בַּשְּׁבִ֖י captive baš·šə·ḇî מִצְרָ֑יִם to Egypt , miṣ·rā·yim עִם־ with ‘im- נְסִֽכֵיהֶם֩ their metal images nə·si·ḵê·hem עִם־ . . . ‘im- חֶמְדָּתָ֜ם and their precious ḥem·dā·ṯām כְּלֵ֨י vessels kə·lê כֶּ֧סֶף of silver ke·sep̄ וְזָהָ֛ב and gold . wə·zā·hāḇ שָׁנִ֣ים For some years šā·nîm וְהוּא֙ he wə·hū יַעֲמֹ֔ד will stay away ya·‘ă·mōḏ מִמֶּ֖לֶךְ from the king mim·me·leḵ הַצָּפֽוֹן׃ of the North , haṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn Daniel 11:9 וּבָ֗א who will invade ū·ḇā בְּמַלְכוּת֙ the realm bə·mal·ḵūṯ מֶ֣לֶךְ of the king me·leḵ הַנֶּ֔גֶב of the South han·ne·ḡeḇ וְשָׁ֖ב and then return wə·šāḇ אֶל־ to ’el- אַדְמָתֽוֹ׃ his own land . ’aḏ·mā·ṯōw Daniel 11:10 וּבְנוֹ But his sons ū·ḇə·nō יִתְגָּר֗וּ will stir up strife yiṯ·gā·rū וְאָסְפוּ֙ and assemble wə·’ā·sə·p̄ū רַבִּ֔ים a great rab·bîm הֲמוֹן֙ army hă·mō·wn חֲיָלִ֣ים . . . , ḥă·yā·lîm וּבָ֥א which will advance forcefully ū·ḇā ב֖וֹא . . . , ḇō·w וְעָבָ֑ר sweeping through wə·‘ā·ḇār וְשָׁטַ֣ף like a flood , wə·šā·ṭap̄ וְיָשֹׁ֥ב and will again wə·yā·šōḇ וְיִתְגָּרוּ carry the battle wə·yiṯ·gå̄·rū עַד־ as ‘aḏ- מָעֻזָּה׃ far as his fortress . må̄·ʿuz·zå̄h Daniel 11:11 וְיִתְמַרְמַר֙ In a rage , wə·yiṯ·mar·mar מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ הַנֶּ֔גֶב of the South han·ne·ḡeḇ וְיָצָ֕א will march out wə·yā·ṣā וְנִלְחַ֥ם to fight wə·nil·ḥam עִמּ֖וֹ . . . ‘im·mōw עִם־ . . . ‘im- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ הַצָּפ֑וֹן of the North , haṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn וְהֶעֱמִיד֙ who will raise wə·he·‘ĕ·mîḏ רָ֔ב a large rāḇ הָמ֣וֹן army , hā·mō·wn הֶהָמ֖וֹן but it he·hā·mō·wn וְנִתַּ֥ן will be delivered wə·nit·tan בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ into the hand of his [enemy] . bə·yā·ḏōw Daniel 11:12 הֶהָמ֖וֹן When the army he·hā·mō·wn וְנִשָּׂ֥א is carried off , wə·niś·śā יָרוּם [the king of the South] will be proud yå̄·rūm לְבָב֑וֹ in heart lə·ḇā·ḇōw וְהִפִּ֛יל and will cast down wə·hip·pîl רִבֹּא֖וֹת tens of thousands , rib·bō·’ō·wṯ וְלֹ֥א but he will not wə·lō יָעֽוֹז׃ triumph . yā·‘ō·wz Daniel 11:13 מֶ֣לֶךְ For the king me·leḵ הַצָּפ֔וֹן of the North haṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn וְהֶעֱמִ֣יד will raise wə·he·‘ĕ·mîḏ וְשָׁב֙ another wə·šāḇ הָמ֔וֹן army , hā·mō·wn רַ֖ב larger raḇ מִן־ than min- הָרִאשׁ֑וֹן the first , hā·ri·šō·wn וּלְקֵ֨ץ and after ū·lə·qêṣ הָֽעִתִּ֤ים . . . hā·‘it·tîm שָׁנִים֙ some years šā·nîm יָ֣בוֹא he will advance yā·ḇō·w ב֔וֹא . . . ḇō·w גָּד֖וֹל with a great gā·ḏō·wl בְּחַ֥יִל army bə·ḥa·yil רָֽב׃ and many rāḇ וּבִרְכ֥וּשׁ supplies . ū·ḇir·ḵūš Daniel 11:14 הָהֵ֔ם In those hā·hêm וּבָעִתִּ֣ים times ū·ḇā·‘it·tîm רַבִּ֥ים many rab·bîm יַֽעַמְד֖וּ will rise up ya·‘am·ḏū עַל־ against ‘al- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ הַנֶּ֑גֶב of the South . han·ne·ḡeḇ
