מַלְכ֥וּת the kingdom mal·ḵūṯ יָוָֽן׃ of Greece . yā·wān Daniel 11:3 גִּבּ֑וֹר Then a mighty gib·bō·wr מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ וְעָמַ֖ד will arise , wə·‘ā·maḏ וּמָשַׁל֙ who will rule ū·mā·šal רַ֔ב with great raḇ מִמְשָׁ֣ל authority mim·šāl וְעָשָׂ֖ה and do wə·‘ā·śāh כִּרְצוֹנֽוֹ׃ as he pleases . kir·ṣō·w·nōw Daniel 11:4 וּכְעָמְדוֹ֙ But as soon as he is established , ū·ḵə·‘ā·mə·ḏōw מַלְכוּת֔וֹ his kingdom mal·ḵū·ṯōw תִּשָּׁבֵ֣ר will be broken up tiš·šā·ḇêr וְתֵחָ֕ץ and parceled wə·ṯê·ḥāṣ לְאַרְבַּ֖ע out toward the four lə·’ar·ba‘ רוּח֣וֹת winds rū·ḥō·wṯ הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם of heaven . haš·šā·mā·yim וְלֹ֣א It will not [go] wə·lō לְאַחֲרִית֗וֹ to his descendants , lə·’a·ḥă·rî·ṯōw וְלֹ֤א nor will it wə·lō כְמָשְׁלוֹ֙ have the authority ḵə·mā·šə·lōw אֲשֶׁ֣ר with which ’ă·šer מָשָׁ֔ל he ruled , mā·šāl כִּ֤י because kî מַלְכוּת֔וֹ his kingdom mal·ḵū·ṯōw תִנָּתֵשׁ֙ will be uprooted ṯin·nā·ṯêš וְלַאֲחֵרִ֖ים and [given] to others wə·la·’ă·ḥê·rîm מִלְּבַד־ . . . mil·lə·ḇaḏ- אֵֽלֶּה׃ . . . . ’êl·leh Daniel 11:5 מֶֽלֶךְ־ The king me·leḵ- הַנֶּ֖גֶב of the South han·ne·ḡeḇ וְיֶחֱזַ֥ק will grow strong , wə·ye·ḥĕ·zaq וּמִן־ but one of ū·min- שָׂרָ֑יו his commanders śā·rāw עָלָיו֙ will grow even ‘ā·lāw וְיֶחֱזַ֤ק stronger wə·ye·ḥĕ·zaq וּמָשָׁ֔ל and will rule ū·mā·šāl מִמְשָׁ֥ל his own kingdom mim·šāl רַ֖ב with great raḇ מֶמְשַׁלְתּֽוֹ׃ authority . mem·šal·tōw Daniel 11:6 וּלְקֵ֤ץ After ū·lə·qêṣ שָׁנִים֙ some years šā·nîm יִתְחַבָּ֔רוּ they will form an alliance , yiṯ·ḥab·bā·rū וּבַ֣ת and the daughter ū·ḇaṯ מֶֽלֶךְ־ of the king me·leḵ- הַנֶּ֗גֶב of the South han·ne·ḡeḇ תָּבוֹא֙ will go tā·ḇō·w אֶל־ to ’el- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ הַצָּפ֔וֹן of the North haṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת to seal la·‘ă·śō·wṯ מֵישָׁרִ֑ים the agreement . mê·šā·rîm וְלֹֽא־ But [his daughter] will not wə·lō- תַעְצֹ֞ר retain ṯa‘·ṣōr כּ֣וֹחַ her position of power kō·w·aḥ הַזְּר֗וֹעַ . . . , haz·zə·rō·w·a‘ וְלֹ֤א nor will wə·lō וּזְרֹע֔וֹ his strength ū·zə·rō·‘ōw יַעֲמֹד֙ endure . ya·‘ă·mōḏ בָּעִתִּֽים׃ At that time bā·‘it·tîm הִ֤יא she hî וְתִנָּתֵ֨ן will be given up , wə·ṯin·nā·ṯên וּמְבִיאֶ֙יהָ֙ along with her royal escort ū·mə·ḇî·’e·hā וְהַיֹּ֣לְדָ֔הּ and her father wə·hay·yō·lə·ḏāh וּמַחֲזִקָ֖הּ and the one who supported her . ū·ma·ḥă·zi·qāh Daniel 11:7 מִנֵּ֥צֶר But one from her family line min·nê·ṣer שָׁרָשֶׁ֖יהָ . . . šā·rā·še·hā וְעָמַ֛ד will rise up wə·‘ā·maḏ כַּנּ֑וֹ in his place , kan·nōw וְיָבֹ֣א come wə·yā·ḇō אֶל־ against ’el- הַחַ֗יִל the army ha·ḥa·yil מֶ֣לֶךְ of the king me·leḵ הַצָּפ֔וֹן of the North , haṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn וְיָבֹא֙ and enter wə·yā·ḇō בְּמָעוֹז֙ his fortress , bə·mā·‘ō·wz וְעָשָׂ֥ה fighting wə·‘ā·śāh בָהֶ֖ם ḇā·hem וְהֶחֱזִֽיק׃ and prevailing . wə·he·ḥĕ·zîq Daniel 11:8 יָבִ֣א He will take yā·ḇi וְגַ֣ם even wə·ḡam אֱ their gods ’ĕlō·hê·hem
