וּפָ֨קַדְתִּ֜י I will bring ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דְּמֵ֤י the bloodshed də·mê יִזְרְעֶאל֙ of Jezreel yiz·rə·‘el עַל־ upon ‘al- בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ יֵה֔וּא of Jehu , yê·hū וְהִ֨שְׁבַּתִּ֔י and I will put an end wə·hiš·bat·tî מַמְלְכ֖וּת to the kingdom mam·lə·ḵūṯ בֵּ֥ית vvv bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Hosea 1:5 וְהָיָ֖ה And wə·hā·yāh הַה֑וּא on that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm וְשָֽׁבַרְתִּי֙ I will break wə·šā·ḇar·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- קֶ֣שֶׁת the bow qe·šeṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl בְּעֵ֖מֶק in the Valley bə·‘ê·meq יִזְרְעֶֽאל׃ of Jezreel . ” yiz·rə·‘el Hosea 1:6 עוֹד֙ [Gomer] again ‘ō·wḏ וַתַּ֤הַר conceived wat·ta·har וַתֵּ֣לֶד and gave birth to wat·tê·leḏ בַּ֔ת a daughter , baṯ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and [YHWH] said way·yō·mer ל֔וֹ to [Hosea] , lōw קְרָ֥א “ Name qə·rā שְׁמָ֖הּ her šə·māh לֹ֣א vvv lō רֻחָ֑מָה Lo-ruhamah , ru·ḥā·māh כִּי֩ for kî לֹ֨א I will no lō אוֹסִ֜יף longer ’ō·w·sîp̄ ע֗וֹד . . . ‘ō·wḏ אֲרַחֵם֙ have compassion ’ă·ra·ḥêm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּ֣ית on the house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl כִּֽי־ that kî- נָשֹׂ֥א I should ever nā·śō אֶשָּׂ֖א forgive ’eś·śā לָהֶֽם׃ them . lā·hem Hosea 1:7 וְאֶת־ Yet wə·’eṯ- אֲרַחֵ֔ם I will have compassion ’ă·ra·ḥêm בֵּ֤ית on the house bêṯ יְהוּדָה֙ of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh וְהֽוֹשַׁעְתִּ֖ים and I will save them — wə·hō·wō·ša‘·tîm וְלֹ֣א not wə·lō אֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֗ם - ’ō·wō·šî·‘êm בְּקֶ֤שֶׁת by bow bə·qe·šeṯ וּבְחֶ֙רֶב֙ or sword ū·ḇə·ḥe·reḇ וּבְמִלְחָמָ֔ה or war , ū·ḇə·mil·ḥā·māh בְּסוּסִ֖ים not by horses bə·sū·sîm וּבְפָרָשִֽׁים׃ and cavalry , ū·ḇə·p̄ā·rā·šîm בַּיהוָ֣ה but by YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם their God . ” ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem Hosea 1:8 וַתִּגְמֹ֖ל After she had weaned wat·tiḡ·mōl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לֹ֣א vvv lō רֻחָ֑מָה Lo-ruhamah , ru·ḥā·māh וַתַּ֖הַר [Gomer] conceived wat·ta·har וַתֵּ֥לֶד and gave birth to wat·tê·leḏ בֵּֽן׃ a son . bên Hosea 1:9 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר And [YHWH] said , way·yō·mer קְרָ֥א “ Name qə·rā שְׁמ֖וֹ him šə·mōw לֹ֣א vvv lō עַמִּ֑י Lo-ammi , ‘am·mî כִּ֤י for kî אַתֶּם֙ you ’at·tem לֹ֣א are not lō עַמִּ֔י My people , ‘am·mî וְאָנֹכִ֖י and I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî לֹֽא־ am not lō- אֶהְיֶ֥ה your God ’eh·yeh לָכֶֽם׃ס . . . . lå̄·ḵɛm Hosea 1:10 מִסְפַּ֤ר Yet the number mis·par בְּנֵֽי־ vvv bə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of the Israelites yiś·rā·’êl וְֽ֠הָיָה will be wə·hā·yāh כְּח֣וֹל like the sand kə·ḥō·wl הַיָּ֔ם of the sea , hay·yām
