פָּרִיצֵ֣י Violent pā·rî·ṣê וּבְנֵ֣י׀ ones ū·ḇə·nê עַמְּךָ֗ among your own people ‘am·mə·ḵā יִֽנַּשְּׂא֛וּ will exalt themselves yin·naś·śə·’ū לְהַעֲמִ֥יד in fulfillment lə·ha·‘ă·mîḏ חָז֖וֹן of the vision , ḥā·zō·wn וְנִכְשָֽׁלוּ׃ but they will fail . wə·niḵ·šā·lū Daniel 11:15 מֶ֣לֶךְ Then the king me·leḵ הַצָּפ֔וֹן of the North haṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn וְיָבֹא֙ will come , wə·yā·ḇō וְיִשְׁפֹּךְ֙ build up wə·yiš·pōḵ סֽוֹלֲלָ֔ה a siege ramp , sō·w·lă·lāh וְלָכַ֖ד and capture wə·lā·ḵaḏ מִבְצָר֑וֹת a fortified miḇ·ṣā·rō·wṯ עִ֣יר city . ‘îr וּזְרֹע֤וֹת The forces ū·zə·rō·‘ō·wṯ הַנֶּ֙גֶב֙ of the South han·ne·ḡeḇ לֹ֣א will not lō יַעֲמֹ֔דוּ stand ; ya·‘ă·mō·ḏū מִבְחָרָ֔יו even their best miḇ·ḥā·rāw וְעַם֙ troops wə·‘am וְאֵ֥ין will not wə·’ên כֹּ֖חַ be able kō·aḥ לַעֲמֹֽד׃ to resist . la·‘ă·mōḏ Daniel 11:16 הַבָּ֤א The invader hab·bā אֵלָיו֙ . . . ’ê·lāw וְיַ֨עַשׂ will do wə·ya·‘aś כִּרְצוֹנ֔וֹ as he pleases , kir·ṣō·w·nōw וְאֵ֥ין and no one wə·’ên עוֹמֵ֖ד will stand ‘ō·w·mêḏ לְפָנָ֑יו against him . lə·p̄ā·nāw וְיַעֲמֹ֥ד He will establish himself wə·ya·‘ă·mōḏ הַצְּבִ֖י in the Beautiful haṣ·ṣə·ḇî בְּאֶֽרֶץ־ Land , bə·’e·reṣ- וְכָלָ֥ה with destruction wə·ḵā·lāh בְיָדֽוֹ׃ in his hand . ḇə·yā·ḏōw Daniel 11:17 וְיָשֵׂ֣ם׀ He will resolve wə·yā·śêm פָּ֠נָיו . . . pā·nāw לָב֞וֹא to come lā·ḇō·w בְּתֹ֧קֶף with the strength bə·ṯō·qep̄ כָּל־ of his whole kāl- מַלְכוּת֛וֹ kingdom , mal·ḵū·ṯōw וִישָׁרִ֥ים and will reach an agreement wî·šā·rîm וְעָשָׂ֑ה . . . wə·‘ā·śāh עִמּ֖וֹ with [the king of the South] . ‘im·mōw וּבַ֤ת He will give him a daughter ū·ḇaṯ הַנָּשִׁים֙ in marriage han·nā·šîm יִתֶּן־ . . . yit·ten- ל֣וֹ lōw לְהַשְׁחִיתָ֔הּ in order to overthrow [the kingdom] , lə·haš·ḥî·ṯāh וְלֹ֥א but [his plan] will not wə·lō תַעֲמֹ֖ד succeed ṯa·‘ă·mōḏ וְלֹא־ or help wə·lō- ל֥וֹ him lōw תִהְיֶֽה׃ . ṯih·yeh Daniel 11:18 וְיָשֵׁב Then he will turn wə·yå̄·šēḇ פָּנָ֛יו his face pā·nāw לְאִיִּ֖ים to the coastlands lə·’î·yîm וְלָכַ֣ד and capture wə·lā·ḵaḏ רַבִּ֑ים many of them . rab·bîm קָצִ֤ין But a commander qā·ṣîn וְהִשְׁבִּ֨ית will put an end wə·hiš·bîṯ חֶרְפָּתוֹ֙ to his reproach ḥer·pā·ṯōw ל֔וֹ lōw בִּלְתִּ֥י bil·tî חֶרְפָּת֖וֹ vvv ḥer·pā·ṯōw יָשִׁ֥יב and will turn it back yā·šîḇ לֽוֹ׃ upon him . lōw Daniel 11:19 פָּנָ֔יו After this, he will turn back pā·nāw וְיָשֵׁ֣ב . . . wə·yā·šêḇ לְמָעוּזֵּ֖י toward the fortresses lə·mā·‘ūz·zê אַרְצ֑וֹ of his own land , ’ar·ṣōw וְנִכְשַׁ֥ל but he will stumble wə·niḵ·šal וְנָפַ֖ל and fall wə·nā·p̄al וְלֹ֥א and be no more wə·lō יִמָּצֵֽא׃ . . . . yim·mā·ṣê Daniel 11:20 עַל־ In ‘al- כַּנּ֛וֹ his place kan·nōw וְעָמַ֧ד one will arise wə·‘ā·maḏ מַעֲבִ֥יר who will send out ma·‘ă·ḇîr נוֹגֵ֖שׂ a tax collector nō·w·ḡêś הֶ֣דֶר for the glory he·ḏer
