הִבְדִּ֔ילוּ distinction hiḇ·dî·lū בֵּֽין־ between bên- קֹ֤דֶשׁ the holy qō·ḏeš לְחֹל֙ and the common , lə·ḥōl לֹ֣א and they fail lō הוֹדִ֑יעוּ to distinguish hō·w·ḏî·‘ū וּבֵין־ between ū·ḇên- לְטָה֖וֹר the clean lə·ṭā·hō·wr הַטָּמֵ֥א and the unclean . haṭ·ṭā·mê הֶעְלִ֣ימוּ They disregard he‘·lî·mū עֵֽינֵיהֶ֔ם . . . ‘ê·nê·hem וּמִשַׁבְּתוֹתַי֙ My Sabbaths , ū·mi·šab·bə·ṯō·w·ṯay וָאֵחַ֖ל so that I am profaned wā·’ê·ḥal בְּתוֹכָֽם׃ among them . bə·ṯō·w·ḵām Ezekiel 22:27 שָׂרֶ֣יהָ Her officials śā·re·hā בְקִרְבָּ֔הּ within her ḇə·qir·bāh כִּזְאֵבִ֖ים are like wolves kiz·’ê·ḇîm טֹ֣רְפֵי tearing ṭō·rə·p̄ê טָ֑רֶף their prey , ṭā·rep̄ לִשְׁפָּךְ־ shedding liš·pāḵ- דָּם֙ blood , dām לְאַבֵּ֣ד and destroying lə·’ab·bêḏ נְפָשׁ֔וֹת lives nə·p̄ā·šō·wṯ לְמַ֖עַן for lə·ma·‘an בְּצֹ֥עַ dishonest gain bə·ṣō·a‘ בָּֽצַע׃ . . . . bā·ṣa‘ Ezekiel 22:28 וּנְבִיאֶ֗יהָ Her prophets ū·nə·ḇî·’e·hā טָח֤וּ vvv ṭā·ḥū תָּפֵ֔ל whitewash tā·p̄êl לָהֶם֙ [these deeds] lā·hem שָׁ֔וְא by false šāw חֹזִ֣ים visions ḥō·zîm כָּזָ֑ב and lying kā·zāḇ וְקֹסְמִ֥ים divinations wə·qō·sə·mîm לָהֶ֖ם , lā·hem אֹמְרִ֗ים saying , ’ō·mə·rîm כֹּ֤ה ‘ This is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֙ says , ’ ’ā·mar וַֽיהוָ֖ה when YHWH Yah·weh לֹ֥א has not lō דִבֵּֽר׃ spoken . ḏib·bêr Ezekiel 22:29 עַ֤ם The people ‘am הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ of the land hā·’ā·reṣ עָ֣שְׁקוּ have practiced ‘ā·šə·qū עֹ֔שֶׁק extortion ‘ō·šeq וְגָזְל֖וּ and committed robbery wə·ḡā·zə·lū גָּזֵ֑ל . . . . gā·zêl הוֹנ֔וּ They have oppressed hō·w·nū וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- וְעָנִ֤י the poor wə·‘ā·nî וְאֶבְיוֹן֙ and needy wə·’eḇ·yō·wn עָשְׁק֖וּ and have exploited ‘ā·šə·qū הַגֵּ֥ר the foreign resident hag·gêr בְּלֹ֥א without bə·lō מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ justice . miš·pāṭ Ezekiel 22:30 וָאֲבַקֵּ֣שׁ I searched for wā·’ă·ḇaq·qêš אִ֣ישׁ a man ’îš מֵהֶ֡ם among them mê·hem גֹּֽדֵר־ to repair gō·ḏêr- גָּדֵר֩ the wall gā·ḏêr וְעֹמֵ֨ד and stand wə·‘ō·mêḏ בַּפֶּ֧רֶץ in the gap bap·pe·reṣ לְפָנַ֛י before Me lə·p̄ā·nay בְּעַ֥ד on behalf of bə·‘aḏ הָאָ֖רֶץ the land , hā·’ā·reṣ לְבִלְתִּ֣י so that I should not lə·ḇil·tî שַׁחֲתָ֑הּ destroy it . ša·ḥă·ṯāh מָצָֽאתִי׃ But I found mā·ṣā·ṯî וְלֹ֖א no one . wə·lō Ezekiel 22:31 וָאֶשְׁפֹּ֤ךְ So I have poured out wā·’eš·pōḵ זַעְמִ֔י My indignation za‘·mî עֲלֵיהֶם֙ upon them ‘ă·lê·hem כִּלִּיתִ֑ים and consumed them kil·lî·ṯîm בְּאֵ֥שׁ with the fire bə·’êš עֶבְרָתִ֖י of My fury . ‘eḇ·rā·ṯî נָתַ֔תִּי I have brought nā·ṯat·tî דַּרְכָּם֙ their ways dar·kām בְּרֹאשָׁ֣ם down upon their own heads , bə·rō·šām נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהֹוִֽה׃פ YHWH . ” Yah·weh
