יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם makes restitution yə·šal·lêm גְּזֵלָ֣ה for what he has stolen , gə·zê·lāh הָלַ֔ךְ and walks hā·laḵ בְּחֻקּ֤וֹת in the statutes bə·ḥuq·qō·wṯ הַֽחַיִּים֙ of life ha·ḥay·yîm לְבִלְתִּ֖י without lə·ḇil·tî עֲשׂ֣וֹת practicing ‘ă·śō·wṯ עָ֑וֶל iniquity — ‘ā·wel חָי֥וֹ then he will surely live ḥā·yōw יִֽחְיֶ֖ה . . . ; yiḥ·yeh לֹ֥א he will not lō יָמֽוּת׃ die . yā·mūṯ Ezekiel 33:16 כָּל־ None kāl- לֹ֥א . . . lō חַטָּאתוֹ of the sins ḥaṭ·ṭå̄·ṯō אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer חָטָ֔א he has committed ḥā·ṭā תִזָּכַ֖רְנָה will be held ṯiz·zā·ḵar·nāh ל֑וֹ against him . lōw עָשָׂ֖ה He has done ‘ā·śāh מִשְׁפָּ֧ט what is just miš·pāṭ וּצְדָקָ֛ה and right ; ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh חָי֥וֹ he will surely live ḥā·yōw יִֽחְיֶֽה׃ . . . . yiḥ·yeh Ezekiel 33:17 בְּנֵ֣י Yet your people bə·nê עַמְּךָ֔ . . . ‘am·mə·ḵā וְאָמְרוּ֙ say , wə·’ā·mə·rū דֶּ֣רֶךְ ‘ The way de·reḵ אֲדֹנָ֑י of the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy לֹ֥א is not lō יִתָּכֵ֖ן just . ’ yit·tā·ḵên וְהֵ֖מָּה But it is wə·hêm·māh דַּרְכָּ֥ם their way dar·kām לֹֽא־ that is not lō- יִתָּכֵֽן׃ just . yit·tā·ḵên Ezekiel 33:18 צַדִּ֥יק If a righteous man ṣad·dîq בְּשׁוּב־ turns bə·šūḇ- מִצִּדְקָת֖וֹ from his righteousness miṣ·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯōw וְעָ֣שָׂה and commits wə·‘ā·śāh עָ֑וֶל iniquity , ‘ā·wel וּמֵ֖ת he will die ū·mêṯ בָּהֶֽם׃ for it . bā·hem Ezekiel 33:19 רָשָׁע֙ But if a wicked man rā·šā‘ וּבְשׁ֤וּב turns ū·ḇə·šūḇ מֵֽרִשְׁעָת֔וֹ from his wickedness mê·riš·‘ā·ṯōw וְעָשָׂ֥ה and does wə·‘ā·śāh מִשְׁפָּ֖ט what is just miš·pāṭ וּצְדָקָ֑ה and right , ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh ה֥וּא he hū יִֽחְיֶֽה׃ will live yiḥ·yeh עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם because of this . ‘ă·lê·hem Ezekiel 33:20 וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם Yet you say , wa·’ă·mar·tem דֶּ֣רֶךְ ‘ The way de·reḵ אֲדֹנָ֑י of the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy לֹ֥א is not lō יִתָּכֵ֖ן just . ’ yit·tā·ḵên אֶשְׁפּ֥וֹט But I will judge ’eš·pō·wṭ אִ֧ישׁ each ’îš אֶתְכֶ֖ם of you ’eṯ·ḵem כִּדְרָכָ֛יו according to his ways , kiḏ·rā·ḵāw בֵּ֥ית O house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל פ of Israel . ” yiś·rå̄·ʾēl p̄ Ezekiel 33:21 וַיְהִ֞י - way·hî בִּשְׁתֵּ֧י In the twelfth biš·tê עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה . . . ‘eś·rêh שָׁנָ֗ה year šā·nāh לְגָלוּתֵ֑נוּ of our exile , lə·ḡā·lū·ṯê·nū בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה on the fifth day ba·ḥă·miš·šāh לַחֹ֖דֶשׁ - la·ḥō·ḏeš בָּעֲשִׂרִ֛י of the tenth month , bā·‘ă·śi·rî הַפָּלִ֧יט a fugitive hap·pā·lîṭ מִירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם from Jerusalem mî·rū·šā·lim בָּא־ came bā- אֵלַ֨י to me ’ê·lay לֵאמֹ֖ר and reported , lê·mōr הָעִֽיר׃ “ The city hā·‘îr הֻכְּתָ֥ה has been taken ! ” huk·kə·ṯāh Ezekiel 33:22 בָּעֶ֗רֶב Now the evening bā·‘e·reḇ לִפְנֵי֙ before lip̄·nê
