Ezekiel 20:11 וָאֶתֵּ֤ן And I gave wā·’et·tên לָהֶם֙ them lā·hem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- חֻקּוֹתַ֔י My statutes ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הוֹדַ֣עְתִּי and made known hō·w·ḏa‘·tî אוֹתָ֑ם to them ’ō·w·ṯām מִשְׁפָּטַ֖י My ordinances — miš·pā·ṭay הָאָדָ֖ם for the man hā·’ā·ḏām אֲשֶׁ֨ר who ’ă·šer יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה does [these things] ya·‘ă·śeh אוֹתָ֛ם - ’ō·w·ṯām וָחַ֥י will live wā·ḥay בָּהֶֽם׃ by them . bā·hem Ezekiel 20:12 וְגַ֤ם I also wə·ḡam אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נָתַ֣תִּי gave nā·ṯat·tî לָהֶ֔ם them lā·hem שַׁבְּתוֹתַי֙ My Sabbaths šab·bə·ṯō·w·ṯay לִהְי֣וֹת vvv lih·yō·wṯ לְא֔וֹת as a sign lə·’ō·wṯ בֵּינִ֖י between us bê·nî וּבֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם . . . , ū·ḇê·nê·hem לָדַ֕עַת so that they would know lā·ḏa·‘aṯ כִּ֛י that kî אֲנִ֥י I ’ă·nî יְהוָ֖ה am YHWH Yah·weh מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃ who sanctifies them . mə·qad·də·šām Ezekiel 20:13 בֵֽית־ Yet the house ḇêṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיַּמְרוּ־ rebelled way·yam·rū- בִ֨י against Me ḇî בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר in the wilderness . bam·miḏ·bār לֹא־ They did not lō- הָלָ֜כוּ follow hā·lā·ḵū וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֨י My statutes bə·ḥuq·qō·w·ṯay מָאָ֗סוּ and they rejected mā·’ā·sū מִשְׁפָּטַ֣י My ordinances — miš·pā·ṭay הָֽאָדָם֙ though the man hā·’ā·ḏām אֲשֶׁר֩ who ’ă·šer יַעֲשֶׂ֨ה does [these things] ya·‘ă·śeh אֹתָ֤ם - ’ō·ṯām וָחַ֣י will live wā·ḥay בָּהֶ֔ם by them — bā·hem וְאֶת־ and they wə·’eṯ- מְאֹ֑ד utterly mə·’ōḏ חִלְּל֣וּ profaned ḥil·lə·lū שַׁבְּתֹתַ֖י My Sabbaths . šab·bə·ṯō·ṯay וָאֹמַ֞ר Then I resolved wā·’ō·mar לִשְׁפֹּ֨ךְ to pour liš·pōḵ חֲמָתִ֧י out My wrath ḥă·mā·ṯî עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם upon them ‘ă·lê·hem לְכַלּוֹתָֽם׃ and put an end to them lə·ḵal·lō·w·ṯām בַּמִּדְבָּ֖ר in the wilderness . bam·miḏ·bār Ezekiel 20:14 וָאֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה But I acted wā·’e·‘ĕ·śeh לְמַ֣עַן for the sake lə·ma·‘an שְׁמִ֑י of My name , šə·mî לְבִלְתִּ֤י so that it would not lə·ḇil·tî הֵחֵל֙ be profaned hê·ḥêl לְעֵינֵ֣י in the eyes lə·‘ê·nê הַגּוֹיִ֔ם of the nations hag·gō·w·yim אֲשֶׁ֥ר in whose ’ă·šer לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃ sight lə·‘ê·nê·hem הוֹצֵאתִ֖ים I had brought them out . hō·w·ṣê·ṯîm Ezekiel 20:15 וְגַם־ Moreover , wə·ḡam- יָדִ֛י with an uplifted hand yā·ḏî אֲנִ֗י I ’ă·nî נָשָׂ֧אתִי swore nā·śā·ṯî לָהֶ֖ם to them lā·hem בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר in the wilderness bam·miḏ·bār לְבִלְתִּי֩ that I would not lə·ḇil·tî הָבִ֨יא bring hā·ḇî אוֹתָ֜ם them ’ō·w·ṯām אֶל־ into ’el- הָאָ֣רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נָתַ֗תִּי I had given [them] — nā·ṯat·tî זָבַ֤ת [a land] flowing zā·ḇaṯ חָלָב֙ with milk ḥā·lāḇ וּדְבַ֔שׁ and honey , ū·ḏə·ḇaš צְבִ֥י the glory ṣə·ḇî הִ֖יא . . . hî לְכָל־ of all lə·ḵāl הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ lands — hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ
