וְדָֽלִיּוֹתָיו֙ its branches wə·ḏā·lî·yō·w·ṯāw לּ֔וֹ to him lōw מַטָּעָֽהּ׃ from its planting maṭ·ṭā·‘āh מֵעֲרֻג֖וֹת bed , mê·‘ă·ru·ḡō·wṯ לְהַשְׁק֣וֹת so that he might water it lə·haš·qō·wṯ אוֹתָ֔הּ - . ’ō·w·ṯāh Ezekiel 17:8 הִ֣יא It hî שְׁתוּלָ֑ה had been planted šə·ṯū·lāh אֶל־ in ’el- טּ֛וֹב good ṭō·wḇ שָׂ֥דֶה soil śā·ḏeh אֶל־ by ’el- רַבִּ֖ים abundant rab·bîm מַ֥יִם waters ma·yim לַעֲשׂ֤וֹת in order to yield la·‘ă·śō·wṯ עָנָף֙ branches ‘ā·nāp̄ וְלָשֵׂ֣את and bear wə·lā·śêṯ פֶּ֔רִי fruit pe·rî לִהְי֖וֹת and become lih·yō·wṯ אַדָּֽרֶת׃ס a splendid ’ad·dā·reṯ לְגֶ֥פֶן vine . ’ lə·ḡe·p̄en Ezekiel 17:9 אֱמֹ֗ר So you are to tell them ’ĕ·mōr כֹּ֥ה that this is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהֹוִ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֛ר says : ’ā·mar תִּצְלָ֑ח ‘ Will it flourish ? tiṣ·lāḥ הֲלוֹא֩ Will it not hă·lō·w אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְנַתֵּ֜ק be uprooted yə·nat·têq וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- שָׁרָשֶׁ֨יהָ - šā·rā·še·hā יְקוֹסֵ֣ס and stripped yə·qō·w·sês פִּרְיָ֣הּ׀ of its fruit pir·yāh וְיָבֵ֗שׁ so that it shrivels ? wə·yā·ḇêš כָּל־ All kāl- טַרְפֵּ֤י its foliage ṭar·pê צִמְחָהּ֙ . . . ṣim·ḥāh תִּיבָ֔שׁ will wither ! tî·ḇāš וְלֹֽא־ It will not take wə·lō- גְּדוֹלָה֙ a strong gə·ḏō·w·lāh בִזְרֹ֤עַ arm ḇiz·rō·a‘ רָ֔ב or many rāḇ וּבְעַם־ people ū·ḇə·‘am- לְמַשְׂא֥וֹת to pull lə·maś·’ō·wṯ אוֹתָ֖הּ it up ’ō·w·ṯāh מִשָּׁרָשֶֽׁיהָ׃ by its roots . miš·šā·rā·še·hā Ezekiel 17:10 וְהִנֵּ֥ה - wə·hin·nêh שְׁתוּלָ֖ה Even if it is transplanted , šə·ṯū·lāh הֲתִצְלָ֑ח will it flourish ? hă·ṯiṣ·lāḥ הֲלוֹא֩ Will it not hă·lō·w תִּיבַ֣שׁ completely wither tî·ḇaš יָבֹ֔שׁ . . . yā·ḇōš הַקָּדִים֙ when the east haq·qā·ḏîm ר֤וּחַ wind rū·aḥ כְגַ֨עַת strikes ḵə·ḡa·‘aṯ בָּ֜הּ ? bāh תִּיבָֽשׁ׃פ It will wither tî·ḇāš עַל־ on ‘al- עֲרֻגֹ֥ת the bed ‘ă·ru·ḡōṯ צִמְחָ֖הּ where it sprouted . ’” ṣim·ḥāh Ezekiel 17:11 דְבַר־ Then the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיְהִ֥י came way·hî אֵלַ֥י to me , ’ê·lay לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr Ezekiel 17:12 נָא֙ “ Now nā אֱמָר־ say to ’ĕ·mār- הַמֶּ֔רִי this rebellious ham·me·rî לְבֵ֣ית house : lə·ḇêṯ הֲלֹ֥א ‘ Do you not hă·lō יְדַעְתֶּ֖ם know yə·ḏa‘·tem מָה־ what māh- אֵ֑לֶּה these [things] [mean] ? ’ ’êl·leh אֱמֹ֗ר Tell [them] , ’ĕ·mōr הִנֵּה־ ‘ Behold , hin·nêh- מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֤ל of Babylon bā·ḇel בָ֨א came ḇā יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ to Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim וַיִּקַּ֤ח carried off way·yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַלְכָּהּ֙ its king mal·kāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- שָׂרֶ֔יהָ and officials , śā·re·hā
