Ezekiel 17:18 וּבָזָ֥ה He despised ū·ḇā·zāh אָלָ֖ה the oath ’ā·lāh לְהָפֵ֣ר by breaking lə·hā·p̄êr בְּרִ֑ית the covenant . bə·rîṯ וְהִנֵּ֨ה Seeing that wə·hin·nêh נָתַ֥ן he gave nā·ṯan יָד֛וֹ his hand in pledge yā·ḏōw עָשָׂ֖ה yet did ‘ā·śāh וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl אֵ֥לֶּה these [things] , ’êl·leh לֹ֥א he will not lō יִמָּלֵֽט׃ס escape ! ’ yim·mā·lêṭ Ezekiel 17:19 לָכֵ֞ן Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּה־ this is what kōh- אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִה֮ YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֨ר says : ’ā·mar אָנִי֒ ‘ As ’ā·nî אִם־ surely as ’im- לֹ֗א . . . lō חַי־ I live , ḥay- וּנְתַתִּ֖יו I will bring down ū·nə·ṯat·tîw בְּרֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ upon his head bə·rō·šōw אָֽלָתִי֙ My oath ’ā·lā·ṯî אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer בָּזָ֔ה he despised bā·zāh וּבְרִיתִ֖י and My covenant ū·ḇə·rî·ṯî אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer הֵפִ֑יר he broke . hê·p̄îr Ezekiel 17:20 וּפָרַשְׂתִּ֤י I will spread ū·p̄ā·raś·tî רִשְׁתִּ֔י My net riš·tî עָלָיו֙ over him ‘ā·lāw וְנִתְפַּ֖שׂ and catch him wə·niṯ·paś בִּמְצֽוּדָתִ֑י in My snare . bim·ṣū·ḏā·ṯî וַהֲבִיאוֹתִ֣יהוּ I will bring him wa·hă·ḇî·’ō·w·ṯî·hū בָבֶ֗לָה to Babylon ḇā·ḇe·lāh וְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּ֤י and execute judgment wə·niš·paṭ·tî אִתּוֹ֙ upon him ’it·tōw שָׁ֔ם there šām מָֽעַל־ for the treason mā·‘al- אֲשֶׁ֥ר ’ă·šer מַעֲל֖וֹ he committed ma·‘ă·lōw בִּֽי׃ against Me . bî Ezekiel 17:21 וְאֵ֨ת - wə·’êṯ כָּל־ All kāl- מִבְרָחוֹ his choice miḇ·rå̄·ḥō בְּכָל־ - bə·ḵāl אֲגַפָּיו֙ troops ’ă·ḡap·pāw יִפֹּ֔לוּ will fall yip·pō·lū בַּחֶ֣רֶב by the sword , ba·ḥe·reḇ וְהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֖ים and those who survive wə·han·niš·’ā·rîm יִפָּרֵ֑שׂוּ will be scattered yip·pā·rê·śū לְכָל־ to every lə·ḵāl ר֣וּחַ wind . rū·aḥ וִידַעְתֶּ֕ם Then you will know wî·ḏa‘·tem כִּ֛י that kî אֲנִ֥י I , ’ă·nî יְהוָ֖ה YHWH , Yah·weh דִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃ס have spoken . ’ dib·bar·tî Ezekiel 17:22 כֹּ֤ה This is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar אָ֗נִי ‘ I ’ā·nî וְלָקַ֣חְתִּי will take a shoot wə·lā·qaḥ·tî הָרָמָ֖ה from the lofty hā·rā·māh מִצַּמֶּ֧רֶת top miṣ·ṣam·me·reṯ הָאֶ֛רֶז of the cedar , hā·’e·rez וְנָתָ֑תִּי and I will set [it] out . wə·nā·ṯāt·tî אֶקְטֹ֔ף I will pluck ’eq·ṭōp̄ רַ֣ךְ a tender sprig raḵ מֵרֹ֤אשׁ from its topmost mê·rōš יֹֽנְקוֹתָיו֙ shoots , yō·nə·qō·w·ṯāw אָ֔נִי and I ’ā·nî וְשָׁתַ֣לְתִּי will plant it wə·šā·ṯal·tî עַ֥ל on ‘al גָּבֹ֖הַ a high gā·ḇō·ha וְתָלֽוּל׃ and lofty wə·ṯā·lūl הַר־ mountain . har- Ezekiel 17:23 אֶשְׁתֳּלֶ֔נּוּ I will plant it ’eš·to·len·nū בְּהַ֨ר on the mountain bə·har מְר֤וֹם heights mə·rō·wm יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וְנָשָׂ֤א so that it will bear wə·nā·śā עָנָף֙ branches ; ‘ā·nāp̄
