דִּ֥י . . . dî יִצְבֵּ֖א He wishes . ” yiṣ·bê Daniel 4:33 בַּהּ־ At that bah- שַׁעֲתָ֗א moment ša·‘ă·ṯā מִלְּתָא֮ the sentence mil·lə·ṯā עַל־ against ‘al- נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּר֒ Nebuchadnezzar nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·neṣ·ṣar סָ֣פַת was fulfilled . sā·p̄aṯ טְרִ֔יד He was driven away ṭə·rîḏ וּמִן־ from ū·min- אֲנָשָׁ֣א mankind . ’ă·nā·šā יֵאכֻ֔ל He ate yê·ḵul וְעִשְׂבָּ֤א grass wə·‘iś·bā כְתוֹרִין֙ like an ox , ḵə·ṯō·w·rîn גִּשְׁמֵ֣הּ and his body giš·mêh יִצְטַבַּ֑ע was drenched yiṣ·ṭab·ba‘ וּמִטַּ֥ל with the dew ū·miṭ·ṭal שְׁמַיָּ֖א of heaven , šə·may·yā עַ֣ד until ‘aḏ דִּ֥י . . . dî שַׂעְרֵ֛הּ his hair śa‘·rêh רְבָ֖ה grew rə·ḇāh כְּנִשְׁרִ֥ין like [the feathers of] an eagle kə·niš·rîn וְטִפְר֥וֹהִי and his nails wə·ṭip̄·rō·w·hî כְצִפְּרִֽין׃ like [the claws of] a bird . ḵə·ṣip·pə·rîn Daniel 4:34 וְלִקְצָ֣ת But at the end wə·liq·ṣāṯ יֽוֹמַיָּה֩ of those days yō·w·may·yāh אֲנָ֨ה I , ’ă·nāh נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֜ר Nebuchadnezzar , nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·neṣ·ṣar עַיְנַ֣י׀ looked up ‘ay·nay נִטְלֵ֗ת . . . niṭ·lêṯ לִשְׁמַיָּ֣א to heaven , liš·may·yā וּמַנְדְּעִי֙ and my sanity ū·man·də·‘î יְת֔וּב was restored yə·ṯūḇ עֲלַ֣י to me . ‘ă·lay בָּרְכֵ֔ת Then I praised bā·rə·ḵêṯ וּלְעִלָּיָא the Most High , ū·lə·ʿil·lå̄·yå̄ שַׁבְּחֵ֣ת and I honored šab·bə·ḥêṯ וְהַדְּרֵ֑ת and glorified wə·had·də·rêṯ דִּ֤י . . . dî וּלְחַ֥י Him who lives ū·lə·ḥay עָלְמָ֖א forever : ‘ā·lə·mā שָׁלְטָנֵהּ֙ “ For His dominion šā·lə·ṭā·nêh עָלַ֔ם is an everlasting ‘ā·lam שָׁלְטָ֣ן dominion , šā·lə·ṭān וּמַלְכוּתֵ֖הּ and His kingdom ū·mal·ḵū·ṯêh עִם־ endures from ‘im- דָּ֥ר generation dār וְדָֽר׃ to generation . wə·ḏār Daniel 4:35 וְכָל־ All wə·ḵāl דָּאֲרֵי the peoples då̄·ʾă·rē אַרְעָא֙ of the earth ’ar·‘ā חֲשִׁיבִ֔ין are counted ḥă·šî·ḇîn כְּלָ֣ה as nothing , kə·lāh עָבֵד֙ and He does ‘ā·ḇêḏ וּֽכְמִצְבְּיֵ֗הּ as He pleases ū·ḵə·miṣ·bə·yêh בְּחֵ֣יל with the army bə·ḥêl שְׁמַיָּ֔א of heaven šə·may·yā וְדָאֲרֵי and the peoples wə·ḏå̄·ʾă·rē אַרְעָ֑א of the earth . ’ar·‘ā אִיתַי֙ There is ’î·ṯay וְלָ֤א no wə·lā דִּֽי־ one who dî- יְמַחֵ֣א can restrain yə·ma·ḥê בִידֵ֔הּ His hand ḇî·ḏêh וְיֵ֥אמַר or say wə·yê·mar לֵ֖הּ to Him , lêh מָ֥ה ‘ What māh עֲבַֽדְתְּ׃ have You done ? ’” ‘ă·ḇaḏt Daniel 4:36 בֵּהּ־ At bêh- זִמְנָ֞א the same time zim·nā מַנְדְּעִ֣י׀ my sanity man·də·‘î יְת֣וּב was restored yə·ṯūḇ עֲלַ֗י - , ‘ă·lay הַדְרִ֤י my honor haḏ·rî וְזִוִי֙ and splendor wə·zi·wî יְת֣וּב returned yə·ṯūḇ עֲלַ֔י to me ‘ă·lay וְלִ֕י wə·lî וְלִיקַ֨ר for the glory wə·lî·qar מַלְכוּתִ֜י of my kingdom . mal·ḵū·ṯî הַדָּֽבְרַ֥י My advisers had·dā·ḇə·ray וְרַבְרְבָנַ֖י and nobles wə·raḇ·rə·ḇā·nay יְבַע֑וֹן sought me out , yə·ḇa·‘ō·wn הָתְקְנַ֔ת and I was restored hā·ṯə·qə·naṯ וְעַל־ to wə·‘al- מַלְכוּתִ֣י my throne , mal·ḵū·ṯî יַתִּירָ֖ה and surpassing yat·tî·rāh
