שְׁרֵֽא׃ dwells šə·rê עִמֵּ֥הּ with Him . ‘im·mêh Daniel 2:23 לָ֣ךְ׀ To You , lāḵ אֱלָ֣הּ O God ’ĕ·lāh אֲבָהָתִ֗י of my fathers , ’ă·ḇā·hā·ṯî אֲנָ֔ה I ’ă·nāh מְהוֹדֵ֤א give thanks mə·hō·w·ḏê וּמְשַׁבַּח֙ and praise , ū·mə·šab·baḥ דִּ֧י because dî יְהַ֣בְתְּ You have given yə·haḇt לִ֑י me lî חָכְמְתָ֛א wisdom ḥā·ḵə·mə·ṯā וּגְבוּרְתָ֖א and power . ū·ḡə·ḇū·rə·ṯā וּכְעַ֤ן And now ū·ḵə·‘an הֽוֹדַעְתַּ֙נִי֙ You have made known to me hō·w·ḏa‘·ta·nî דִּֽי־ what dî- בְעֵ֣ינָא we have requested ḇə·‘ê·nā מִנָּ֔ךְ - , min·nāḵ דִּֽי־ for dî- הוֹדַעְתֶּֽנָא׃ You have made known to us hō·w·ḏa‘·te·nā מִלַּ֥ת the dream mil·laṯ מַלְכָּ֖א of the king . ” mal·kā Daniel 2:24 כָּל־ - kāl- קֳבֵ֣ל Therefore qo·ḇêl דְּנָ֗ה . . . də·nāh דָּֽנִיֵּאל֙ Daniel dā·nî·yêl עַ֣ל went ‘al עַל־ to ‘al- אַרְי֔וֹךְ Arioch , ’ar·yō·wḵ דִּ֚י whom dî מַלְכָּ֔א the king mal·kā מַנִּ֣י had appointed man·nî לְהוֹבָדָ֖ה to destroy lə·hō·w·ḇā·ḏāh לְחַכִּימֵ֣י the wise men lə·ḥak·kî·mê בָבֶ֑ל of Babylon , ḇā·ḇel אֲזַ֣ל׀ vvv ’ă·zal וְכֵ֣ן vvv wə·ḵên אֲמַר־ and said ’ă·mar- לֵ֗הּ to him , lêh אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תְּהוֹבֵ֔ד execute tə·hō·w·ḇêḏ לְחַכִּימֵ֤י the wise men lə·ḥak·kî·mê בָבֶל֙ of Babylon ! ḇā·ḇel הַעֵ֙לְנִי֙ Bring me ha·‘ê·lə·nî קֳדָ֣ם before qo·ḏām מַלְכָּ֔א the king , mal·kā אֲחַוֵּֽא׃ס and I will give ’ă·ḥaw·wê לְמַלְכָּ֥א him lə·mal·kā וּפִשְׁרָ֖א the interpretation . ” ū·p̄iš·rā Daniel 2:25 אַרְיוֹךְ֙ Arioch ’ar·yō·wḵ בְּהִתְבְּהָלָ֔ה hastily bə·hiṯ·bə·hā·lāh אֱדַ֤יִן . . . ’ĕ·ḏa·yin הַנְעֵ֥ל brought han·‘êl לְדָנִיֵּ֖אל Daniel lə·ḏā·nî·yêl קֳדָ֣ם before qo·ḏām מַלְכָּ֑א the king mal·kā וְכֵ֣ן . . . wə·ḵên אֲמַר־ and said ’ă·mar- לֵ֗הּ to him , lêh הַשְׁכַּ֤חַת “ I have found haš·ka·ḥaṯ גְּבַר֙ a man gə·ḇar מִן־ among min- דִּֽי־ - dî- בְּנֵ֤י the exiles bə·nê גָֽלוּתָא֙ . . . ḡā·lū·ṯā דִּ֣י dî יְה֔וּד from Judah yə·hūḏ דִּ֥י who dî יְהוֹדַֽע׃ will tell yə·hō·w·ḏa‘ לְמַלְכָּ֥א the king lə·mal·kā פִשְׁרָ֖א the interpretation . ” p̄iš·rā Daniel 2:26 מַלְכָּא֙ The king mal·kā עָנֵ֤ה responded ‘ā·nêh וְאָמַ֣ר . . . wə·’ā·mar לְדָנִיֵּ֔אל to Daniel , lə·ḏā·nî·yêl דִּ֥י whose dî שְׁמֵ֖הּ name šə·mêh בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּ֑ר was Belteshazzar , bê·lə·ṭə·šaṣ·ṣar הַאִיתַיִךְ . . . ha·ʾī·ṯa·yiḵ כָּהֵ֗ל “ Are you able kā·hêl לְהוֹדָעֻתַ֛נִי to tell me lə·hō·w·ḏā·‘u·ṯa·nî דִֽי־ what ḏî- חֲזֵ֖ית I saw ḥă·zêṯ חֶלְמָ֥א in the dream , ḥel·mā וּפִשְׁרֵֽהּ׃ as well as its interpretation ? ” ū·p̄iš·rêh
