וָֽאֶרְאֶ֗ה gazing at wā·’er·’eh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֹּ֔את this haz·zōṯ הַגְּדֹלָה֙ great hag·gə·ḏō·lāh הַמַּרְאָ֤ה vision . ham·mar·’āh וְלֹ֥א No wə·lō כֹּ֑ח strength kōḥ נִשְׁאַר־ remained niš·’ar- בִּ֖י in me ; bî וְהוֹדִ֗י my face wə·hō·w·ḏî נֶהְפַּ֤ךְ grew neh·paḵ עָלַי֙ . . . ‘ā·lay לְמַשְׁחִ֔ית deathly pale , lə·maš·ḥîṯ וְלֹ֥א and I was powerless wə·lō עָצַ֖רְתִּי . . . ‘ā·ṣar·tî כֹּֽחַ׃ . . . . kō·aḥ Daniel 10:9 וָאֶשְׁמַ֖ע I heard wā·’eš·ma‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- ק֣וֹל the sound qō·wl דְּבָרָ֑יו of his words , də·ḇā·rāw וּכְשָׁמְעִי֙ and as I listened ū·ḵə·šā·mə·‘î אֶת־ - ’eṯ- ק֣וֹל - , qō·wl דְּבָרָ֔יו - də·ḇā·rāw וַאֲנִ֗י I wa·’ă·nî הָיִ֛יתִי . . . hā·yî·ṯî נִרְדָּ֥ם fell into a deep sleep , nir·dām עַל־ . . . ‘al- פָּנַ֖י with my face pā·nay וּפָנַ֥י . . . ū·p̄ā·nay אָֽרְצָה׃ to the ground . ’ā·rə·ṣāh Daniel 10:10 וְהִנֵּה־ Suddenly , wə·hin·nêh- יָ֖ד a hand yāḏ נָ֣גְעָה touched nā·ḡə·‘āh בִּ֑י me bî וַתְּנִיעֵ֥נִי and set me trembling wat·tə·nî·‘ê·nî עַל־ on ‘al- וְכַפּ֥וֹת my hands wə·ḵap·pō·wṯ יָדָֽי׃ . . . yā·ḏāy בִּרְכַּ֖י and knees . bir·kay Daniel 10:11 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר He said way·yō·mer אֵלַ֡י to me , ’ê·lay דָּנִיֵּ֣אל “ Daniel , dā·nî·yêl אִישׁ־ you are a man ’îš- חֲ֠מֻדוֹת who is highly precious . ḥă·mu·ḏō·wṯ הָבֵ֨ן Consider carefully hā·ḇên בַּדְּבָרִ֜ים the words bad·də·ḇā·rîm אֲשֶׁר֩ that ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֨י I am ’ā·nō·ḵî דֹבֵ֤ר about to say ḏō·ḇêr אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ to you . ’ê·le·ḵā וַעֲמֹ֣ד Stand up wa·‘ă·mōḏ עַל־ . . . ‘al- עָמְדֶ֔ךָ . . . , ‘ā·mə·ḏe·ḵā כִּ֥י for kî עַתָּ֖ה I have now ‘at·tāh שֻׁלַּ֣חְתִּי been sent šul·laḥ·tî אֵלֶ֑יךָ to you . ” ’ê·le·ḵā וּבְדַבְּר֥וֹ And when he had said ū·ḇə·ḏab·bə·rōw הַזֶּ֖ה this haz·zeh עִמִּ֛י to me , ‘im·mî הַדָּבָ֥ר . . . had·dā·ḇār אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עָמַ֥דְתִּי I stood up ‘ā·maḏ·tî מַרְעִֽיד׃ trembling . mar·‘îḏ Daniel 10:12 אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָ֣א be afraid , tî·rā דָנִיֵּאל֒ Daniel , ” ḏā·nî·yêl וַיֹּ֣אמֶר he said way·yō·mer אֵלַי֮ - , ’ê·lay כִּ֣י׀ “ for kî מִן־ from min- הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן the first hā·ri·šō·wn הַיּ֣וֹם day hay·yō·wm אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer נָתַ֧תָּ you purposed nā·ṯa·tā אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- לִבְּךָ֛ - lib·bə·ḵā לְהָבִ֧ין to understand lə·hā·ḇîn וּלְהִתְעַנּ֛וֹת and to humble ū·lə·hiṯ·‘an·nō·wṯ לִפְנֵ֥י yourself before lip̄·nê אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God , ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā דְבָרֶ֑יךָ your words ḏə·ḇā·re·ḵā נִשְׁמְע֣וּ were heard , niš·mə·‘ū וַאֲנִי־ and I wa·’ă·nî- בָ֖אתִי have come ḇā·ṯî בִּדְבָרֶֽיךָ׃ in response to them . biḏ·ḇā·re·ḵā
