לֹא־ will not remain as they are : lō- זֹ֔את . . . zōṯ הַגְבֵּ֔הַ Exalt haḡ·bē·ha הַשָּׁפָ֣לָה the lowly haš·šā·p̄ā·lāh וְהַגָּבֹ֖הַ and bring low wə·hag·gå̄·ḇō·ha הַשְׁפִּֽיל׃ the exalted . haš·pîl Ezekiel 21:27 עַוָּ֥ה A ruin , ‘aw·wāh עַוָּ֖ה a ruin , ‘aw·wāh אֲשִׂימֶ֑נָּה I will make it ’ă·śî·men·nāh עַוָּ֣ה a ruin ! ‘aw·wāh גַּם־ And gam- זֹאת֙ it zōṯ לֹ֣א will not lō הָיָ֔ה be restored hā·yāh עַד־ until ‘aḏ- בֹּ֛א the arrival bō אֲשֶׁר־ of Him to whom ’ă·šer- ל֥וֹ it belongs , lōw וּנְתַתִּֽיו׃פ to whom I have assigned ū·nə·ṯat·tîw הַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט the right of judgment . ’ ham·miš·pāṭ Ezekiel 21:28 וְאַתָּ֣ה Now wə·’at·tāh הִנָּבֵ֤א prophesy , hin·nā·ḇê בֶן־ son ḇen- אָדָ֗ם of man , ’ā·ḏām וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ and declare wə·’ā·mar·tā כֹּ֤ה that this is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהֹוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֙ says ’ā·mar אֶל־ concerning ’el- בְּנֵ֥י the Ammonites bə·nê עַמּ֖וֹן . . . ‘am·mō·wn וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- חֶרְפָּתָ֑ם and their contempt ḥer·pā·ṯām וְאָמַרְתָּ֗ - : wə·’ā·mar·tā חֶ֣רֶב ‘ A sword ! ḥe·reḇ חֶ֤רֶב A sword ḥe·reḇ פְּתוּחָה֙ is drawn pə·ṯū·ḥāh לְטֶ֣בַח for slaughter , lə·ṭe·ḇaḥ מְרוּטָ֔ה polished mə·rū·ṭāh לְהָכִ֖יל to consume , lə·hā·ḵîl לְמַ֥עַן to lə·ma·‘an בָּרָֽק׃ flash like lightning — bā·rāq Ezekiel 21:29 שָׁ֔וְא while they offer false šāw בַּחֲז֥וֹת visions ba·ḥă·zō·wṯ לָךְ֙ for you lāḵ כָּזָ֑ב and lying kā·zāḇ בִּקְסָם־ divinations biq·sām- לָ֖ךְ about you — lāḵ לָתֵ֣ת to be placed lā·ṯêṯ אוֹתָ֗ךְ - ’ō·w·ṯāḵ אֶֽל־ on ’el- צַוְּארֵי֙ the necks ṣaw·wə·rê רְשָׁעִ֔ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm חַֽלְלֵ֣י who are slain , ḥal·lê אֲשֶׁר־ whose ’ă·šer- יוֹמָ֔ם day yō·w·mām בָּ֣א has come , bā בְּעֵ֖ת the time bə·‘êṯ עֲוֺ֥ן of their final punishment ‘ă·wōn קֵֽץ׃ . . . . qêṣ Ezekiel 21:30 הָשַׁ֖ב Return [the sword] hā·šaḇ אֶל־ to ’el- תַּעְרָ֑הּ its sheath ! ta‘·rāh בִּמְק֧וֹם In the place bim·qō·wm אֲשֶׁר־ where ’ă·šer- נִבְרֵ֛את you were created , niḇ·rêṯ בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ מְכֻרוֹתַ֖יִךְ of your origin , mə·ḵu·rō·w·ṯa·yiḵ אֶשְׁפֹּ֥ט I will judge ’eš·pōṭ אֹתָֽךְ׃ you . ’ō·ṯāḵ Ezekiel 21:31 וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֤י I will pour out wə·šā·p̄aḵ·tî זַעְמִ֔י My anger za‘·mî עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ upon you ; ‘ā·la·yiḵ אָפִ֣יחַ I will breathe ’ā·p̄î·aḥ בְּאֵ֥שׁ the fire bə·’êš עֶבְרָתִ֖י of My fury ‘eḇ·rā·ṯî עָלָ֑יִךְ against you ; ‘ā·lā·yiḵ וּנְתַתִּ֗יךְ I will hand you over to ū·nə·ṯat·tîḵ בְּיַד֙ . . . bə·yaḏ בֹּֽעֲרִ֔ים brutal bō·‘ă·rîm אֲנָשִׁ֣ים men , ’ă·nā·šîm חָרָשֵׁ֖י skilled ḥā·rā·šê מַשְׁחִֽית׃ in destruction . maš·ḥîṯ
