וִֽחְיֽוּ׃פand live ! [’’]wiḥ·yū

אֶל־for’el-
נְשִׂיאֵ֖יthe princesnə·śî·’ê
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃of Israelyiś·rā·’êl
Ezekiel 19:2וְאָמַרְתָּ֗and say :wə·’ā·mar·tā
מָ֤ה‘ Whatmāh
אִמְּךָ֙was your mother ?’im·mə·ḵā
לְבִיָּ֔אA lionesslə·ḇî·yā
בֵּ֥יןamongbên
אֲרָי֖וֹתthe lions !’ă·rā·yō·wṯ
רָבָ֑צָהShe lay downrā·ḇā·ṣāh
בְּת֥וֹךְamongbə·ṯō·wḵ
כְּפִרִ֖יםthe young lions ;kə·p̄i·rîm
רִבְּתָ֥הshe rearedrib·bə·ṯāh
גוּרֶֽיהָ׃her cubs .ḡū·re·hā
Ezekiel 19:3וַתַּ֛עַלShe brought upwat·ta·‘al
אֶחָ֥דone’e·ḥāḏ
מִגֻּרֶ֖יהָ of her cubs , mig·gu·re·hā
הָיָ֑הand he becamehā·yāh
כְּפִ֣ירa young lion .kə·p̄îr
וַיִּלְמַ֥דAfter learningway·yil·maḏ
לִטְרָף־to tearliṭ·rāp̄-
טֶ֖רֶף [his] prey , ṭe·rep̄
אָכָֽל׃he devoured’ā·ḵāl
אָדָ֥םmen .’ā·ḏām
Ezekiel 19:4גּוֹיִ֖םWhen the nationsgō·w·yim
וַיִּשְׁמְע֥וּheardway·yiš·mə·‘ū
אֵלָ֛יו of him , ’ê·lāw
נִתְפָּ֑שׂhe was trappedniṯ·pāś
בְּשַׁחְתָּ֣םin their pit .bə·šaḥ·tām
בַֽחַחִ֖יםWith hooksḇa·ḥa·ḥîm
וַיְבִאֻ֥הוּthey led him awayway·ḇi·’u·hū
אֶל־to’el-
אֶ֥רֶץthe land’e·reṣ
מִצְרָֽיִם׃of Egypt .miṣ·rā·yim
Ezekiel 19:5וַתֵּ֙רֶא֙When she sawwat·tê·re
כִּ֣יthat
נֽוֹחֲלָ֔ה she had waited in vain , nō·w·ḥă·lāh
תִּקְוָתָ֑הּthat her hopetiq·wā·ṯāh
אָבְדָ֖ה was lost , ’ā·ḇə·ḏāh
וַתִּקַּ֛חshe tookwat·tiq·qaḥ
אֶחָ֥דanother’e·ḥāḏ
מִגֻּרֶ֖יהָof her cubsmig·gu·re·hā
שָׂמָֽתְהוּ׃and made himśā·mā·ṯə·hū
כְּפִ֥ירa young lion .kə·p̄îr
Ezekiel 19:6וַיִּתְהַלֵּ֥ךְHe prowledway·yiṯ·hal·lêḵ
בְּתוֹךְ־amongbə·ṯō·wḵ-
אֲרָי֖וֹת the lions , ’ă·rā·yō·wṯ
הָיָ֑הand becamehā·yāh
כְּפִ֣ירa young lion .kə·p̄îr
וַיִּלְמַ֥דAfter learningway·yil·maḏ
לִטְרָף־to tearliṭ·rāp̄-
טֶ֖רֶף [his] prey , ṭe·rep̄
אָכָֽל׃he devoured’ā·ḵāl
אָדָ֥םmen .’ā·ḏām
Ezekiel 19:7וַיֵּ֙דַע֙He broke downway·yê·ḏa‘
אַלְמְנוֹתָ֔יוtheir strongholds’al·mə·nō·w·ṯāw
הֶחֱרִ֑יבand devastatedhe·ḥĕ·rîḇ
וְעָרֵיהֶ֖םtheir cities .wə·‘ā·rê·hem
אֶ֙רֶץ֙The land’e·reṣ
וּמְלֹאָ֔הּand everything in itū·mə·lō·’āh
וַתֵּ֤שַׁםshudderedwat·tê·šam
מִקּ֖וֹלat the soundmiq·qō·wl
שַׁאֲגָתֽוֹ׃of his roaring .ša·’ă·ḡā·ṯōw
