שְׁב֣וּת from captivity šə·ḇūṯ וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֤י and bring them back wa·hă·ši·ḇō·ṯî אֹתָם֙ - ’ō·ṯām עַל־ to ‘al- אֶ֣רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ פַּתְר֔וֹס of Pathros , paṯ·rō·ws אֶ֖רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ מְכֽוּרָתָ֑ם of their origin . mə·ḵū·rā·ṯām שָׁ֖ם There šām וְהָ֥יוּ they will be wə·hā·yū שְׁפָלָֽה׃ a lowly šə·p̄ā·lāh מַמְלָכָ֥ה kingdom . mam·lā·ḵāh Ezekiel 29:15 מִן־ - min- תִּהְיֶ֣ה Egypt will be tih·yeh שְׁפָלָ֔ה the lowliest šə·p̄ā·lāh הַמַּמְלָכוֹת֙ of kingdoms ham·mam·lā·ḵō·wṯ וְלֹֽא־ and will never wə·lō- ע֖וֹד again ‘ō·wḏ תִתְנַשֵּׂ֥א exalt itself ṯiṯ·naś·śê עַל־ above ‘al- הַגּוֹיִ֑ם the nations . hag·gō·w·yim וְהִ֨מְעַטְתִּ֔ים For I will diminish [Egypt] wə·him·‘aṭ·tîm לְבִלְתִּ֖י so that it will never again lə·ḇil·tî רְד֥וֹת rule rə·ḏō·wṯ בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ over the nations . bag·gō·w·yim Ezekiel 29:16 וְלֹ֣א Egypt will never wə·lō עוֹד֩ . . . ‘ō·wḏ יִֽהְיֶה־ again be yih·yeh- לְמִבְטָח֙ an object of trust lə·miḇ·ṭāḥ לְבֵ֨ית for the house lə·ḇêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl מַזְכִּ֣יר but will remind them maz·kîr עָוֺ֔ן of [their] iniquity ‘ā·wōn בִּפְנוֹתָ֖ם in turning bip̄·nō·w·ṯām אַחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם to the Egyptians . ’a·ḥă·rê·hem וְיָ֣דְע֔וּ Then they will know wə·yā·ḏə·‘ū כִּ֥י that kî אֲנִ֖י I ’ă·nî אֲדֹנָ֥י am the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִֽה׃פ YHWH . ” Yah·weh Ezekiel 29:17 וַיְהִ֗י way·hî בְּעֶשְׂרִ֤ים In the twenty-seventh bə·‘eś·rîm וָשֶׁ֙בַע֙ . . . wā·še·ḇa‘ שָׁנָ֔ה year , šā·nāh בְּאֶחָ֣ד on the first bə·’e·ḥāḏ לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ day la·ḥō·ḏeš בָּֽרִאשׁ֖וֹן of the first month , bā·ri·šō·wn דְבַר־ the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh הָיָ֥ה came hā·yāh אֵלַ֥י to me , ’ê·lay לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr Ezekiel 29:18 בֶּן־ “ Son ben- אָדָ֗ם of man , ’ā·ḏām נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר Nebuchadnezzar nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣar מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- בָּ֠בֶל of Babylon bā·ḇel חֵיל֜וֹ caused his army ḥê·lōw הֶעֱבִ֨יד to labor he·‘ĕ·ḇîḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲבֹדָ֤ה strenuously ‘ă·ḇō·ḏāh גְדֹלָה֙ . . . ḡə·ḏō·lāh אֶל־ against ’el- צֹ֔ר Tyre . ṣōr כָּל־ Every kāl- רֹ֣אשׁ head rōš מֻקְרָ֔ח was made bald muq·rāḥ וְכָל־ and every wə·ḵāl כָּתֵ֖ף shoulder kā·ṯêp̄ מְרוּטָ֑ה made raw . mə·rū·ṭāh ל֤וֹ But he lōw וּלְחֵילוֹ֙ and his army ū·lə·ḥê·lōw הָ֨יָה received hā·yāh לֹא־ no lō- וְ֠שָׂכָר wages wə·śā·ḵār מִצֹּ֔ר from Tyre miṣ·ṣōr עַל־ for ‘al- הָעֲבֹדָ֖ה the labor hā·‘ă·ḇō·ḏāh אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- עָבַ֥ד they expended ‘ā·ḇaḏ עָלֶֽיהָ׃ס on it . ‘ā·le·hā Ezekiel 29:19 לָכֵ֗ן Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּ֤ה this is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh
