וְהָרָשָׁ֗ע the wicked man wə·hā·rā·šā‘ יָשׁוּב֙ turns yā·šūḇ מִכָּל־ from all mik·kāl חַטָּאתוֹ the sins ḥaṭ·ṭå̄·ṯō אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer עָשָׂ֔ה he has committed , ‘ā·śāh וְשָׁמַר֙ keeps wə·šā·mar אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- חֻקּוֹתַ֔י My statutes , ḥu·qō·w·ṯay וְעָשָׂ֥ה and does wə·‘ā·śāh מִשְׁפָּ֖ט what is just miš·pāṭ וּצְדָקָ֑ה and right , ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh חָיֹ֥ה he will surely live ḥā·yōh יִחְיֶ֖ה . . . ; yiḥ·yeh לֹ֥א he will not lō יָמֽוּת׃ die . yā·mūṯ Ezekiel 18:22 כָּל־ None kāl- לֹ֥א . . . lō פְּשָׁעָיו֙ of the transgressions pə·šā·‘āw אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer עָשָׂ֔ה he has committed ‘ā·śāh יִזָּכְר֖וּ will be held yiz·zā·ḵə·rū ל֑וֹ against him . lōw בְּצִדְקָת֥וֹ Because of the righteousness bə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- עָשָׂ֖ה he has practiced , ‘ā·śāh יִֽחְיֶֽה׃ he will live . yiḥ·yeh Ezekiel 18:23 הֶחָפֹ֤ץ Do I take any pleasure he·ḥā·p̄ōṣ אֶחְפֹּץ֙ . . . ’eḥ·pōṣ מ֣וֹת in the death mō·wṯ רָשָׁ֔ע of the wicked ? rā·šā‘ נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֑ה YHWH . Yah·weh הֲל֛וֹא Wouldn’t I prefer hă·lō·w בְּשׁוּב֥וֹ that he turn bə·šū·ḇōw מִדְּרָכָ֖יו from his ways mid·də·rā·ḵāw וְחָיָֽה׃ס and live ? wə·ḥā·yāh Ezekiel 18:24 צַדִּ֤יק But if a righteous man ṣad·dîq וּבְשׁ֨וּב turns ū·ḇə·šūḇ מִצִּדְקָתוֹ֙ from his righteousness miṣ·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯōw וְעָ֣שָׂה and practices wə·‘ā·śāh עָ֔וֶל iniquity , ‘ā·wel כְּכֹ֨ל kə·ḵōl עָשָׂ֧ה committing ‘ā·śāh הַתּוֹעֵב֜וֹת the same abominations hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇō·wṯ אֲשֶׁר־ as ’ă·šer- הָרָשָׁ֛ע the wicked hā·rā·šā‘ יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה . . . , ya·‘ă·śeh וָחָ֑י will he live ? wā·ḥāy כָּל־ . . . kāl- לֹ֣א None lō צִדְקָתוֹ of the righteous acts ṣiḏ·qå̄·ṯō אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- עָשָׂה֙ he did ‘ā·śāh תִזָּכַ֔רְנָה will be remembered . ṯiz·zā·ḵar·nāh מָעַ֛ל Because of the unfaithfulness mā·‘al בְּמַעֲל֧וֹ - bə·ma·‘ă·lōw אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- וּבְחַטָּאת֥וֹ and sin ū·ḇə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- חָטָ֖א he has committed , ḥā·ṭā יָמֽוּת׃ he will die yā·mūṯ בָּ֥ם . bām Ezekiel 18:25 וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם Yet you say , wa·’ă·mar·tem דֶּ֣רֶךְ ‘ The way de·reḵ אֲדֹנָ֑י of the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy לֹ֥א is not lō יִתָּכֵ֖ן just . ’ yit·tā·ḵên שִׁמְעוּ־ Hear šim·‘ū- נָא֙ now , nā בֵּ֣ית O house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel : yiś·rā·’êl הֲדַרְכִּי֙ Is it My way hă·ḏar·kî לֹ֣א that is unjust lō יִתָּכֵ֔ן . . . ? yit·tā·ḵên הֲלֹ֥א Is it not hă·lō דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם your ways ḏar·ḵê·ḵem לֹ֥א that are unjust lō יִתָּכֵֽנוּ׃ . . . ? yit·tā·ḵê·nū Ezekiel 18:26 צַדִּ֧יק If a righteous man ṣad·dîq בְּשׁוּב־ turns bə·šūḇ- מִצִּדְקָת֛וֹ from his righteousness miṣ·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯōw וְעָ֥שָׂה and practices wə·‘ā·śāh
