Exodus 21:29 וְאִ֡ם But if wə·’im שׁוֹר֩ the ox šō·wr מִתְּמֹ֣ל has a habit mit·tə·mōl שִׁלְשֹׁ֗ם . . . šil·šōm נַגָּ֨ח of goring , nag·gāḥ ה֜וּא . . . hū בִּבְעָלָיו֙ and its owner biḇ·‘ā·lāw וְהוּעַ֤ד has been warned wə·hū·‘aḏ וְלֹ֣א yet does not wə·lō יִשְׁמְרֶ֔נּוּ restrain it , yiš·mə·ren·nū וְהֵמִ֥ית and it kills wə·hê·mîṯ אִ֖ישׁ a man ’îš א֣וֹ or ’ōw אִשָּׁ֑ה woman , ’iš·šāh הַשּׁוֹר֙ then the ox haš·šō·wr יִסָּקֵ֔ל must be stoned yis·sā·qêl בְּעָלָ֖יו and its owner bə·‘ā·lāw וְגַם־ must also wə·ḡam- יוּמָֽת׃ be put to death . yū·māṯ Exodus 21:30 אִם־ If ’im- כֹּ֖פֶר payment kō·p̄er יוּשַׁ֣ת is demanded yū·šaṯ עָלָ֑יו of him {instead} , ‘ā·lāw פִּדְיֹ֣ן he may redeem piḏ·yōn נַפְשׁ֔וֹ his life nap̄·šōw וְנָתַן֙ by paying wə·nā·ṯan כְּכֹ֥ל the full kə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- יוּשַׁ֖ת amount demanded yū·šaṯ עָלָֽיו׃ of him . ‘ā·lāw Exodus 21:31 אוֹ־ If ’ōw- יִגָּ֖ח [the ox] gores yig·gāḥ בֵ֥ן a son ḇên אוֹ־ or ’ōw- בַ֣ת a daughter , ḇaṯ יִגָּ֑ח . . . yig·gāḥ יֵעָ֥שֶׂה it shall be done yê·‘ā·śeh לּֽוֹ׃ to him lōw הַזֶּ֖ה according to the same haz·zeh כַּמִּשְׁפָּ֥ט rule . kam·miš·pāṭ Exodus 21:32 אִם־ If ’im- הַשּׁ֖וֹר the ox haš·šō·wr יִגַּ֥ח gores yig·gaḥ עֶ֛בֶד a manservant ‘e·ḇeḏ א֣וֹ or ’ōw אָמָ֑ה maidservant , ’ā·māh יִתֵּן֙ [the owner] must pay yit·tên שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים thirty šə·lō·šîm שְׁקָלִ֗ים shekels šə·qā·lîm כֶּ֣סֶף׀ of silver ke·sep̄ לַֽאדֹנָ֔יו to the master of that servant , la·ḏō·nāw וְהַשּׁ֖וֹר and the ox wə·haš·šō·wr יִסָּקֵֽל׃ס must be stoned . yis·sā·qêl Exodus 21:33 וְכִֽי־ If wə·ḵî- אִ֜ישׁ a man ’îš יִפְתַּ֨ח opens yip̄·taḥ בּ֗וֹר - bō·wr א֠וֹ or ’ōw כִּֽי־ . . . kî- יִכְרֶ֥ה digs yiḵ·reh אִ֛ישׁ . . . ’îš בֹּ֖ר a pit bōr וְלֹ֣א and fails wə·lō יְכַסֶּ֑נּוּ to cover it , yə·ḵas·sen·nū שּׁ֖וֹר and an ox šō·wr א֥וֹ or ’ōw חֲמֽוֹר׃ a donkey ḥă·mō·wr וְנָֽפַל־ falls wə·nā·p̄al- שָׁ֥מָּה into it , šām·māh Exodus 21:34 בַּ֤עַל the owner ba·‘al הַבּוֹר֙ of the pit hab·bō·wr יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם shall make restitution ; yə·šal·lêm יָשִׁ֣יב he must pay yā·šîḇ כֶּ֖סֶף . . . ke·sep̄ לִבְעָלָ֑יו its owner , liḇ·‘ā·lāw וְהַמֵּ֖ת and the dead [animal] wə·ham·mêṯ יִֽהְיֶה־ will be yih·yeh- לּֽוֹ׃ס his . lōw Exodus 21:35 וְכִֽי־ If wə·ḵî- אִ֛ישׁ a man’s ’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
