כְּמַרְאֵ֥ה [the one] with the likeness kə·mar·’êh אָדָ֖ם of a man ’ā·ḏām וַיִּגַּע־ touched way·yig·ga‘- בִּ֛י me bî וַֽיְחַזְּקֵֽנִי׃ and strengthened me . way·ḥaz·zə·qê·nî Daniel 10:19 אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָ֧א be afraid , tî·rā אִישׁ־ . . . ’îš- חֲמֻד֛וֹת you who are highly precious , ” ḥă·mu·ḏō·wṯ וַיֹּ֜אמֶר he said . way·yō·mer שָׁל֥וֹם “ Peace [be] šā·lō·wm לָ֖ךְ with you ! lāḵ חֲזַ֣ק Be strong now ; ḥă·zaq וַחֲזָ֑ק be very strong ! ” wa·ḥă·zāq וּֽבְדַבְּר֤וֹ As he spoke ū·ḇə·ḏab·bə·rō עִמִּי֙ with me , ‘im·mî הִתְחַזַּ֔קְתִּי I was strengthened hiṯ·ḥaz·zaq·tî וָאֹֽמְרָ֛ה and said , wā·’ō·mə·rāh יְדַבֵּ֥ר “ Speak , yə·ḏab·bêr אֲדֹנִ֖י my lord , ’ă·ḏō·nî כִּ֥י for kî חִזַּקְתָּֽנִי׃ you have strengthened me . ” ḥiz·zaq·tā·nî Daniel 10:20 הֲיָדַ֙עְתָּ֙ “ Do you know hă·yā·ḏa‘·tā לָמָּה־ why lām·māh- בָּ֣אתִי I have come bā·ṯî אֵלֶ֔יךָ to you ? ” ’ê·le·ḵā וַיֹּ֗אמֶר he said . way·yō·mer אָשׁ֔וּב “ I must return ’ā·šūḇ וְעַתָּ֣ה at once wə·‘at·tāh לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם to fight lə·hil·lā·ḥêm עִם־ against ‘im- שַׂ֣ר the prince śar פָּרָ֑ס of Persia , pā·rās וַאֲנִ֣י and when I wa·’ă·nî יוֹצֵ֔א have gone forth , yō·w·ṣê וְהִנֵּ֥ה behold , wə·hin·nêh שַׂר־ the prince śar- יָוָ֖ן of Greece yā·wān בָּֽא׃ will come . bā Daniel 10:21 אֲבָל֙ But first ’ă·ḇāl אַגִּ֣יד I will tell ’ag·gîḏ לְךָ֔ you lə·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָרָשׁ֥וּם what is inscribed hā·rā·šūm בִּכְתָ֖ב in the Book biḵ·ṯāḇ אֱמֶ֑ת of Truth . ’ĕ·meṯ וְאֵ֨ין Yet no wə·’ên אֶחָ֜ד one ’e·ḥāḏ מִתְחַזֵּ֤ק has the courage miṯ·ḥaz·zêq עִמִּי֙ to support me ‘im·mî עַל־ against ‘al- אֵ֔לֶּה these , ’êl·leh כִּ֥י except kî אִם־ . . . ’im- מִיכָאֵ֖ל Michael mî·ḵā·’êl שַׂרְכֶֽם׃פ your prince . [’’] śar·ḵem Daniel 11:1 וַאֲנִי֙ [“] And I , wa·’ă·nî אַחַ֔ת in the first ’a·ḥaṯ בִּשְׁנַ֣ת year biš·naṯ לְדָרְיָ֖וֶשׁ of Darius lə·ḏā·rə·yā·weš הַמָּדִ֑י the Mede , ham·mā·ḏî עָמְדִ֛י stood up ‘ā·mə·ḏî לְמַחֲזִ֥יק to strengthen lə·ma·ḥă·zîq וּלְמָע֖וֹז and protect ū·lə·mā·‘ō·wz לֽוֹ׃ him . lōw Daniel 11:2 וְעַתָּ֕ה Now then , wə·‘at·tāh אַגִּ֣יד I will tell ’ag·gîḏ לָ֑ךְ you lāḵ אֱמֶ֖ת the truth : ’ĕ·meṯ הִנֵּה־ - hin·nêh- שְׁלֹשָׁ֨ה Three šə·lō·šāh עוֹד֩ more ‘ō·wḏ מְלָכִ֜ים kings mə·lā·ḵîm עֹמְדִ֣ים will arise ‘ō·mə·ḏîm לְפָרַ֗ס in Persia , lə·p̄ā·ras וְהָֽרְבִיעִי֙ and then a fourth , wə·hā·rə·ḇî·‘î עֹֽשֶׁר־ who will be ‘ō·šer- גָּדוֹל֙ far gā·ḏō·wl יַעֲשִׁ֤יר richer ya·‘ă·šîr מִכֹּ֔ל than all the others . mik·kōl וּכְחֶזְקָת֣וֹ By the power ū·ḵə·ḥez·qā·ṯōw בְעָשְׁר֔וֹ of his wealth , ḇə·‘ā·šə·rōw יָעִ֣יר he will stir up yā·‘îr הַכֹּ֔ל everyone hak·kōl אֵ֖ת against ’êṯ
