וְהָיְתָ֤ה will become wə·hā·yə·ṯāh לִשְׁמָמָ֣ה a desolate liš·mā·māh וְחָרְבָּ֔ה wasteland . wə·ḥā·rə·bāh וְיָדְע֖וּ Then they will know wə·yā·ḏə·‘ū כִּֽי־ that kî- אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî יְהוָ֑ה am YHWH . Yah·weh יַ֧עַן Because ya·‘an אָמַ֛ר you said , ’ā·mar יְאֹ֥ר ‘ The Nile [is] yə·’ōr לִ֖י mine ; lî וַאֲנִ֥י I wa·’ă·nî עָשִֽׂיתִי׃ made it , ’ ‘ā·śî·ṯî Ezekiel 29:10 לָכֵ֛ן therefore lā·ḵên הִנְנִ֥י I am hin·nî אֵלֶ֖יךָ against you ’ê·le·ḵā וְאֶל־ and against wə·’el- יְאֹרֶ֑יךָ your rivers . yə·’ō·re·ḵā וְנָתַתִּ֞י I will turn wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֶ֣רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֗יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim לְחָרְבוֹת֙ into a ruin , lə·ḥā·rə·ḇō·wṯ שְׁמָמָ֔ה a desolate šə·mā·māh חֹ֣רֶב wasteland ḥō·reḇ מִמִּגְדֹּ֥ל from Migdol mim·miḡ·dōl סְוֵנֵ֖ה to Syene , sə·wê·nêh וְעַד־ and as far as wə·‘aḏ- גְּב֥וּל the border gə·ḇūl כּֽוּשׁ׃ of Cush . kūš Ezekiel 29:11 לֹ֤א No lō רֶ֣גֶל foot re·ḡel אָדָ֔ם of man ’ā·ḏām לֹ֣א [or] lō בְּהֵמָ֖ה beast bə·hê·māh תַעֲבָר־ will pass ṯa·‘ă·ḇār- בָּהּ֙ through , bāh וְרֶ֥גֶל - wə·re·ḡel תַעֲבָר־ - ṯa·‘ă·ḇār- בָּ֑הּ bāh וְלֹ֥א and wə·lō תֵשֵׁ֖ב it will be uninhabited ṯê·šêḇ אַרְבָּעִ֥ים for forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שָׁנָֽה׃ years . šā·nāh Ezekiel 29:12 וְנָתַתִּ֣י I will make wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֶרֶץ֩ the land ’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֨יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim שְׁמָמָ֜ה a desolation šə·mā·māh בְּת֣וֹךְ׀ among bə·ṯō·wḵ נְשַׁמּ֗וֹת desolate nə·šam·mō·wṯ אֲרָצ֣וֹת lands , ’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ וְעָרֶ֙יהָ֙ and her cities wə·‘ā·re·hā תִּֽהְיֶ֣יןָ will lie tih·ye·nā שְׁמָמָ֔ה desolate šə·mā·māh אַרְבָּעִ֖ים for forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שָׁנָ֑ה years šā·nāh בְּת֨וֹךְ among bə·ṯō·wḵ מָֽחֳרָבוֹת֙ the ruined mā·ḥo·rā·ḇō·wṯ עָרִ֤ים cities . ‘ā·rîm וַהֲפִצֹתִ֤י And I will disperse wa·hă·p̄i·ṣō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם among the nations bag·gō·w·yim וְֽזֵרִיתִ֖ים and scatter them wə·zê·rî·ṯîm בָּאֲרָצֽוֹת׃פ throughout the countries . bā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ Ezekiel 29:13 כִּ֛י For kî כֹּ֥ה this is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֑ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֖ר says : ’ā·mar מִקֵּ֞ץ At the end miq·qêṣ אַרְבָּעִ֤ים of forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שָׁנָה֙ years šā·nāh אֲקַבֵּ֣ץ I will gather ’ă·qab·bêṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִצְרַ֔יִם the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim מִן־ from min- הָעַמִּ֖ים the nations hā·‘am·mîm אֲשֶׁר־ to which ’ă·šer- נָפֹ֥צוּ they were scattered nā·p̄ō·ṣū שָֽׁמָּה׃ . . . . šām·māh Ezekiel 29:14 וְשַׁבְתִּי֙ I will restore wə·šaḇ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִצְרַ֔יִם Egypt miṣ·ra·yim
