כִּ֣י For kî אָמְרָ֗ה she thought , ’ā·mə·rāh אֵלְכָ֞ה ‘ I will go ’ê·lə·ḵāh אַחֲרֵ֤י after ’a·ḥă·rê מְאַהֲבַי֙ my lovers , mə·’a·hă·ḇay נֹתְנֵ֤י who give me nō·ṯə·nê לַחְמִי֙ bread laḥ·mî וּמֵימַ֔י and water , ū·mê·may צַמְרִ֣י wool ṣam·rî וּפִשְׁתִּ֔י and linen , ū·p̄iš·tî שַׁמְנִ֖י oil šam·nî וְשִׁקּוּיָֽי׃ and drink . ’ wə·šiq·qū·yāy Hosea 2:6 לָכֵ֛ן Therefore , lā·ḵên הִנְנִי־ behold , hin·nî- שָׂ֥ךְ I will hedge up śāḵ אֶת־ her ’eṯ- דַּרְכֵּ֖ךְ path dar·kêḵ בַּסִּירִ֑ים with thorns ; bas·sî·rîm וְגָֽדַרְתִּי֙ I will enclose her with a wall wə·ḡā·ḏar·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- גְּדֵרָ֔הּ - , gə·ḏê·rāh לֹ֥א so she cannot lō תִמְצָֽא׃ find ṯim·ṣā וּנְתִיבוֹתֶ֖יהָ her way . ū·nə·ṯî·ḇō·w·ṯe·hā Hosea 2:7 וְרִדְּפָ֤ה She will pursue wə·rid·də·p̄āh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מְאַהֲבֶ֙יהָ֙ her lovers mə·’a·hă·ḇe·hā וְלֹֽא־ but not wə·lō- תַשִּׂ֣יג catch ṯaś·śîḡ אֹתָ֔ם them ; ’ō·ṯām וּבִקְשָׁ֖תַם she will seek them ū·ḇiq·šā·ṯam וְלֹ֣א but not wə·lō תִמְצָ֑א find them . ṯim·ṣā וְאָמְרָ֗ה Then she will say , wə·’ā·mə·rāh אֵלְכָ֤ה . . . ’ê·lə·ḵāh וְאָשׁ֙וּבָה֙ ‘ I will return wə·’ā·šū·ḇāh אֶל־ to ’el- הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן my first hā·ri·šō·wn אִישִׁ֣י husband , ’î·šî כִּ֣י for kî אָ֖ז then ’āz ט֥וֹב I was better off ṭō·wḇ לִ֛י . . . lî מֵעָֽתָּה׃ than now . ’ mê·‘āt·tāh Hosea 2:8 וְהִיא֙ For she wə·hî לֹ֣א does not lō יָֽדְעָ֔ה acknowledge yā·ḏə·‘āh כִּ֤י that kî אָֽנֹכִי֙ it was I ’ā·nō·ḵî נָתַ֣תִּי who gave nā·ṯat·tî לָ֔הּ her lāh הַדָּגָ֖ן grain , had·dā·ḡān וְהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ new wine , wə·hat·tî·rō·wōš וְהַיִּצְהָ֑ר and oil , wə·hay·yiṣ·hār הִרְבֵּ֥יתִי who lavished hir·bê·ṯî לָ֛הּ on her lāh וְכֶ֨סֶף silver wə·ḵe·sep̄ וְזָהָ֖ב and gold — wə·zā·hāḇ עָשׂ֥וּ which they crafted ‘ā·śū לַבָּֽעַל׃ for Baal . lab·bā·‘al Hosea 2:9 לָכֵ֣ן Therefore lā·ḵên אָשׁ֔וּב I will take back ’ā·šūḇ וְלָקַחְתִּ֤י . . . wə·lā·qaḥ·tî דְגָנִי֙ My grain ḏə·ḡā·nî בְּעִתּ֔וֹ in its time bə·‘it·tōw וְתִירוֹשִׁ֖י and My new wine wə·ṯî·rō·wō·šî בְּמֽוֹעֲד֑וֹ in its season ; bə·mō·w·‘ă·ḏōw וְהִצַּלְתִּי֙ I will take away wə·hiṣ·ṣal·tî צַמְרִ֣י My wool ṣam·rî וּפִשְׁתִּ֔י and linen , ū·p̄iš·tî לְכַסּ֖וֹת which were [given] to cover lə·ḵas·sō·wṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃ her nakedness . ‘er·wā·ṯāh Hosea 2:10 וְעַתָּ֛ה And then wə·‘at·tāh אֲגַלֶּ֥ה I will expose ’ă·ḡal·leh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נַבְלֻתָ֖הּ her lewdness naḇ·lu·ṯāh לְעֵינֵ֣י in the sight lə·‘ê·nê מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ of her lovers , mə·’a·hă·ḇe·hā לֹֽא־ and no lō- וְאִ֖ישׁ one wə·’îš יַצִּילֶ֥נָּה will deliver her yaṣ·ṣî·len·nāh מִיָּדִֽי׃ out of My hands . mî·yā·ḏî
