חַי־ live , ḥay- אֲשֶׁ֤ר those ’ă·šer בֶּֽחֳרָבוֹת֙ in the ruins be·ḥo·rā·ḇō·wṯ יִפֹּ֔לוּ will fall yip·pō·lū בַּחֶ֣רֶב by the sword , ba·ḥe·reḇ וַֽאֲשֶׁר֙ those wa·’ă·šer עַל־ in ‘al- פְּנֵ֣י the open field pə·nê הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה . . . haś·śā·ḏeh נְתַתִּ֖יו I will give nə·ṯat·tîw לְאָכְל֑וֹ to be devoured lə·’ā·ḵə·lōw לַחַיָּ֥ה by wild animals , la·ḥay·yāh וַאֲשֶׁ֛ר and those wa·’ă·šer בַּמְּצָד֥וֹת in the strongholds bam·mə·ṣā·ḏō·wṯ וּבַמְּעָר֖וֹת and caves ū·ḇam·mə·‘ā·rō·wṯ יָמֽוּתוּ׃ will die yā·mū·ṯū בַּדֶּ֥בֶר by plague . bad·de·ḇer Ezekiel 33:28 וְנָתַתִּ֤י I will make wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ the land hā·’ā·reṣ שְׁמָמָ֣ה a desolate šə·mā·māh וּמְשַׁמָּ֔ה waste , ū·mə·šam·māh גְּא֣וֹן and the pride gə·’ō·wn עֻזָּ֑הּ of her strength ‘uz·zāh וְנִשְׁבַּ֖ת will come to an end . wə·niš·baṯ הָרֵ֥י The mountains hā·rê יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וְשָֽׁמְמ֛וּ will become desolate , wə·šā·mə·mū מֵאֵ֥ין so that no one mê·’ên עוֹבֵֽר׃ will pass through . ‘ō·w·ḇêr Ezekiel 33:29 וְיָדְע֖וּ Then they will know wə·yā·ḏə·‘ū כִּֽי־ that kî- אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî יְהוָ֑ה am YHWH , Yah·weh בְּתִתִּ֤י when I have made bə·ṯit·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ the land hā·’ā·reṣ שְׁמָמָ֣ה a desolate šə·mā·māh וּמְשַׁמָּ֔ה waste ū·mə·šam·māh עַ֥ל because of ‘al כָּל־ all kāl- תּוֹעֲבֹתָ֖ם the abominations tō·w·‘ă·ḇō·ṯām אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer עָשֽׂוּ׃ס they have committed . ’ ‘ā·śū Ezekiel 33:30 וְאַתָּ֣ה As for you , wə·’at·tāh בֶן־ son ḇen- אָדָ֔ם of man , ’ā·ḏām בְּנֵ֣י your people bə·nê עַמְּךָ֗ . . . ‘am·mə·ḵā הַנִּדְבָּרִ֤ים are talking han·niḏ·bā·rîm בְּךָ֙ about you bə·ḵā אֵ֣צֶל near ’ê·ṣel הַקִּיר֔וֹת the city walls haq·qî·rō·wṯ וּבְפִתְחֵ֖י and in the doorways ū·ḇə·p̄iṯ·ḥê הַבָּתִּ֑ים of their houses . hab·bāt·tîm חַ֣ד One ḥaḏ אֶת־ . . . ’eṯ- וְדִבֶּר־ speaks wə·ḏib·ber- אֶת־ to ’eṯ- אַחַ֗ד another , ’a·ḥaḏ אִ֤ישׁ each ’îš לֵאמֹ֔ר saying lê·mōr אָחִיו֙ to his brother , ’ā·ḥîw בֹּֽאוּ־ ‘ Come bō·’ū- נָ֣א . . . nā וְשִׁמְע֔וּ and hear wə·šim·‘ū מָ֣ה - māh הַדָּבָ֔ר the message had·dā·ḇār הַיּוֹצֵ֖א that has come hay·yō·w·ṣê מֵאֵ֥ת from mê·’êṯ יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH ! ’ Yah·weh Ezekiel 33:31 עָ֞ם So My people ‘ām וְיָב֣וֹאוּ come wə·yā·ḇō·w·’ū אֵ֠לֶיךָ to you ’ê·le·ḵā כִּמְבוֹא־ as usual , kim·ḇō·w- עַמִּ֔י . . . ‘am·mî וְיֵשְׁב֤וּ sit wə·yê·šə·ḇū לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ before you , lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וְשָֽׁמְעוּ֙ and hear wə·šā·mə·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דְּבָרֶ֔יךָ your words ; də·ḇā·re·ḵā וְאוֹתָ֖ם - wə·’ō·w·ṯām לֹ֣א but they do not lō יַֽעֲשׂ֑וּ put them into practice . ya·‘ă·śū כִּֽי־ Although kî- הֵ֣מָּה they hêm·māh עֹשִׂ֔ים express ‘ō·śîm אַחֲרֵ֥י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê
