יֵֽעָשֶׂ֖ה be made yê·‘ā·śeh לִמְלָאכָ֑ה useful . lim·lā·ḵāh אַ֣ף How much less ’ap̄ ע֖וֹד can it ever ‘ō·wḏ וְנַעֲשָׂ֥ה be wə·na·‘ă·śāh לִמְלָאכָֽה׃ס useful lim·lā·ḵāh כִּי־ when kî- אֵ֤שׁ the fire ’êš אֲכָלַ֙תְהוּ֙ has consumed it ’ă·ḵā·laṯ·hū וַיֵּחָ֔ר and charred it ! way·yê·ḥār Ezekiel 15:6 לָכֵ֗ן Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּ֤ה this is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר ‘ Like ka·’ă·šer עֵץ־ the wood ‘êṣ- הַגֶּ֙פֶן֙ of the vine hag·ge·p̄en בְּעֵ֣ץ among the trees bə·‘êṣ הַיַּ֔עַר of the forest , hay·ya·‘ar אֲשֶׁר־ which ’ă·šer- נְתַתִּ֥יו I have given nə·ṯat·tîw לָאֵ֖שׁ to the fire lā·’êš לְאָכְלָ֑ה for fuel , lə·’āḵ·lāh כֵּ֣ן so kên נָתַ֔תִּי I will give up nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יֹשְׁבֵ֖י the people yō·šə·ḇê יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ of Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Ezekiel 15:7 וְנָתַתִּ֤י And I will set wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ ’eṯ- פָּנַי֙ My face pā·nay בָּהֶ֔ם against them . bā·hem יָצָ֔אוּ Though they may have escaped yā·ṣā·’ū מֵהָאֵ֣שׁ the fire , mê·hā·’êš וְהָאֵ֖שׁ yet another fire wə·hā·’êš תֹּֽאכְלֵ֑ם will consume them . tō·ḵə·lêm בְּשׂוּמִ֥י And when I set bə·śū·mî אֶת־ ’eṯ- פָּנַ֖י My face pā·nay בָּהֶֽם׃ against them , bā·hem וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙ you will know wî·ḏa‘·tem כִּֽי־ that kî- אֲנִ֣י I [am] ’ă·nî יְהוָ֔ה YHWH . Yah·weh Ezekiel 15:8 וְנָתַתִּ֥י Thus I will make wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֖רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ שְׁמָמָ֑ה desolate , šə·mā·māh יַ֚עַן because ya·‘an מָ֣עֲלוּ they have acted unfaithfully mā·‘ă·lū מַ֔עַל . . . , ’ ma·‘al נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִֽה׃פ YHWH . ” Yah·weh Ezekiel 16:1 דְבַר־ Again the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיְהִ֥י came way·hî אֵלַ֥י to me , ’ê·lay לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr Ezekiel 16:2 בֶּן־ “ Son ben- אָדָ֕ם of man , ’ā·ḏām הוֹדַ֥ע confront hō·w·ḏa‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim אֶת־ with her ’eṯ- תּוֹעֲבֹתֶֽיהָ׃ abominations tō·w·‘ă·ḇō·ṯe·hā Ezekiel 16:3 וְאָמַרְתָּ֞ and tell [her that] wə·’ā·mar·tā כֹּה־ this is what kōh- אֲדֹנָ֤י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִה֙ YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֨ר says ’ā·mar לִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם to Jerusalem : lî·rū·šā·lim מְכֹרֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ Your origin mə·ḵō·rō·ṯa·yiḵ וּמֹ֣לְדֹתַ֔יִךְ and your birth ū·mō·lə·ḏō·ṯa·yiḵ מֵאֶ֖רֶץ were in the land mê·’e·reṣ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֑י of the Canaanites . hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî אָבִ֥יךְ Your father ’ā·ḇîḵ הָאֱמֹרִ֖י was an Amorite hā·’ĕ·mō·rî וְאִמֵּ֥ךְ and your mother wə·’im·mêḵ חִתִּֽית׃ a Hittite . ḥit·tîṯ
