יָבֹ֣אוּ come yā·ḇō·’ū ל֑וֹ upon him , lōw הוּא־ but he is hū- לֹ֣א vvv lō חָכָ֔ם an unwise ḥā·ḵām בֵן֙ son . ḇên כִּֽי־ When kî- עֵ֥ת the time arrives , ‘êṯ בָּנִֽים׃ he bā·nîm לֹֽא־ fails lō- יַעֲמֹ֖ד to present himself ya·‘ă·mōḏ בְּמִשְׁבַּ֥ר at the opening of the womb . bə·miš·bar Hosea 13:14 אֶפְדֵּ֔ם I will ransom them ’ep̄·dêm מִיַּ֤ד from the power mî·yaḏ שְׁאוֹל֙ of Sheol ; šə·’ō·wl אֶגְאָלֵ֑ם I will redeem them ’eḡ·’ā·lêm מִמָּ֖וֶת from Death . mim·mā·weṯ אֱהִ֨י Where , ’ĕ·hî מָ֗וֶת O Death , mā·weṯ דְבָרֶיךָ֜ are your plagues ? ḏə·ḇå̄·rɛ·ḵå̄ אֱהִ֤י Where , ’ĕ·hî שְׁא֔וֹל O Sheol , šə·’ō·wl קָֽטָבְךָ֙ is your sting ? qā·ṭā·ḇə·ḵā נֹ֖חַם Compassion nō·ḥam יִסָּתֵ֥ר is hidden yis·sā·ṯêr מֵעֵינָֽי׃ from My eyes . mê·‘ê·nāy Hosea 13:15 כִּ֣י Although kî ה֔וּא he hū יַפְרִ֑יא flourishes yap̄·rî בֵּ֥ן among bēn אַחִ֖ים his brothers , ’a·ḥîm קָדִים֩ an east wind qā·ḏîm יָב֣וֹא will come — yā·ḇō·w ר֨וּחַ a wind rū·aḥ יְהוָ֜ה from YHWH Yah·weh עֹלֶ֗ה rising up ‘ō·leh מִמִּדְבָּ֣ר from the desert . mim·miḏ·bār מְקוֹרוֹ֙ His fountain mə·qō·w·rōw וְיֵב֤וֹשׁ will fail , wə·yê·ḇō·wōš מַעְיָנ֔וֹ and his spring ma‘·yā·nōw וְיֶחֱרַ֣ב will run dry . wə·ye·ḥĕ·raḇ ה֣וּא The wind hū יִשְׁסֶ֔ה will plunder yiš·seh אוֹצַ֖ר his treasury ’ō·w·ṣar כָּל־ of every kāl- חֶמְדָּֽה׃ precious ḥem·dāh כְּלִ֥י article . kə·lî Hosea 13:16 שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן Samaria šō·mə·rō·wn תֶּאְשַׁם֙ will bear her guilt te’·šam כִּ֥י because kî מָרְתָ֖ה she has rebelled mā·rə·ṯāh בֵּֽאלֹהֶ֑יהָ against her God . bê·lō·he·hā יִפֹּ֔לוּ They will fall yip·pō·lū בַּחֶ֣רֶב by the sword ; ba·ḥe·reḇ עֹלְלֵיהֶ֣ם their little ones ‘ō·lə·lê·hem יְרֻטָּ֔שׁוּ will be dashed to pieces , yə·ruṭ·ṭā·šū וְהָרִיּוֹתָ֖יו and their pregnant wə·hā·rî·yō·w·ṯāw יְבֻקָּֽעוּ׃פ women ripped open . yə·ḇuq·qā·‘ū Hosea 14:1 שׁ֚וּבָה Return , ū·ḇāh יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל O Israel , yiś·rā·’êl עַ֖ד to ‘aḏ יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God , ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā כִּ֥י for kî כָשַׁ֖לְתָּ you have stumbled ḵā·šal·tā בַּעֲוֺנֶֽךָ׃ by your iniquity . ba·‘ă·wō·ne·ḵā Hosea 14:2 קְח֤וּ Bring qə·ḥū עִמָּכֶם֙ your ‘im·mā·ḵem דְּבָרִ֔ים confessions də·ḇā·rîm וְשׁ֖וּבוּ and return wə·šū·ḇū אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH . Yah·weh אִמְר֣וּ Say ’im·rū אֵלָ֗יו to Him : ’ê·lāw תִּשָּׂ֤א “ Take away tiś·śā כָּל־ all kāl- עָוֺן֙ our iniquity ‘ā·wōn וְקַח־ and receive wə·qaḥ- ט֔וֹב [us] graciously , ṭō·wḇ וּֽנְשַׁלְּמָ֥ה that we may present ū·nə·šal·lə·māh פָרִ֖ים the fruit p̄ā·rîm שְׂפָתֵֽינוּ׃ of our lips . śə·p̄ā·ṯê·nū
