וּרְב֥וּ greatness ū·rə·ḇū ה֥וּסְפַת was added hū·sə·p̄aṯ לִֽי׃ to me . lî Daniel 4:37 כְּעַ֞ן Now kə·‘an אֲנָ֣ה I , ’ă·nāh נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֗ר Nebuchadnezzar , nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·neṣ·ṣar מְשַׁבַּ֨ח praise mə·šab·baḥ וּמְרוֹמֵ֤ם and exalt ū·mə·rō·w·mêm וּמְהַדַּר֙ and glorify ū·mə·had·dar לְמֶ֣לֶךְ the King lə·me·leḵ שְׁמַיָּ֔א of heaven , šə·may·yā דִּ֤י for dî כָל־ all ḵāl מַעֲבָד֙וֹהִי֙ His works ma·‘ă·ḇā·ḏō·w·hî קְשֹׁ֔ט are true qə·šōṭ וְאֹרְחָתֵ֖הּ and all His ways wə·’ō·rə·ḥā·ṯêh דִּ֑ין are just . dîn יָכִ֖ל And He is able yā·ḵil לְהַשְׁפָּלָֽה׃פ to humble lə·haš·pā·lāh וְדִי֙ those wə·ḏî מַהְלְכִ֣ין who walk mah·lə·ḵîn בְּגֵוָ֔ה in pride . bə·ḡê·wāh Daniel 5:1 מַלְכָּ֗א [Later,] mal·kā בֵּלְשַׁאצַּ֣ר King Belshazzar bê·lə·šaṣ·ṣar עֲבַד֙ held ‘ă·ḇaḏ רַ֔ב a great raḇ לְחֶ֣ם feast lə·ḥem אֲלַ֑ף for a thousand ’ă·lap̄ לְרַבְרְבָנ֖וֹהִי of his nobles , lə·raḇ·rə·ḇā·nō·w·hî שָׁתֵֽה׃ and he drank šā·ṯêh חַמְרָ֥א wine ḥam·rā וְלָקֳבֵ֥ל with wə·lā·qo·ḇêl אַלְפָּ֖א them . ’al·pā Daniel 5:2 חַמְרָ֗א Under the influence of the wine , ḥam·rā בֵּלְשַׁאצַּ֞ר Belshazzar bê·lə·šaṣ·ṣar אֲמַ֣ר׀ gave orders ’ă·mar בִּטְעֵ֣ם . . . biṭ·‘êm לְהַיְתָיָה֙ to bring lə·hay·ṯā·yāh דַּהֲבָ֣א in the gold da·hă·ḇā וְכַסְפָּ֔א and silver wə·ḵas·pā לְמָאנֵי֙ vessels lə·mā·nê דִּ֤י that dî נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֣ר Nebuchadnezzar nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·neṣ·ṣar אֲב֔וּהִי his father ’ă·ḇū·hî הַנְפֵּק֙ had taken han·pêq מִן־ from min- הֵיכְלָ֖א the temple hê·ḵə·lā דִּ֣י . . . dî בִירוּשְׁלֶ֑ם in Jerusalem , ḇî·rū·šə·lem מַלְכָּא֙ so that the king mal·kā וְיִשְׁתּ֣וֹן could drink wə·yiš·tō·wn בְּה֗וֹן from them , bə·hō·wn וְרַבְרְבָנ֔וֹהִי along with his nobles , wə·raḇ·rə·ḇā·nō·w·hî שֵׁגְלָתֵ֖הּ his wives , šê·ḡə·lā·ṯêh וּלְחֵנָתֵֽהּ׃ and his concubines . ū·lə·ḥê·nā·ṯêh Daniel 5:3 בֵּאדַ֗יִן Thus bê·ḏa·yin הַיְתִיו֙ they brought in hay·ṯîw דַהֲבָ֔א the gold ḏa·hă·ḇā מָאנֵ֣י vessels mā·nê דִּ֣י that dî הַנְפִּ֗קוּ had been taken han·pi·qū מִן־ from min- הֵֽיכְלָ֛א the temple , hê·ḵə·lā דִּֽי־ . . . dî- בֵ֥ית the house ḇêṯ אֱלָהָ֖א of God ’ĕ·lā·hā דִּ֣י . . . dî בִירֽוּשְׁלֶ֑ם in Jerusalem , ḇî·rū·šə·lem מַלְכָּא֙ and the king mal·kā וְאִשְׁתִּ֣יו drank wə·’iš·tîw בְּה֗וֹן from them , bə·hō·wn וְרַבְרְבָנ֔וֹהִי along with his nobles , wə·raḇ·rə·ḇā·nō·w·hî שֵׁגְלָתֵ֖הּ his wives , šê·ḡə·lā·ṯêh וּלְחֵנָתֵֽהּ׃ and his concubines . ū·lə·ḥê·nā·ṯêh Daniel 5:4 אִשְׁתִּ֖יו As they drank ’iš·tîw חַמְרָ֑א the wine , ḥam·rā וְ֠שַׁבַּחוּ they praised wə·šab·ba·ḥū לֵֽאלָהֵ֞י [their] gods lê·lā·hê דַּהֲבָ֧א of gold da·hă·ḇā וְכַסְפָּ֛א and silver , wə·ḵas·pā נְחָשָׁ֥א bronze nə·ḥā·šā פַרְזְלָ֖א and iron , p̄ar·zə·lā אָעָ֥א wood ’ā·‘ā וְאַבְנָֽא׃ and stone . wə·’aḇ·nā
