Ezekiel 19:8 גּוֹיִ֛ם Then the nations gō·w·yim וַיִּתְּנ֨וּ set out way·yit·tə·nū עָלָ֥יו against him ‘ā·lāw מִמְּדִינ֑וֹת from the provinces mim·mə·ḏî·nō·wṯ סָבִ֖יב on every side . sā·ḇîḇ וַֽיִּפְרְשׂ֥וּ They spread way·yip̄·rə·śū רִשְׁתָּ֖ם their net riš·tām עָלָ֛יו over him ; ‘ā·lāw נִתְפָּֽשׂ׃ he was trapped niṯ·pāś בְּשַׁחְתָּ֥ם in their pit . bə·šaḥ·tām Ezekiel 19:9 בַּֽחַחִ֔ים With hooks ba·ḥa·ḥîm וַֽיִּתְּנֻ֤הוּ they caged him way·yit·tə·nu·hū בַסּוּגַר֙ . . . ḇas·sū·ḡar וַיְבִאֻ֖הוּ and brought him way·ḇi·’u·hū אֶל־ to ’el- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ בָּבֶ֑ל of Babylon . bā·ḇel יְבִאֻ֙הוּ֙ They brought him yə·ḇi·’u·hū בַּמְּצֹד֔וֹת into captivity bam·mə·ṣō·ḏō·wṯ לְמַ֗עַן so that lə·ma·‘an קוֹל֛וֹ his roar qō·w·lōw יִשָּׁמַ֥ע was heard yiš·šā·ma‘ לֹא־ no lō- ע֖וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ אֶל־ on ’el- הָרֵ֥י the mountains hā·rê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Ezekiel 19:10 אִמְּךָ֥ Your mother ’im·mə·ḵā כַגֶּ֛פֶן was like a vine ḵag·ge·p̄en בְּדָמְךָ֖ in your vineyard , bə·ḏā·mə·ḵā שְׁתוּלָ֑ה planted šə·ṯū·lāh עַל־ by ‘al- מַ֣יִם the water ; ma·yim הָיְתָ֖ה it was hā·yə·ṯāh פֹּֽרִיָּה֙ fruitful pō·rî·yāh וַֽעֲנֵפָ֔ה and full of branches wa·‘ă·nê·p̄āh רַבִּֽים׃ because of the abundant rab·bîm מִמַּ֥יִם waters . mim·ma·yim Ezekiel 19:11 וַיִּֽהְיוּ־ It had way·yih·yū- לָ֞הּ lāh עֹ֗ז strong ‘ōz מַטּ֣וֹת branches , maṭ·ṭō·wṯ אֶל־ fit for ’el- מֹֽשְׁלִ֔ים a ruler’s mō·šə·lîm שִׁבְטֵי֙ scepter . šiḇ·ṭê וַתִּגְבַּ֥הּ It towered wat·tiḡ·bah קֽוֹמָת֖וֹ high qō·w·mā·ṯōw עַל־ above ‘al- בֵּ֣ין . . . bên עֲבֹתִ֑ים the thick branches , ‘ă·ḇō·ṯîm וַיֵּרָ֣א conspicuous way·yê·rā בְגָבְה֔וֹ for its height ḇə·ḡā·ḇə·hōw בְּרֹ֖ב and for its dense bə·rōḇ דָּלִיֹּתָֽיו׃ foliage . dā·lî·yō·ṯāw Ezekiel 19:12 וַתֻּתַּ֤שׁ But it was uprooted wat·tut·taš בְּחֵמָה֙ in fury , bə·ḥê·māh הֻשְׁלָ֔כָה cast down huš·lā·ḵāh לָאָ֣רֶץ to the ground , lā·’ā·reṣ הַקָּדִ֖ים and the east haq·qā·ḏîm וְר֥וּחַ wind wə·rū·aḥ הוֹבִ֣ישׁ dried up hō·w·ḇîš פִּרְיָ֑הּ its fruit . pir·yāh עֻזָּ֖הּ Its strong ‘uz·zāh מַטֵּ֥ה branches maṭ·ṭêh הִתְפָּרְק֧וּ were stripped off hiṯ·pā·rə·qū וְיָבֵ֛שׁוּ and they withered ; wə·yā·ḇê·šū אֵ֥שׁ the fire ’êš אֲכָלָֽתְהוּ׃ consumed them . ’ă·ḵā·lā·ṯə·hū Ezekiel 19:13 וְעַתָּ֖ה Now wə·‘at·tāh שְׁתוּלָ֣ה it is planted šə·ṯū·lāh בַמִּדְבָּ֑ר in the wilderness , ḇam·miḏ·bār צִיָּ֥ה in a dry ṣî·yāh וְצָמָֽא׃ and thirsty wə·ṣā·mā בְּאֶ֖רֶץ land . bə·’e·reṣ Ezekiel 19:14 אֵ֜שׁ Fire ’êš וַתֵּצֵ֨א has gone out wat·tê·ṣê מִמַּטֵּ֤ה from its main branch mim·maṭ·ṭêh בַדֶּ֙יהָ֙ . . . ḇad·de·hā אָכָ֔לָה and devoured ’ā·ḵā·lāh פִּרְיָ֣הּ its fruit ; pir·yāh בָ֛הּ on it ḇāh וְלֹא־ no wə·lō-
