תַּזְנוּתֵ֛ךְ your promiscuity taz·nū·ṯêḵ אֶל־ to ’el- כַּשְׂדִּ֑ימָה Chaldea , kaś·dî·māh אֶ֥רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ כְּנַ֖עַן of merchants — kə·na·‘an וְגַם־ but even wə·ḡam- בְּזֹ֖את with this bə·zōṯ לֹ֥א you were not lō שָׂבָֽעַתְּ׃ satisfied ! śā·ḇā·‘at Ezekiel 16:30 מָ֤ה How māh אֲמֻלָה֙ weak-willed ’ă·mu·lāh לִבָּתֵ֔ךְ is your heart , lib·bā·ṯêḵ נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh בַּעֲשׂוֹתֵךְ֙ while you do ba·‘ă·śō·w·ṯêḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- אֵ֔לֶּה these things , ’êl·leh מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה the acts ma·‘ă·śêh שַׁלָּֽטֶת׃ of a shameless šal·lā·ṭeṯ אִשָּֽׁה־ . . . ’iš·šāh- זוֹנָ֖ה prostitute ! zō·w·nāh Ezekiel 16:31 בִּבְנוֹתַ֤יִךְ But when you built biḇ·nō·w·ṯa·yiḵ גַּבֵּךְ֙ your mounds gab·bêḵ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ at the head bə·rōš כָּל־ of every kāl- דֶּ֔רֶךְ street de·reḵ עָשִׂיתִי and made ʿå̄·śī·ṯī וְרָמָתֵ֥ךְ your lofty shrines wə·rā·mā·ṯêḵ בְּכָל־ in every bə·ḵāl רְח֑וֹב public square , rə·ḥō·wḇ הָיִיתי you were hå̄·yī·ṯ וְלֹא־ not even like wə·lō- כַּזּוֹנָ֖ה a prostitute , kaz·zō·w·nāh לְקַלֵּ֥ס because you scorned lə·qal·lês אֶתְנָֽן׃ payment . ’eṯ·nān Ezekiel 16:32 הַמְּנָאָ֑פֶת You adulterous wife ham·mə·nā·’ā·p̄eṯ הָאִשָּׁ֖ה . . . ! hā·’iš·šāh תִּקַּ֖ח You receive tiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- זָרִֽים׃ strangers zā·rîm תַּ֣חַת instead of ta·ḥaṯ אִישָׁ֔הּ your own husband ! ’î·šāh Ezekiel 16:33 יִתְּנוּ־ Men give yit·tə·nū- נֵ֑דֶה gifts nê·ḏeh לְכָל־ to all lə·ḵāl זֹנ֖וֹת [their] prostitutes , zō·nō·wṯ וְאַ֨תְּ but you wə·’at נָתַ֤תְּ gave nā·ṯat אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נְדָנַ֙יִךְ֙ gifts nə·ḏā·na·yiḵ לְכָל־ to all lə·ḵāl מְאַֽהֲבַ֔יִךְ your lovers . mə·’a·hă·ḇa·yiḵ וַתִּשְׁחֳדִ֣י You bribed wat·tiš·ḥo·ḏî אוֹתָ֗ם them ’ō·w·ṯām לָב֥וֹא to come lā·ḇō·w אֵלַ֛יִךְ to you ’ê·la·yiḵ מִסָּבִ֖יב from everywhere mis·sā·ḇîḇ בְּתַזְנוּתָֽיִךְ׃ for your illicit favors . bə·ṯaz·nū·ṯā·yiḵ Ezekiel 16:34 בָ֨ךְ So your ḇāḵ בְּתַזְנוּתַ֔יִךְ prostitution bə·ṯaz·nū·ṯa·yiḵ וַיְהִי־ is way·hî- הֵ֤פֶךְ the opposite hê·p̄eḵ מִן־ of that min- הַנָּשִׁים֙ of other women : han·nā·šîm לֹ֣א No one lō וְאַחֲרַ֖יִךְ solicited wə·’a·ḥă·ra·yiḵ זוּנָּ֑ה your favors , zūn·nāh וּבְתִתֵּ֣ךְ and you paid ū·ḇə·ṯit·têḵ אֶתְנָ֗ן a fee ’eṯ·nān לֹ֥א instead of lō נִתַּן־ receiving nit·tan- וְאֶתְנַ֛ן one ; wə·’eṯ·nan לָ֖ךְ so you lāḵ וַתְּהִ֥י are wat·tə·hî לְהֶֽפֶךְ׃ the very opposite ! lə·he·p̄eḵ Ezekiel 16:35 לָכֵ֣ן Therefore , lā·ḵên זוֹנָ֔ה O prostitute , zō·w·nāh שִׁמְעִ֖י hear šim·‘î דְּבַר־ the word də·ḇar- יְהוָֽה׃פ of YHWH !
