בַּֽחֲמִשִׁי֙ of the fifth month , ba·ḥă·mi·šî
מִזִּקְנֵ֥יsome of the eldersmiz·ziq·nê
יִשְׂרָאֵ֖לof Israelyiś·rā·’êl
בָּ֧אוּcamebā·’ū
אֲנָשִׁ֛ים. . .’ă·nā·šîm
לִדְרֹ֣שׁto inquireliḏ·rōš
אֶת־-’eṯ-
יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh
וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּand they sat downway·yê·šə·ḇū
לְפָנָֽי׃סbefore me .lə·p̄ā·nāy

יְהוָ֖הof YHWHYah·weh
וַיְהִ֥יcameway·hî
אֵלַ֥י to me , ’ê·lay
לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr

אָדָ֗ם of man , ’ā·ḏām
דַּבֵּ֞רspeakdab·bêr
אֶת־-’eṯ-
זִקְנֵ֤יto the eldersziq·nê
יִשְׂרָאֵל֙of Israelyiś·rā·’êl
וְאָמַרְתָּ֣and tellwə·’ā·mar·tā
אֲלֵהֶ֔םthem’ă·lê·hem
כֹּ֤הthat this is whatkōh
אֲדֹנָ֣יthe Lord’ă·ḏō·nāy
יְהוִ֔הYHWHYah·weh
אָמַר֙says :’ā·mar
אַתֶּ֣םHave you’at·tem
בָּאִ֑יםcomebā·’îm
הֲלִדְרֹ֥שׁto inquirehă·liḏ·rōš
אֹתִ֖יof Me ?’ō·ṯî
אָ֙נִי֙As surely as’ā·nî
חַי־ I live , ḥay-
אִם־I will not’im-
אִדָּרֵ֣שׁbe consulted’id·dā·rêš
לָכֶ֔ם by you , lā·ḵem
נְאֻ֖םdeclaresnə·’um
אֲדֹנָ֥יthe Lord’ă·ḏō·nāy
יְהוִֽה׃YHWH .Yah·weh
Ezekiel 20:4הֲתִשְׁפֹּ֣טWill you judgehă·ṯiš·pōṭ
אֹתָ֔ם them , ’ō·ṯām
הֲתִשְׁפּ֖וֹט will you judge [them] , hă·ṯiš·pō·wṭ
בֶּן־sonben-
אָדָ֑םof man ?’ā·ḏām
אֶת־-’eṯ-
הוֹדִיעֵֽם׃Confront them withhō·w·ḏî·‘êm
תּוֹעֲבֹ֥תthe abominationstō·w·‘ă·ḇōṯ
אֲבוֹתָ֖םof their fathers’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām

וָאֶשָּׂ֣אI swore an oathwā·’eś·śā
יָדִ֗י. . .yā·ḏî
לְזֶ֙רַע֙to the descendantslə·ze·ra‘
בֵּ֣יתof the housebêṯ
יַֽעֲקֹ֔בof Jacobya·‘ă·qōḇ
וָאִוָּדַ֥עand made Myself knownwā·’iw·wā·ḏa‘
לָהֶ֖םto themlā·hem
בְּאֶ֣רֶץin the landbə·’e·reṣ
מִצְרָ֑יִםof Egypt .miṣ·rā·yim
וָאֶשָּׂ֨אWith an upliftedwā·’eś·śā
יָדִ֤יhandyā·ḏî
לֵאמֹ֔רI saidlê·mōr
לָהֶם֙ to them , lā·hem
אֲנִ֖י‘ I’ă·nî
