הֲלָא֩ “ Did we not hă·lā רְמֵ֤ינָא throw rə·mê·nā תְּלָתָ֜א three tə·lā·ṯā גֻבְרִ֨ין men , ḡuḇ·rîn מְכַפְּתִ֔ין firmly bound , mə·ḵap·pə·ṯîn לְגוֹא־ into lə·ḡō·w- נוּרָא֙ the fire ? ” nū·rā יַצִּיבָ֖א “ Certainly , yaṣ·ṣî·ḇā מַלְכָּֽא׃ O king , ” mal·kā עָנַ֤יִן they replied ‘ā·na·yin וְאָמְרִין֙ . . . wə·’ā·mə·rîn לְמַלְכָּ֔א . lə·mal·kā Daniel 3:25 הָֽא־ “ Look ! ” hā- עָנֵ֣ה . . . ‘ā·nêh וְאָמַ֗ר he exclaimed . wə·’ā·mar אֲנָ֨ה “ I ’ă·nāh חָזֵ֜ה see ḥā·zêh אַרְבְּעָ֗ה four ’ar·bə·‘āh גֻּבְרִ֣ין men , guḇ·rîn שְׁרַ֙יִן֙ unbound šə·ra·yin וַחֲבָ֖ל and unharmed wa·ḥă·ḇāl לָא־ . . . lā- אִיתַ֣י . . . ’î·ṯay בְּה֑וֹן , bə·hō·wn מַהְלְכִ֣ין walking around mah·lə·ḵîn בְּגֽוֹא־ in bə·ḡō·w- נוּרָ֔א the fire — nū·rā רְבִיעָיָא and the fourth rə·ḇī·ʿå̄·yå̄ וְרֵוֵהּ֙ looks wə·rê·wêh דִּ֣י . . . dî דָּמֵ֖ה like dā·mêh לְבַר־ a son lə·ḇar- אֱלָהִֽין׃ס of the gods ! ” ’ĕ·lā·hîn Daniel 3:26 בֵּאדַ֜יִן Then bê·ḏa·yin נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֗ר Nebuchadnezzar nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·neṣ·ṣar קְרֵ֣ב approached qə·rêḇ לִתְרַע֮ the door liṯ·ra‘ יָקִֽדְתָּא֒ of the blazing yā·qiḏ·tā נוּרָ֣א fiery nū·rā אַתּ֣וּן furnace ’at·tūn עָנֵ֣ה . . . ‘ā·nêh וְאָמַ֗ר and called out , wə·’ā·mar שַׁדְרַ֨ךְ “ Shadrach , šaḏ·raḵ מֵישַׁ֧ךְ Meshach , mê·šaḵ וַעֲבֵד־ vvv wa·‘ă·ḇêḏ- נְג֛וֹ and Abednego , nə·ḡōw עַבְד֛וֹהִי servants ‘aḇ·ḏō·w·hî דִּֽי־ . . . dî- עִלָּיָא of the Most High ʿil·lå̄·yå̄ אֱלָהָ֥א God , ’ĕ·lā·hā פֻּ֣קוּ come out ! ” pu·qū וֶאֱת֑וֹ . . . we·’ĕ·ṯōw בֵּאדַ֣יִן So bê·ḏa·yin שַׁדְרַ֥ךְ Shadrach , šaḏ·raḵ מֵישַׁ֛ךְ Meshach , mê·šaḵ וַעֲבֵ֥ד vvv wa·‘ă·ḇêḏ נְג֖וֹ and Abednego nə·ḡōw נָֽפְקִ֗ין came out nā·p̄ə·qîn מִן־ of min- גּ֥וֹא . . . gō·w נוּרָֽא׃ the fire , nū·rā Daniel 3:27 אֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּ֞א and when the satraps , ’ă·ḥaš·dar·pə·nay·yā סִגְנַיָּ֣א prefects , siḡ·nay·yā וּפַחֲוָתָא֮ governors , ū·p̄a·ḥă·wā·ṯā מַלְכָּא֒ and royal mal·kā וְהַדָּבְרֵ֣י advisers wə·had·dā·ḇə·rê וּ֠מִֽתְכַּנְּשִׁין had gathered around , ū·miṯ·kan·nə·šîn חָזַ֣יִן they saw ḥā·za·yin נוּרָ֜א that the fire nū·rā לָֽא־ had no lā- שְׁלֵ֨ט effect šə·lêṭ בְּגֶשְׁמְה֗וֹן on the bodies bə·ḡeš·mə·hō·wn אִלֵּ֡ךְ of these ’il·lêḵ דִּי֩ . . . dî לְגֻבְרַיָּ֣א men . lə·ḡuḇ·ray·yā לָ֣א Not lā וּשְׂעַ֤ר a hair ū·śə·‘ar רֵֽאשְׁהוֹן֙ of their heads rê·šə·hō·wn הִתְחָרַ֔ךְ was singed , hiṯ·ḥā·raḵ וְסָרְבָּלֵיה֖וֹן their robes wə·sā·rə·bā·lê·hō·wn לָ֣א were unaffected lā שְׁנ֑וֹ . . . , šə·nōw לָ֥א and there was no lā עֲדָ֖ת . . . ‘ă·ḏāṯ וְרֵ֣יחַ smell wə·rê·aḥ נ֔וּר of fire nūr בְּהֽוֹן׃ on them . bə·hō·wn Daniel 3:28 נְבֽוּכַדְנֶצַּ֜ר Nebuchadnezzar nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·neṣ·ṣar
