עָמַ֨ד stands ‘ā·maḏ אֶל־ at ’el- אֵ֣ם the fork ’êm הַדֶּ֗רֶךְ in the road , had·de·reḵ בְּרֹ֛אשׁ at the junction bə·rōš שְׁנֵ֥י of the two šə·nê הַדְּרָכִ֖ים roads , had·də·rā·ḵîm לִקְסָם־ to seek liq·sām- קָ֑סֶם an omen : qā·sem קִלְקַ֤ל He shakes qil·qal בַּֽחִצִּים֙ the arrows , ba·ḥiṣ·ṣîm שָׁאַ֣ל he consults šā·’al בַּתְּרָפִ֔ים the idols , bat·tə·rā·p̄îm רָאָ֖ה he examines rā·’āh בַּכָּבֵֽד׃ the liver . bak·kā·ḇêḏ Ezekiel 21:22 בִּֽימִינ֞וֹ In his right hand bî·mî·nōw הָיָ֣ה׀ appears hā·yāh הַקֶּ֣סֶם the portent haq·qe·sem יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם for Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim לָשׂ֤וּם where he is to set up lā·śūm כָּרִים֙ battering rams , kā·rîm לִפְתֹּ֤חַ to call for lip̄·tō·aḥ פֶּה֙ . . . peh בְּרֶ֔צַח the slaughter , bə·re·ṣaḥ לְהָרִ֥ים to lift lə·hā·rîm ק֖וֹל a battle cry qō·wl בִּתְרוּעָ֑ה . . . , biṯ·rū·‘āh לָשׂ֤וּם to direct lā·śūm כָּרִים֙ the battering rams kā·rîm עַל־ against ‘al- שְׁעָרִ֔ים the gates , šə·‘ā·rîm לִשְׁפֹּ֥ךְ to build liš·pōḵ סֹלְלָ֖ה a ramp , sō·lə·lāh לִבְנ֥וֹת and to erect liḇ·nō·wṯ דָּיֵֽק׃ a siege wall . dā·yêq Ezekiel 21:23 וְהָיָ֨ה It will seem wə·hā·yāh לָהֶ֤ם like lā·hem שָׁוְא֙ a false šāw כִּקְסוֹם omen kiq·sōm בְּעֵ֣ינֵיהֶ֔ם to the eyes bə·‘ê·nê·hem שְׁבֻעֵ֥י of those who have sworn šə·ḇu·‘ê שְׁבֻע֖וֹת allegiance šə·ḇu·‘ō·wṯ לָהֶ֑ם to him , lā·hem וְהֽוּא־ but it wə·hū- מַזְכִּ֥יר will draw attention maz·kîr עָוֺ֖ן to their guilt ‘ā·wōn לְהִתָּפֵֽשׂ׃פ and take them captive . lə·hit·tā·p̄êś Ezekiel 21:24 לָכֵ֗ן Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּֽה־ this is what kōh- אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִה֒ YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֮ says : ’ā·mar יַ֗עַן ‘ Because ya·‘an הַזְכַּרְכֶם֙ you have drawn attention haz·kar·ḵem עֲוֺ֣נְכֶ֔ם to your guilt , ‘ă·wō·nə·ḵem בְּהִגָּל֣וֹת exposing bə·hig·gā·lō·wṯ פִּשְׁעֵיכֶ֗ם your transgressions , piš·‘ê·ḵem חַטֹּ֣אותֵיכֶ֔ם so that your sins ḥaṭ·ṭō·w·ṯê·ḵem לְהֵֽרָאוֹת֙ are revealed lə·hê·rā·’ō·wṯ בְּכֹ֖ל in all bə·ḵōl עֲלִילֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם your deeds — ‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯê·ḵem יַ֚עַן because ya·‘an הִזָּ֣כֶרְכֶ֔ם you have come to remembrance — hiz·zā·ḵer·ḵem תִּתָּפֵֽשׂוּ׃פ you shall be taken tit·tā·p̄ê·śū בַּכַּ֖ף in hand . bak·kap̄ Ezekiel 21:25 וְאַתָּה֙ And you , wə·’at·tāh חָלָ֣ל O profane ḥā·lāl רָשָׁ֔ע and wicked rā·šā‘ נְשִׂ֖יא prince nə·śî יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- יוֹמ֔וֹ the day yō·w·mōw בְּעֵ֖ת . . . bə·‘êṯ בָּ֣א has come bā עֲוֺ֥ן for your final punishment ‘ă·wōn קֵֽץ׃ס . . . . ’ qêṣ Ezekiel 21:26 כֹּ֤ה This is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar הָסִיר֙ ‘ Remove hā·sîr הַמִּצְנֶ֔פֶת the turban , ham·miṣ·ne·p̄eṯ וְהָרִ֖ים and take off wə·hā·rîm הָֽעֲטָרָ֑ה the crown . hā·‘ă·ṭā·rāh זֹ֣את Things zōṯ
