לָד֔וּשׁ to thresh ; lā·ḏūš וַאֲנִ֣י but I wa·’ă·nî עָבַ֔רְתִּי will place a yoke ‘ā·ḇar·tî עַל־ on ‘al- ט֖וּב her fair ṭūḇ צַוָּארָ֑הּ neck . ṣaw·wā·rāh אַרְכִּ֤יב I will harness ’ar·kîḇ אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ Ephraim , ’ep̄·ra·yim יְהוּדָ֔ה Judah yə·hū·ḏāh יַחֲר֣וֹשׁ will plow , ya·ḥă·rō·wōš יַעֲקֹֽב׃ [and] Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ יְשַׂדֶּד־ will break the hard ground yə·śad·deḏ- ל֖וֹ . lōw Hosea 10:12 זִרְע֨וּ Sow zir·‘ū לָכֶ֤ם for yourselves lā·ḵem לִצְדָקָה֙ righteousness liṣ·ḏā·qāh קִצְר֣וּ and reap the fruit qiṣ·rū לְפִי־ . . . lə·p̄î- חֶ֔סֶד of loving devotion ; ḥe·seḏ נִ֥ירוּ break up nî·rū לָכֶ֖ם your lā·ḵem נִ֑יר unplowed ground . nîr וְעֵת֙ For [it is] time wə·‘êṯ לִדְר֣וֹשׁ to seek liḏ·rō·wōš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh עַד־ until ‘aḏ- יָב֕וֹא He comes yā·ḇō·w צֶ֖דֶק and sends righteousness ṣe·ḏeq לָכֶֽם׃ upon you lā·ḵem וְיֹרֶ֥ה like rain . wə·yō·reh Hosea 10:13 חֲרַשְׁתֶּם־ You have plowed ḥă·raš·tem- רֶ֛שַׁע wickedness re·ša‘ קְצַרְתֶּ֖ם and reaped qə·ṣar·tem עַוְלָ֥תָה injustice ; ‘aw·lā·ṯāh אֲכַלְתֶּ֣ם you have eaten ’ă·ḵal·tem פְּרִי־ the fruit pə·rî- כָ֑חַשׁ of lies . ḵā·ḥaš כִּֽי־ Because kî- בָטַ֥חְתָּ you have trusted ḇā·ṭaḥ·tā בְדַרְכְּךָ֖ in your own way ḇə·ḏar·kə·ḵā בְּרֹ֥ב and in the multitude bə·rōḇ גִּבּוֹרֶֽיךָ׃ of your mighty men , gib·bō·w·re·ḵā Hosea 10:14 שָׁאוֹן֮ the roar of battle šā·’ō·wn וְקָ֣אם will rise wə·qām בְּעַמֶּךָ֒ against your people , bə·‘am·me·ḵā וְכָל־ so that all wə·ḵāl מִבְצָרֶ֣יךָ your fortresses miḇ·ṣā·re·ḵā יוּשַּׁ֔ד will be demolished yūš·šaḏ שַֽׁלְמַ֛ן as Shalman šal·man בֵּ֥ית bêṯ כְּשֹׁ֧ד devastated kə·šōḏ אַֽרְבֵ֖אל Beth-arbel ’ar·ḇêl בְּי֣וֹם in the day bə·yō·wm מִלְחָמָ֑ה of battle , mil·ḥā·māh אֵ֥ם when mothers ’êm רֻטָּֽשָׁה׃ were dashed to pieces ruṭ·ṭā·šāh עַל־ along with ‘al- בָּנִ֖ים their children . bā·nîm Hosea 10:15 כָּ֗כָה Thus kā·ḵāh עָשָׂ֤ה it will be done ‘ā·śāh לָכֶם֙ to you , lā·ḵem בֵּֽית־ vvv bêṯ- אֵ֔ל O Bethel , ’êl מִפְּנֵ֖י because of mip·pə·nê רָֽעַתְכֶ֑ם your great rā·‘aṯ·ḵem רָעַ֣ת wickedness . rā·‘aṯ בַּשַּׁ֕חַר When the day dawns , baš·ša·ḥar מֶ֥לֶךְ the king me·leḵ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel yiś·rā·’êl נִדְמֹ֥ה will be utterly niḏ·mōh נִדְמָ֖ה cut off . niḏ·māh Hosea 11:1 כִּ֛י When kî יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl נַ֥עַר was a child , na·‘ar וָאֹהֲבֵ֑הוּ I loved him , wā·’ō·hă·ḇê·hū וּמִמִּצְרַ֖יִם and out of Egypt ū·mim·miṣ·ra·yim קָרָ֥אתִי I called qā·rā·ṯî לִבְנִֽי׃ My son . liḇ·nî Hosea 11:2 קָרְא֖וּ But the more I called qā·rə·’ū לָהֶ֑ם [Israel] , lā·hem כֵּ֚ן the farther kên
