Hosea 2:17 וַהֲסִרֹתִ֛י For I will remove wa·hă·si·rō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִפִּ֑יהָ from her lips mip·pî·hā שְׁמ֥וֹת the names šə·mō·wṯ הַבְּעָלִ֖ים of the Baals ; hab·bə·‘ā·lîm וְלֹֽא־ no wə·lō- ע֖וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ בִּשְׁמָֽם׃ will their names biš·mām יִזָּכְר֥וּ be invoked . yiz·zā·ḵə·rū Hosea 2:18 הַה֔וּא On that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm וְכָרַתִּ֨י I will make wə·ḵā·rat·tî בְּרִית֙ a covenant bə·rîṯ לָהֶ֤ם for them lā·hem עִם־ with ‘im- חַיַּ֤ת the beasts ḥay·yaṯ הַשָּׂדֶה֙ of the field haś·śā·ḏeh וְעִם־ [and] wə·‘im- ע֣וֹף the birds ‘ō·wp̄ הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם of the air haš·šā·ma·yim וְרֶ֖מֶשׂ and the creatures that crawl wə·re·meś הָֽאֲדָמָ֑ה on the ground . hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֶשְׁבּ֣וֹר And I will abolish ’eš·bō·wr וְקֶ֨שֶׁת bow wə·qe·šeṯ וְחֶ֤רֶב and sword wə·ḥe·reḇ וּמִלְחָמָה֙ and weapons of war ū·mil·ḥā·māh מִן־ in min- הָאָ֔רֶץ the land , hā·’ā·reṣ וְהִשְׁכַּבְתִּ֖ים and will make them lie down wə·hiš·kaḇ·tîm לָבֶֽטַח׃ in safety . lā·ḇe·ṭaḥ Hosea 2:19 וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ So I will betroth you wə·’ê·raś·tîḵ לִ֖י to Me lî לְעוֹלָ֑ם forever ; lə·‘ō·w·lām וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ I will betroth you wə·’ê·raś·tîḵ לִי֙ - lî בְּצֶ֣דֶק in righteousness bə·ṣe·ḏeq וּבְמִשְׁפָּ֔ט and justice , ū·ḇə·miš·pāṭ וּבְחֶ֖סֶד in loving devotion ū·ḇə·ḥe·seḏ וּֽבְרַחֲמִֽים׃ and compassion . ū·ḇə·ra·ḥă·mîm Hosea 2:20 וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ And I will betroth you wə·’ê·raś·tîḵ לִ֖י - lî בֶּאֱמוּנָ֑ה in faithfulness , be·’ĕ·mū·nāh וְיָדַ֖עַתְּ and you will know wə·yā·ḏa·‘at אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָֽה׃ס YHWH . ” Yah·weh Hosea 2:21 וְהָיָ֣ה׀ “ - wə·hā·yāh הַה֗וּא On that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm אֶֽעֱנֶה֙ I will respond — ” ’e·‘ĕ·neh נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH — Yah·weh אֶעֱנֶ֖ה “ I will respond ’e·‘ĕ·neh אֶת־ ’eṯ- הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם to the heavens , haš·šā·mā·yim וְהֵ֖ם and they wə·hêm יַעֲנ֥וּ will respond ya·‘ă·nū אֶת־ ’eṯ- הָאָֽרֶץ׃ to the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ Hosea 2:22 וְהָאָ֣רֶץ And the earth wə·hā·’ā·reṣ תַּעֲנֶ֔ה will respond ta·‘ă·neh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַדָּגָ֖ן to the grain , had·dā·ḡān וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ to the new wine hat·tî·rō·wōš וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַיִּצְהָ֑ר and oil , hay·yiṣ·hār וְהֵ֖ם and they wə·hêm יַעֲנ֥וּ will respond ya·‘ă·nū אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- יִזְרְעֶֽאל׃ to Jezreel . yiz·rə·‘el Hosea 2:23 וּזְרַעְתִּ֤יהָ And I will sow her ū·zə·ra‘·tî·hā לִּי֙ as My own lî בָּאָ֔רֶץ in the land , bā·’ā·reṣ וְרִֽחַמְתִּ֖י and I will have compassion on wə·ri·ḥam·tî אֶת־ ’eṯ- לֹ֣א ‘ No lō רֻחָ֑מָה Compassion . ’ ru·ḥā·māh וְאָמַרְתִּ֤י I will say to those [called] wə·’ā·mar·tî לְלֹֽא־ ‘ Not lə·lō- עַמִּי־ My People , ’ ‘am·mî- אַ֔תָּה ‘ You ’at·tāh
