hosea 13:10 אֱהִ֤י Where is ’ĕ·hî מַלְכְּךָ֙ your king mal·kə·ḵā אֵפ֔וֹא now ’ê·p̄ō·w וְיוֹשִֽׁיעֲךָ֖ to save you wə·yō·wō·šî·‘ă·ḵā בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl עָרֶ֑יךָ your cities , ‘ā·re·ḵā וְשֹׁ֣פְטֶ֔יךָ and the rulers wə·šō·p̄ə·ṭe·ḵā אֲשֶׁ֣ר to whom ’ă·šer אָמַ֔רְתָּ you said , ’ā·mar·tā תְּנָה־ “ Give tə·nāh- לִּ֖י me lî מֶ֥לֶךְ a king me·leḵ וְשָׂרִֽים׃ and princes ”? wə·śā·rîm Hosea 13:11 בְּאַפִּ֔י So in My anger bə·’ap·pî אֶֽתֶּן־ I gave ’et·ten- לְךָ֥ you lə·ḵā מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ a king , me·leḵ בְּעֶבְרָתִֽי׃ס and in My wrath bə·‘eḇ·rā·ṯî וְאֶקַּ֖ח I took [him] away . wə·’eq·qaḥ Hosea 13:12 עֲוֺ֣ן The iniquity ‘ă·wōn אֶפְרָ֔יִם of Ephraim ’ep̄·rā·yim צָרוּר֙ [is] bound up ; ṣā·rūr חַטָּאתֽוֹ׃ his sin ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯōw צְפוּנָ֖ה [is] stored up . ṣə·p̄ū·nāh Hosea 13:13 יֽוֹלֵדָ֖ה Labor yō·w·lê·ḏāh חֶבְלֵ֥י pains ḥeḇ·lê
