בְּמָתְנֵיהֶ֗ם on their waists bə·mā·ṯə·nê·hem סְרוּחֵ֤י and flowing sə·rū·ḥê טְבוּלִים֙ turbans ṭə·ḇū·lîm בְּרָ֣אשֵׁיהֶ֔ם on their heads ; bə·rā·šê·hem כֻּלָּ֑ם all kul·lām מַרְאֵ֥ה of them looked mar·’êh שָׁלִשִׁ֖ים like officers šā·li·šîm דְּמ֤וּת - də·mūṯ בְּנֵֽי־ of the Babylonians bə·nê- בָבֶל֙ . . . ḇā·ḇel כַּשְׂדִּ֔ים in Chaldea , kaś·dîm אֶ֖רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ מוֹלַדְתָּֽם׃ of their birth . mō·w·laḏ·tām Ezekiel 23:16 לְמַרְאֵ֣ה At the sight of them lə·mar·’êh עֵינֶ֑יהָ . . . , ‘ê·ne·hā וַתַּעְגַּב she lusted wat·taʿ·gaḇ עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם for them ‘ă·lê·hem וַתִּשְׁלַ֧ח and sent wat·tiš·laḥ מַלְאָכִ֛ים messengers mal·’ā·ḵîm אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם to them ’ă·lê·hem כַּשְׂדִּֽימָה׃ in Chaldea . kaś·dî·māh Ezekiel 23:17 בְנֵֽי־ Then the Babylonians ḇə·nê- בָבֶל֙ . . . ḇā·ḇel וַיָּבֹ֨אוּ came way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֵלֶ֤יהָ to her , ’ê·le·hā לְמִשְׁכַּ֣ב to the bed lə·miš·kaḇ דֹּדִ֔ים of love , dō·ḏîm בְּתַזְנוּתָ֑ם and in their lust bə·ṯaz·nū·ṯām וַיְטַמְּא֥וּ they defiled way·ṭam·mə·’ū אוֹתָ֖הּ her . ’ō·w·ṯāh וַתִּ֨טְמָא־ But after she had been defiled wat·tiṭ·mā- בָ֔ם by them , ḇām נַפְשָׁ֖הּ she nap̄·šāh מֵהֶֽם׃ turned away mê·hem וַתֵּ֥קַע in disgust . wat·tê·qa‘ Ezekiel 23:18 וַתְּגַל֙ When [Oholibah] openly wat·tə·ḡal תַּזְנוּתֶ֔יהָ prostituted herself taz·nū·ṯe·hā וַתְּגַ֖ל and exposed wat·tə·ḡal אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֶרְוָתָ֑הּ her nakedness , ‘er·wā·ṯāh נַפְשִׁי֙ I nap̄·šî מֵֽעָלֶ֔יהָ turned away from her mê·‘ā·le·hā וַתֵּ֤קַע in disgust , wat·tê·qa‘ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר just as ka·’ă·šer נַפְשִׁ֖י I nap̄·šî נָקְעָ֥ה had turned away nā·qə·‘āh מֵעַ֥ל from mê·‘al אֲחוֹתָֽהּ׃ her sister . ’ă·ḥō·w·ṯāh Ezekiel 23:19 וַתַּרְבֶּ֖ה Yet she multiplied wat·tar·beh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- תַּזְנוּתֶ֑יהָ her promiscuity , taz·nū·ṯe·hā לִזְכֹּר֙ remembering liz·kōr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְמֵ֣י the days yə·mê נְעוּרֶ֔יהָ of her youth , nə·‘ū·re·hā אֲשֶׁ֥ר when ’ă·šer זָנְתָ֖ה she had prostituted herself zā·nə·ṯāh בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt miṣ·rā·yim Ezekiel 23:20 וַֽתַּעְגְּבָ֔ה and lusted wat·ta‘·gə·ḇāh עַ֖ל after ‘al פִּֽלַגְשֵׁיהֶ֑ם their lovers , pi·laḡ·šê·hem אֲשֶׁ֤ר whose ’ă·šer בְּשַׂר־ genitals bə·śar- בְּשָׂרָ֔ם were like those bə·śā·rām חֲמוֹרִים֙ of donkeys ḥă·mō·w·rîm וְזִרְמַ֥ת and whose emission wə·zir·maṯ זִרְמָתָֽם׃ was like that zir·mā·ṯām סוּסִ֖ים of stallions . sū·sîm Ezekiel 23:21 וַֽתִּפְקְדִ֔י So you revisited wat·tip̄·qə·ḏî אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ זִמַּ֣ת the indecency zim·maṯ נְעוּרָ֑יִךְ of your youth , nə·‘ū·rā·yiḵ מִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙ when the Egyptians mim·miṣ·ra·yim בַּעְשׂ֤וֹת caressed ba‘·śō·wṯ דַּדַּ֔יִךְ your bosom dad·da·yiḵ לְמַ֖עַן and pressed lə·ma·‘an נְעוּרָֽיִךְ׃ס your young nə·‘ū·rā·yiḵ שְׁדֵ֥י breasts . šə·ḏê
