מַלְכ֑וּת of the kingdom ; mal·ḵūṯ אֲחָדִים֙ but within a few ’ă·ḥā·ḏîm וּבְיָמִ֤ים days ū·ḇə·yā·mîm יִשָּׁבֵ֔ר he will be destroyed , yiš·šā·ḇêr וְלֹ֥א though not wə·lō בְאַפַּ֖יִם in anger ḇə·’ap·pa·yim וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō בְמִלְחָמָֽה׃ or in battle . ḇə·mil·ḥā·māh Daniel 11:21 עַל־ In ‘al- כַּנּוֹ֙ his place kan·nōw נִבְזֶ֔ה a despicable person niḇ·zeh וְעָמַ֤ד will arise ; wə·‘ā·maḏ מַלְכ֑וּת royal mal·ḵūṯ ה֣וֹד honors hō·wḏ וְלֹא־ will not wə·lō- נָתְנ֥וּ be given nā·ṯə·nū עָלָ֖יו to him , ‘ā·lāw וּבָ֣א but he will come ū·ḇā בְשַׁלְוָ֔ה in a time of peace ḇə·šal·wāh וְהֶחֱזִ֥יק and seize wə·he·ḥĕ·zîq מַלְכ֖וּת the kingdom mal·ḵūṯ בַּחֲלַקְלַקּֽוֹת׃ by intrigue . ba·ḥă·laq·laq·qō·wṯ Daniel 11:22 הַשֶּׁ֛טֶף Then a flood haš·še·ṭep̄ וּזְרֹע֥וֹת of forces ū·zə·rō·‘ō·wṯ יִשָּׁטְפ֥וּ will be swept away yiš·šā·ṭə·p̄ū מִלְּפָנָ֖יו before him mil·lə·p̄ā·nāw וְיִשָּׁבֵ֑רוּ and destroyed , wə·yiš·šā·ḇê·rū וְגַ֖ם along with wə·ḡam נְגִ֥יד a prince nə·ḡîḏ בְּרִֽית׃ of the covenant . bə·rîṯ Daniel 11:23 וּמִן־ After ū·min- הִֽתְחַבְּר֥וּת an alliance is made hiṯ·ḥab·bə·rūṯ אֵלָ֖יו with him , ’ê·lāw יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה he will act ya·‘ă·śeh מִרְמָ֑ה deceitfully ; mir·māh וְעָלָ֥ה for he will rise wə·‘ā·lāh וְעָצַ֖ם to power wə·‘ā·ṣam בִּמְעַט־ with only a few bim·‘aṭ- גּֽוֹי׃ people . gō·w Daniel 11:24 בְּשַׁלְוָ֞ה In a time of peace , bə·šal·wāh יָבוֹא֒ he will invade yā·ḇō·w וּבְמִשְׁמַנֵּ֣י the richest ū·ḇə·miš·man·nê מְדִינָה֮ provinces mə·ḏî·nāh וְעָשָׂ֗ה and do wə·‘ā·śāh אֲשֶׁ֨ר what ’ă·šer אֲבֹתָיו֙ his fathers ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw וַאֲב֣וֹת and forefathers wa·’ă·ḇō·wṯ אֲבֹתָ֔יו . . . ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw לֹא־ never lō- עָשׂ֤וּ did . ‘ā·śū יִבְז֑וֹר He will lavish yiḇ·zō·wr בִּזָּ֧ה plunder , biz·zāh וְשָׁלָ֛ל loot , wə·šā·lāl וּרְכ֖וּשׁ and wealth [on his followers] , ū·rə·ḵūš לָהֶ֣ם . . . lā·hem יְחַשֵּׁ֥ב and he will plot yə·ḥaš·šêḇ מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֖יו . . . maḥ·šə·ḇō·ṯāw וְעַ֧ל against wə·‘al מִבְצָרִ֛ים the strongholds — miḇ·ṣā·rîm וְעַד־ but only for wə·‘aḏ- עֵֽת׃ a time . ‘êṯ Daniel 11:25 גָּדוֹל֒ And with a large gā·ḏō·wl בְּחַ֣יִל army bə·ḥa·yil וְיָעֵר֩ he will stir up wə·yā·‘êr כֹּח֨וֹ his power kō·ḥōw וּלְבָב֜וֹ and his courage ū·lə·ḇā·ḇōw עַל־ against ‘al- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ הַנֶּגֶב֮ of the South , han·ne·ḡeḇ וּמֶ֣לֶךְ [who] ū·me·leḵ הַנֶּ֗גֶב . . . han·ne·ḡeḇ יִתְגָּרֶה֙ will mobilize yiṯ·gā·reh לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה . . . lam·mil·ḥā·māh עַד־ a very ‘aḏ- מְאֹ֑ד . . . mə·’ōḏ גָּד֥וֹל large gā·ḏō·wl וְעָצ֖וּם and powerful wə·‘ā·ṣūm בְּחַֽיִל־ army bə·ḥa·yil- וְלֹ֣א but will not wə·lō יַעֲמֹ֔ד withstand ya·‘ă·mōḏ כִּֽי־ - kî- מַחֲשָׁבֽוֹת׃ the plots ma·ḥă·šā·ḇō·wṯ יַחְשְׁב֥וּ devised yaḥ·šə·ḇū עָלָ֖יו against him . ‘ā·lāw
