וּפִשְׁרֵ֖הּ its interpretation . ū·p̄iš·rêh Daniel 2:37 אַ֣נְתְּה You , ʾan·təh מַלְכָּ֔א O king , mal·kā מֶ֖לֶךְ are the king me·leḵ מַלְכַיָּ֑א of kings , mal·ḵay·yā דִּ֚י to whom dî אֱלָ֣הּ the God ’ĕ·lāh שְׁמַיָּ֔א of heaven šə·may·yā יְהַב־ has given yə·haḇ- לָֽךְ׃ - lāḵ מַלְכוּתָ֥א sovereignty , mal·ḵū·ṯā חִסְנָ֛א power , ḥis·nā וְתָקְפָּ֥א strength , wə·ṯā·qə·pā וִֽיקָרָ֖א and glory . wî·qā·rā Daniel 2:38 וּבְכָל־ Wherever ū·ḇə·ḵāl דִּ֣י . . . dî בְּֽנֵי־ the sons bə·nê- אֲ֠נָשָׁא of men ’ă·nā·šā חֵיוַ֨ת or beasts ḥê·waṯ בָּרָ֤א of the field bā·rā וְעוֹף־ or birds wə·‘ō·wp̄- שְׁמַיָּא֙ of the air šə·may·yā דָאֲרִין dwell , ḏå̄·ʾă·rīn יְהַ֣ב He has given [them] yə·haḇ בִּידָ֔ךְ into your hand bî·ḏāḵ וְהַשְׁלְטָ֖ךְ and has made you ruler wə·haš·lə·ṭāḵ בְּכָלְּה֑וֹן over them all . bə·ḵāl·lə·hō·wn אַנְתְּה־ You [are] ’an·tāh ה֔וּא that hū רֵאשָׁ֖ה head rê·šāh דִּ֥י of dî דַהֲבָֽא׃ gold . ḏa·hă·ḇā Daniel 2:39 וּבָתְרָ֗ךְ But after you , ū·ḇā·ṯə·rāḵ תְּק֛וּם there will arise tə·qūm אָחֳרִ֖י another ’ā·ḥo·rî מַלְכ֥וּ kingdom , mal·ḵū אֲרַ֣עא inferior ʾă·ra·ʿ מִנָּ֑ךְ to yours . min·nāḵ אָחֳרִי֙ Next, a ’ā·ḥo·rî תְלִיתָיָא third ṯə·lī·ṯå̄·yå̄ וּמַלְכ֨וּ kingdom , ū·mal·ḵū דִּ֣י one of dî נְחָשָׁ֔א bronze , nə·ḥā·šā דִּ֥י - dî תִשְׁלַ֖ט will rule ṯiš·laṭ בְּכָל־ the whole bə·ḵāl אַרְעָֽא׃ earth . ’ar·‘ā Daniel 2:40 תֶּהֱוֵ֥א Finally, there will be te·hĕ·wê רְבִיעָיָה a fourth rə·ḇī·ʿå̄·yå̄h וּמַלְכוּ֙ kingdom ū·mal·ḵū תַקִּיפָ֖ה as strong ṯaq·qî·p̄āh כְּפַרְזְלָ֑א as iron ; kə·p̄ar·zə·lā כָּל־ kāl- קֳבֵ֗ל for qo·ḇêl דִּ֤י . . . dî פַרְזְלָא֙ iron p̄ar·zə·lā מְהַדֵּ֤ק shatters mə·had·dêq וְחָשֵׁל֙ and crushes wə·ḥā·šêl כֹּ֔לָּא all things , kōl·lā וּֽכְפַרְזְלָ֛א and like iron ū·ḵə·p̄ar·zə·lā דִּֽי־ that dî- מְרָעַ֥ע crushes mə·rā·‘a‘ כָּל־ all things , kāl- תַּדִּ֥ק it will shatter tad·diq וְתֵרֹֽעַ׃ and crush wə·ṯê·rō·a‘ אִלֵּ֖ין all the others . ’il·lên Daniel 2:41 וְדִֽי־ And just as wə·ḏî- חֲזַ֜יְתָה you saw that ḥă·zay·ṯāh רַגְלַיָּ֣א the feet raḡ·lay·yā וְאֶצְבְּעָתָ֗א and toes wə·’eṣ·bə·‘ā·ṯā מִנְּהוֹן were made min·nə·hōn פֶחָר֙ . . . p̄e·ḥār דִּֽי־ partly of dî- חֲסַ֤ף fired clay ḥă·sap̄ וּמִנְּהוֹן and partly of ū·min·nə·hōn פַּרְזֶ֔ל iron , par·zel תֶּהֱוֵ֔ה so this will be te·hĕ·wêh פְלִיגָה֙ a divided p̄ə·lî·ḡāh מַלְכ֤וּ kingdom , mal·ḵū וּמִן־ yet ū·min- נִצְבְּתָ֥א some of the strength niṣ·bə·ṯā דִ֥י of ḏî פַרְזְלָ֖א iron p̄ar·zə·lā לֶֽהֱוֵא־ will be in it — le·hĕ·wê- בַ֑הּ ḇah
